"No, Nothing's wrong," Les replied, readjusting his demeanor and tone.

"Then why are you in such a hurry?" Kly asked with a disappointed sigh.

Les smiled at Nelphy, asking, "How did the test go? Did you get the job?"

Feeling the awkwardness hidden underneath that question, Nelphy smiled back before looking at Kly. "I was lucky enough to impress Kly."

"Kly? …" Blinking, Les looked at his father in surprise. "I believe you mean to address him as–"

"Nelphy didn't misspeak," Kly stated, cutting his son off. "From this point on, Nelphy is the cafe manager. She's more of a business partner than an employee, so I prefer her addressing me by name, Son."

"O-Oh. Okay," Les agreed with a nod. "It's a pleasure to have you join the Parnap's family. I look forward to working together."

"Thank you," Nelphy accepted his handshake with a simple nod and quick grin.
