Chapter 44: Refuse

"hey mom" Jordy greeted his mom respectfully while ushering her to a seat and sitting close to her. he was a mommy's boy after all

"hi son. how are you doing? where are the rest of the guys?" his mother asked

"I'm fine mom and the guys are helping the girls to prepare for the event" Jordy replied his mother

"by the girls I suppose you mean FS?" his mother asked

"yes mom. they are the ones arranging everything for the event" Jordy told her

"oh that reminds me. on my way here, I met a beautiful young lady who also happens to attend this same university" his mother announced happily

"mom" Jordy groaned "I already have someone I like remember"

"really? I saw it in the news but I doubted it. you should have told me earlier and I wouldn't have set up a blind date for you. so who is it?" his mom asked

"wait mom. did you just say you set up a blind date for me?" Jordy asked his mom

" yes. it's with a friend's daughter. she's really nice but since you have someone you like, just meet her and explain it to her. so tell me who is this girl you are dating?" his mom asked impatiently

"he isn't dating her yet. she hasn't agreed" Yan said announcing their presence as the three of them descended the stairs and greeted Jordy's mom

" wait. you mean to tell me that the girl is still keeping him waiting? " his mom asked.

" it's not like that. she doesn't want to be in a relationship with anyone for now because of her past experiences. I was lucky enough to be able to get her to agree to be on a one month trial relationship" Jordy explained to his mom

" so have you taken her out on a date yet? " his mom asked

" yes. once before she agreed to the trial dating and another time after she agreed" Jordy said making his mom shake his head

"know long has it been since she agreed? " his mom asked

" today marks the ninth day" Jordy said

"in all honesty, if I was the lady I wouldn't think twice in turning you down at the end of the month. you've spent 9 days leaving roughly about 21 days and you've only taken her out just once. you have to maximize your opportunities if you know you want to date her for real" his mother lectured him

" I'm so glad you're speaking to him. he has refused to listen to us" Jetty said

" when did I ever refuse. I just don't have time" Jordy explained

" if you don't have time now to win her heart, is it when you're dating her for real that you'll have the time? that's if she even agrees" his mom asked " at this rate it'll be a miracle for that girl to agree to date you"

" okay fine. how do you plan a date? " Jordy asked

" well only you can. since you know more about her than the rest of us" his mom said
