"So, Laxus, why are you here all by yourself?" Akira asked with a hint of curiosity. Since Laxus still had that touch of childishness, Akira was genuinely interested in why he isolated himself.
In the future, Laxus looked down on everyone due to the big gap in strength between him and others. But right now, Laxus wasn't any stronger than Macao, so Akira didn't think arrogance was the reason.
Hearing Akira's question, Laxus looked away. " they are too noisy," he replied, though his real thoughts were different.

Another reason was that he didn't really want to hang around with the older guys. In short, he was missing someone closer to his age to hang out with.
" Well, then why don't we two have spar at the training ground? I've been needing a sparring partner to test my new magic spells, " Akira suggested as he looked at Laxus with a smile.
Since Laxus wanted a friend Akira decided to give him just that. And in Fairy Tail friendship is built on the battlefield.
"Oh " Laxus was interested but as a tsundere, he immediately retorted, " Go away I don't deal with weaklings "
A tick mark appeared on Akira's forehead. Although he heard Laxus's actual thoughts and knew that he didn't mean to say those words. But at this moment Akira decided to let his reason take a step back.
With his ever-present gentle smile still present Akira grabbed Laxus's hand in a flash and threw him straight towards the training ground through the guild wall that was destroyed upon impact.
The rowdy guild hall descended into silence as no one expected Akira to throw away Laxus like that. In a normal guild, this would undoubtedly be a very serious crime but in Fairy Tail.
" fight fight fight " many began to cheer as they raised their beer mugs. Guildmates fighting each other is the norm.
" everyone place your bets " Makarov Laxus's cheap grandfather even took the lead as he opened the gambling table.

If it was earlier he might also be a bit worried about these kids. But after that talk with Akira, he was completely relaxed.
As Laxus' grandfather Makarov knew how prideful his grandson could get. Although he looked fine Makarov noted that he would always try to distance himself from others.
At first, Makarov thought this was just him not wanting to get along with some grown-ups. However, after some careful investigation, Makarov found that Laxus is beginning to have a superiority complex.

Slowly his expression turned dark as he quickly realised his situation. A look of anger appeared on Laxus's face as he looked at the boy who just jumped out of the guild building.
" You " Laxus' eyes turned cold as he looked at Akira. No one has ever done something like that to him. Especially when he was just minding his own business.
Seeing Laxus's look Akira chuckled as he said, "Now now Laxus don't get fired up just yet. Didn't you say that you don't deal with weaklings? Since that is the case shouldn't I teach you how to differentiate between weak and strong "
"And what better way is there than beating the shit out of you " Akira's words fell as he disappeared and appeared behind Laxus. Akira tried to kick Laxus but this time Laxus was prepared.
Laxus ducked and gave a kick of his own towards Akira's feet trying to make him fall. Too bad Akira jumped and did a backflip.
Laxus didn't get discouraged as he began to deliver another punch towards Akira. This time Akira didn't dodge as he also gave a punch of his own. Their punches made contact and both of them felt extreme pain.
' As I thought blocking a punch with another punch is not practical in real life ' Akira thought as had to shake his wrist to relieve the pain.
Laxus wasn't fearing much better but like a man, he endured it. He didn't want to appear weak after taking one hit.
"You know you should first wipe away your tears if you want to keep face " Akira couldn't help but comment as he looked at Laxus who was trying to act nonchalant despite the fact there were some tears in his eyes.
"Alright I'm done playing with you, " Laxus said as lightning began to dance around him. He felt very embarrassed after hearing Akira's words. So he decided to teach this bastard how to control his mouth.
" Hehe I could say the same to you " Akira chuckled as he also released his magic. " Take Over Rimuru Tempest" Akira chanted as he transformed into Rimuru.
" Take this Thunder fist " Laxus shouted as he gave a punch towards Akira with his fists coated with lightning.
Akira turned into a slime and dodged the attack before transforming back again and shouting, "Light arrow "
Numerous arrows made from light particles appeared near Akira. Then with his signal, they all went straight towards Laxus.
Laxus who was stunned seeing Akira using light magic hurriedly dodged the light arrows. After narrowly dodging many arrows he asked the question that was on the minds of all the guild members.
" when the hell did you learn Light Magic "
