Giving Her Hope
Jace's POV
I quickly grab Marlon's arm by his wrist, making sure the gun is away from me. I twist his arm with the weapon and then turn him over to the ground as I spin to the right while still holding his arm. Then I keep attacking his arm until I disarm him, and I immediately put the handcuffs on his wrists. I am so glad that Charles could defeat Marlon's companion while I saw Mark and Chris fight Michael's remaining men without using their firearms.
I am already on my way to go to the building where they held the White family when I heard the gunshot, and I run as fast as I can, and I can feel my knees trembled when I heard another sound of gunshot; I don't know what is going on inside but I can feel it in my core that something terrible happen. I felt glad that Charles is running behind me. And as I open the door wide, I am horrified to see the scene before my eyes. Miracle, Caitlin, and Thomas White lie on the floor while Michael is on his knees.
