"Why don't you simply crawl back to where you came from?" Sophia Dawn's voice cut through the air like a knife as she stormed into Serena's cabin, her presence as brash as her words.
Serena glanced up from her work, irritation bubbling beneath her calm exterior. "Sophia. So, today it's your turn to entertain me?" she replied, her tone laced with sarcasm.
"Do I look like I'm here to entertain you?" Sophia snapped back, eyes wide with indignation. "I'm here to question you! Who do you think you are, anyway?"
Serena met her gaze, a weary sigh escaping her lips. She took a moment to appraise Sophia, who was younger but carried herself with an air of superiority that grated on Serena's nerves. Spoiled rotten by her overindulgent mother, Sophia had been raised to believe she was above everyone else. The heavy makeup plastered across her face only amplified that sense of entitlement, giving her a look that Serena could only describe as grotesque.
