Chapter 5

They reached at the place of Aunt Ella in about forty minutes. Angelina showed them the apartment, but when they tried opening in it was locked from inside the pressed the bell and waited for sometime but no one answered. Scared Angelina looked at the officer Sonia and saw her calling someone. After sometime a man came there with different kinds of tools and started talking with the officer. From the conversation Angelina and Andrew picked up that the man worked for police and he was here to open the door.

The door was unlocked in a fraction of minute. The officer Sonia signaled Angelina and Andrew to wait outside and went inside with the other officers who came with them leaving Angelina and Andrew alone with a gloomy looking officer.

An officer came outside and asked them to follow in. Inside the house was well decorated but what gave the two of them the shock was of the sofa an old lady in her seventies was lying dead and there was a body of a man in his thirties on the floor. On seeing this Angelina panicked and cried "Grandma! Uncle Smith! What's happening? Are they also..." her voice chocked and she went near to them. The officer Sonia came out from a room at that moment and stopped her from going near.

She asked, "So are they the in law's of Ms Ella?"

"Yes!" pointing towards the man Angelina said "He is her husband" pointing towards the old lady she said "She is her mother in law"

"Okay. Come inside with me and tell about her." Said the officer Sonia while walking in the room from where she came out on hearing the voice of Angelina. Inside the room on the bed of a small child was a girl of five in beautiful frock. On seeing this there was horror in Angelina's voice she spoke while chocking "She is my cousin and Aunt Ella's daughter, Anushka. I can't believe she even harmed her own daughter. How could she do this to her own daughter? Why is she doing all this?"

"The people outside were stabbed and murdered but she was hit on her head and can still be saved. But the thing is where Ella is. Also, your parents were also killed in this way. We have called for an ambulance which will arrive here in some time and take her to the hospital for treatment. You two go with her till we search this place. Also with this it can be proved that Angelina did not do anything so there is nothing more to worry but If we find evidence against her then we won't be able to do anything. Look the ambulance has arrived come on go with her and you are not leaving the hospital without my permission. Got it? I am sending one of my men with you to keep an eye on you and also to make sure you and this Anushka remain safe."

Angelina and Andrew nodded their heads in unison and left.
