Chapter 189: The Day of Grand Magic Games

Chapter 189: The Day of Grand Magic Games

~Silva K. POV~

[June 30, X791]

Time sure flies fast when I train for the grind. Especially curb stomping the demons have great satisfaction.

Never let the enemy have the chance to fight back. In doing so I managed to learn how to use my own Curse Power.

Not to a great degree but decently enough when fighting off the demons Zeref made. Especially one made to combat immortals.

And grinding out has proved to be very beneficial. I must return to the same movements I have in my Replica body in my real body.

The list of new skills certainly proved my time has been well spent.

Skill List.

----

<Memento Mori> (Active) Lv. MAX

MP Cost: Varies

Description: The user produces a dark paralytic mist around the target that envelopes them, creating a massive beam of dark spirits that reaches towards the sky. Known as the ultimate Curse and the "memory of death", this Curse was created to destroy the immortal beings, as the victims of this Curse are no longer alive nor are they dead, but are simply erased, becoming nothing for eternity. To some degree, it appears that Devil Slayers can resist the effects of this Curse.

<Curse Power> (Active) Lv.25/100 Exp: 0.0%

MP Cost: Varies

Description: Curses are accordingly run off Curse Power, which in and of itself is the manifestation of powerful, negative human emotions, that can be accumulated into Cursed Energy that allows Curse users to employ Curses.

Like Magic Power, Curse users can store their Curse Power within their bodies and employ it to cast various techniques. The amount of power they can have is limited, overuse of their power will render them drained of strength and stamina should they exhaust most of their Curse Power.

<Curse Pressure> (Active) Lv.25/100 Exp: 0.0%

MP Cost: Varies

Description: Curse users can also exert their Curse Power in the form of an aura enveloping their bodies. Having high levels of Curse Power causes the highest levels of pressure. A notable usage of this is used to release a strong burst of power to push back opponents. The color of their aura varies between users.

<Curse Senses> (Active) Lv.25/100 Exp: 0.0%

MP Cost: Varies

Description: It's possible for certain individuals who are skilled in sensory can detect one's Cursed Power or Pressure.

<Enhancement > (Active) Lv.25/100 Exp: 0.0%

MP Cost: Varies

Description: Enhancement allows the user to, as the name suggests, enhance the body of the target in ways they see fit.

<Bomb Curse> (Active) Lv.25/100 Exp: 0.0%

MP Cost: Varies

Description: Bomb Curse lies completely in the use of explosions, which can be triggered remotely or upon direct contact, and are usually on a very grand scale. The user can also create bombs, which can be done by either trapping people in explosive spheres or by creating an intricate seal on the ground, which acts as a motion-sensing explosive. Also, as per their ability to turn whatever they desire into a bomb, the user's own body is not excluded from this, and by sacrificing their own life, they can create an explosion.

<Macro > (Active) Lv.25/100 Exp: 0.0%

MP Cost: Varies

Description: Macro allows the user to take total control of something, which is defined as giving an "order." Whether they are dead, alive, or an inanimate object is irrelevant; though it has been noted that corpses do not function as well as living bodies.

<Macro > can also serve the purpose of forcing one to reveal secrets that they would otherwise not willingly share, and once something has come under the user's control once, they can remotely resume control of them at any time. This Curse can also be used to drastically empower the user in a process they refer to as breaking [their] limit.

<Necromancer > (Active) Lv.25/100 Exp: 0.0%

MP Cost: Varies

Description: Utilizing this form of Curse, the user can revive a deceased person which can behave like a normal living human being under their control. The user is able to revive several hundreds of corpses at a time. However, this Curse's drawback is that corpses under the user's control may stay reanimated for a limited amount of time unless one possesses a drive, and upon the user's defeat, corpses under their control stop functioning.

Yup.

Sitting across the destroyed remains of the Dark Guild of Demons after the days have passed taking care of them.

Thanks to them I managed to raise my levels and took their Cursed Power as my own. Got to love the Ben 10 series for stupidly overpowered devices I could imagine straight out of my childhood.

Thanks to these EXP farms I managed to power level up by 10. Shame I had to end such a convenient method but can't let them harm others.

That and their vast collection of Curse Power will certainly be handy in future hands. And their Jewels stocks as well…

Hehehe…

I won't have to be worried about being poor for a long while now. Thank God for demons being greedy fuckers.

Status.

Have to say though grinding up those daily requests for stats certainly made things a lot easier for me to save my bonus stats.

Frankly, I don't mind using them up on some lady luck about now. Or I could use it to bolster my INT stats boosting my MP recovery.

