EMILY'S STANDPOINT
"So what's your plan to thwart the arrangement of your intended marriage to Alexander?" I asked curiously as we headed back into the office.
"Well I don't have any plan," she shrugged nonchalantly, looking unbothered and I gave her a confused look.
"What then do you want to do to thwart it?"
"I simply have to be myself. No sane man will want to be with me once they get to meet the real me," she replied, smiling.
"You're sure about that?" I asked, my eyebrows furrowed.
"Trust me, I'm more than confident in my bad character," she patted me on the shoulders, smiling before heading into Alexander's office.
"Wait!" I made to stop her but she was already in the office, the door shut closed behind her.
I was suppose to inform Alexander of her presence first before she went in.
What kind of secretary am I?
He probably saw her already through the glass.
