Back at the Bar

Far from most celebrations, the town of Boarril was mostly barren by sunset. All the townsfolk stayed in the city to enjoy the unnamed holiday to the fullest, with only a handful of citizens staying in Boarril out of homesickness.

Even further from the festivities, there were no lights to be found at the bar near the broken town wall.

Yet Kriff walked back to the pub with eyes glowing in excitement. He didn't need lights on the road to find his way to the place that Kriff happily called his new home.

Upon grabbing the doorknob, however, Kriff was startled when it didn't turn.

Clunk…

The lock suddenly undid itself before the door drifted open, with no effort on Kriff's side. It was alarming at first. Until Kriff spotted a man already sitting at the bar.

"Master Bil!"

Kriff bolted past the lone table in the dining room and dropped to one knee out of habit.