Decisions, decisions.

Regardless everyone should be done with their training and Ultear finishes up unlocking their Second Origins.

Also...

Holding in my hands is the official manual method of creating Devil Slayers. The one Silver Fullbuster made during my time reviving him from the dead and to give to his son once I and him slaughtered some demons.

Sigh…

Such a shame such a great mage like him died in his time. But I did make a small promise to give this to his son to use <Ice Devil Slayer Magic>. That's the very least I can do along with his final mementos to him in the dairy in my hand.

I read through how much he wishes to do things with his son. And many regrets and wishes for him to one day acknowledge him instead of asking for forgiveness.

For now, though I should hurry along back to the gang. Me grinding for the past 3 months and sending in my Jewels paying rent I was told to participate with Fairy Tail Team A.

I wonder how powerful everyone has gotten. Also, I wonder if there will be someone to fill in as Raven Tail is long gone.

At the very least everything will be a hell of a lot more exciting. With my business done here, it was time to rejoin with the others.

/////

The capital city of the Kingdom of Fiore. Crocus, the city of blooming flower. It plays host to the annual wizard festival, the Grand Magic Games.

The town is filled with wizards and tourists from all of Fiore. At its center is the castle of the king, the palace of flowers and light, Mercurius.

And on a hill to the west, the stadium for the Grand Magic Games, Domus Frau. And at the center of town…

*Slump*

Was Lucy, Gray, Natsu, and Happy, on the ground standing with Erza as they are muttering in pain. Guess they got their second origin unlocked.

Soon enough the other members of Fairy Tail arrived and we greeted them. Wendy was sitting out of this because I kind of took her place.

Makes sense since Wendy originally didn't want to fight. I'm glad she doesn't have to but I'm highly excited for the matches ahead.

In the grand magic games, each guild forms a team of 5 wizards, and all teams compete. Once we got back from our training camp, Master chose the 5 for the competition.

Natsu. Gray. Erza. I was pretty much expecting that. Adding me to the team alone was already thought of but Lucy was surprised.

But she was unfortunately the only one to pick since the others hadn't arrived yet. And since Wendy didn't want to and Carla glared at Lucy, she was left with little choice but to join but hey at least they have me.

After that we had the location of the hotel at Honey Bone, I went off on my own walking around and enjoying the view.

Witnessing the beauty of flowers someone called out to me recognizing the voice belonging to Juvia as I turned around, "Knight-sama!"

My eyes slightly widen in surprise seeing Juvia in a new dress talking to me in a happy tone, "It isn't just Juvia. Everyone in the guild has come to cheer our team on. Also, would you like to accompany me to eat lunch together?"

Smiling at this I gladly accepted feeling a bit hungry myself and to catch up replying to her, "Sure thing. It has been a while since we met after all. I want us to catch up on what we missed right?"

Her face flushed as I accepted her hand to enjoy the moment. She's certainly a lot more cheerful now compared to the past.

Walking down the streets of Crocus I asked how she was doing after training for the Grand Magic Games, "So then Juvia how are you when finally finished your training camp? I bet you trained very hard to catch right?"

She continuously nodded her head her eyes sparkling as she replied in a determined tone, "Juvia is happy you ask! Juvia prepared her all to catch up to you as did the others in our team."

Catching her wording I innocently replied as I sensed Lyon stalking us continuing our conversation in peace, "Our team? Then are you also in the little bet the Master put against us if one of us loses?"

Her face froze before she started drooling a bit laughing lightly as I shook my head. Patting her head at this naughty girl I also spoke up to her, "In that case who do you plan to order around the whole day when you or I win?"

Juvia seemed to have lost her mind in her thoughts before –

*Poof*

Her head exploded with steam fainted from probably fantasizing about some naughty things. I shook my head at Juvia's antics as I saw Laxus nearby holding the knocked-out girl he sighed, "I swear that chick can't hold out more than a few minutes fantasying about her kinks. I guess you know everything?"

I nodded as he held onto Juvia passing her to Laxus with him responding expressing a challenging smirk on his face, "Good. Then I better take her to our inn. But be warned strongest Mage in Fiore you'll lose your privilege of being the strongest soon enough. We had more than enough time to prepare for you specifically."

My eyes sharpened into a stern expressing a trickster-like grin having my eyes down and responding in a serious tone, "Then I hope you all can give me a challenge. I surely love surprises after all, but I'll be the one to remain standing Laxus-chan."

He snorted at his name calling turning away. Guess I have some competition soon enough.

What fun! I do love a challenge.

[Ding!]

[Quest is generated!]
