Miracle's POV
I felt glad Chad and Stella dragged me away from Jace since I don't have the courage to leave him because I want to stay with him. As Charles drove away I am looking at Jace's figure in the rearview mirror and my heart is enveloped with sadness. How I wish my Dad didn't fire him so we can be together. I did not realize that my tears were just flowing on their own. And I felt Stella put my head on her shoulder. She let me cry on her shoulder and I know my friends just let me cry in silence since they didn't talk and Charles lower the volume of the car's stereo.
I fell asleep without realizing it and I felt a gentle tapping on my shoulder when we reach my grandma Amelia's manor, and I didn't expect to find my father on the porch waiting for us. I know he has been monitoring our location the moment we left Jace's place. My father is a busy man and I felt glad that for the first time I saw him relax. Dad stands up when he saw me climbed out of the car.
