"What is that? Such a huge monster!"
Lucy gasped in shock, her hand covering her mouth.
Lullaby, the demon that had transformed from the cursed flute, stood over 100 meters tall, its body resembling dry, twisted wood with a massive hollow in its chest. The creature let out an ear-piercing roar, shaking the very air around it.
"It's a demon from Zeref's book…"
A voice came from behind. Startled, Lucy turned around to see three guild masters standing there. The one who spoke was Goldman, the guild master of the Four Hounds. He wore a tall magic hat and black sunglasses.
"It's Lullaby, a living magic," Goldman said gravely.
Lucy blinked in surprise. "Weren't you all asleep?"
"We heard the commotion and decided to follow you," Makarov said, coughing.
Bob added, "Zeref is the most feared dark wizard in the history of magic. I never imagined one of his cursed creations would resurface in this age."
As they spoke, the massive Lullaby demon locked its eyes on Lucy and the three guild masters. Its deep voice echoed ominously.
"Annoying wizards! You will perish! Offer your delicious souls!"
Opening its grotesque mouth, the demon released a dark wave of magic, spreading across the land and draining life from everything in its path. Trees and plants withered instantly, as if their very souls had been sucked away.
Then, with a sudden surge, a massive dark beam shot out from Lullaby's mouth, aimed directly at Lucy and the others.
Lucy screamed, bracing herself for impact. The dark beam tore across the ground, cutting through the earth like a giant blade.
But before it could hit them, Makarov's eyes narrowed. In an instant, a giant golden magic circle appeared, blocking the attack effortlessly.
Boom!
The dark beam exploded against the barrier, flames lighting up the night sky.
"As expected of little Makarov," Bob said, striking a dramatic pose. "If we had been hit by that, our life force would've been drained completely."
Lucy was on the verge of fainting from fear. She couldn't believe how unfazed Bob seemed despite the deadly situation.
Meanwhile, under the demon Lullaby's feet, Knight stood calmly, inspecting a branch from a withered tree. He held it between his hands, black lightning crackling around it.
"Demon creation…" Knight murmured. A black magic circle formed around the branch, and as he infused it with magic, the branch began to change shape, growing arms and legs, vaguely resembling Lullaby. However, it remained lifeless.
"Useless. It lacks a soul," Knight sighed, tossing the failed creation aside. "It's not enough to just observe other people's magic."
He glanced up at the towering Lullaby demon, still roaring and thrashing violently.
"Your screams are too ugly," Knight muttered. He slowly ascended into the sky and clenched his fist. "One Star: Air Shock."
He punched the air, and instantly, the atmosphere cracked with a sharp vibration. Fissures spread through the air, and suddenly, Lullaby's massive body began to crumble.
"What… what kind of magic is this? My body…!" Lullaby cried out, watching in horror as its wooden form shattered. Piece by piece, the demon's body collapsed, falling to the ground in a heap of broken timber with a thunderous crash.
From a distance, President Goldman watched in awe. "What incredible power! Is this advanced magic? How amazing for someone so young to master it!"
Makarov smiled. "Vibration magic is not that uncommon, but a wizard who has refined it to Knight's level is rare."
Lucy stared at the scene, speechless. She couldn't decide whether Lullaby was too weak or Knight was just too strong. Perhaps both.
The next day, despite the destruction from the battle the previous night, the routine meeting of the guild masters continued as planned. However, since Natsu and Eligor's fight had destroyed the original building, the venue had to be moved to Kuloba Town.
By noon, the Council's enforcement team arrived, tasked with detaining the remaining members of the Iron Forest guild, including Eligor, who had been defeated by Natsu.
"Thank you, Fairy Tail wizards, for your help in this matter," one of the Council officers said, bowing slightly.
Nate shook his head modestly. "It wasn't me. Natsu defeated Eligor, and Gray handled the others who tried to escape."
"What about me?" Lucy chimed in, eager to be acknowledged.
Happy floated by, rolling his eyes. "Lucy, you didn't do anything."
"Quiet, you little furball!" Lucy blushed in embarrassment, realizing she hadn't contributed much.
The captain of the enforcement team laughed. "Regardless, we appreciate your help. By the way, Sir Knight, could I have a word with you?"
Knight followed him aside. "What's this about?"
The captain hesitated for a moment, then asked, "I've heard about the magic rings you developed for logging into the magic network. Do you have any available for sale?"
"Rings?" Knight reached into his pocket and pulled out a small pouch containing several magic rings. He handed a few to the captain.
The captain's face lit up, and he quickly paid 150,000 Jewel for them.
"Thank you so much," the captain said, clearly satisfied with the transaction. He waved to the Fairy Tail team. "Well then, goodbye. And please, try to avoid causing too much damage next time."
With that, the Council's team escorted the prisoners away, including Eligor and the remaining Iron Forest wizards, who would soon face trial and imprisonment.
As the Council members disappeared into the distance, Knight turned to his companions. "The guild masters' meeting is almost over, but we've still got some time before we head back. Let's split up and do our own thing."
With that, Knight wandered off toward a gift shop.
Later, as Knight and the others boarded the train for their return trip, the Council's enforcement unit was still escorting the captured Iron Forest members to the Council branch in Fiore.
Though their crimes were clear, the trial process had to be completed before they were sent to prison.
The group marched down a quiet road when suddenly the team leader raised his hand.
"Wait!" he commanded.
The group stopped, looking ahead to see a girl standing in the middle of the road, her eyes closed. She looked to be in her teens and stood perfectly still, blocking the convoy's path.
The civil servants tensed, recognizing her.
"It's… her!" one of them muttered, alarmed.
"All troops on high alert!" the leader barked.
The girl, with short silver hair, a blue headband, and an angelic halo, opened her eyes. She wore long gloves and slowly produced a golden key from her pocket.
"Open, Gate of the Scorpion: Scorpio," she whispered.
In mere moments, the entire enforcement team was wiped out.
The girl, standing amidst the fallen officers, knelt by the unconscious team leader and retrieved a small pouch from his waist.
"This is… seems I've gotten lucky today," she said with a soft smile.
The team leader, covered in blood, managed to croak, "You… you're… Angel of the Six Demons…"
He slumped to the ground, unconscious.
