Chapter 5: Shula's Reveal

We, Naila, Arlie, and I decided to go to a café to think about how to combat Dune. Shula saw and started to eavesdrop on us by sitting behind her sister.

"Since we know Dune never fights alone, I say we create a diversion, and I'll be it," Naila said.

"That won't work idiot," Shula said from behind her.

"HUH?! IDIOT?! WHO JUST CALLED ME AN IDIOT?!" Naila was triggered by that comment.

Shula got up with a drink in her hand, turned around and poured it all over Naila.

I like this girl! Arlie thought.

"AH!" Naila stood there looking at the ground and tried to process what just happened. She finally looked up, but when she did, her skin went pale. "SHU...LA!!" She was shocked to see her sister in front of her.

Shula? You mean... that's... Shula? Woah! Was she actually alive? That's crazy!! AND SHE'S GORGEOUS! Arlie thought.

"If you go as a decoy, Dune will just do what he did to me, to you, you dumbass."

Shula walked up to Naila and grabbed the back of her head.

"Naila... do you remember me? You presumed me dead. Remember? Without even looking for me. Did you really not care that I was still alive? Did you? Hey... HEY! LOOK AT ME! STARE INTO MY EYES! LOOK AT YOUR DAMN DEAD SISTER, NAILA. TAKE A GOOD LOOK. I'M ALIVE AND KICKING NO THANKS TO YOU! DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR YOU? NO... IT'S NOT FOR A HAPPY DAMN REUNION EITHER. IT'S TO TELL YOU... that... I... absolutely hate you."

Naila stared at her sister in utter shock. "You... you... were alive! THANK GOD!" She said as she hugged Shula in tears.

"DON'T TOUCH ME! DID YOU NOT HEAR ME?!" Shula yelled as she slapped Naila.

Naila took it and looked back at Shula.

"Shula... I don't care what you do to me, I deserve it. Kill me if it makes you feel better, I don't even deserve to be called your sister. I honestly thought you died, and didn't bother to search. I just took what I heard without evidence and ran away. I'm sorry."

Shula got infuriated. "You're... sorry?!?!" She was the angriest I've ever seen her. "HUH?!?! FOR WHAT? FOR ME ALMOST DYING?! FOR ALL THE SCARS? FOR LEAVING ME IN THE ALLEYWAY? OR ARE YOU SORRY FOR NOT LOOKING FOR ME? SORRY'S NOT GONNA CUT IT! LOOK AT MY NECK! DO YOU SEE THIS HUGE SCAR?! I LOOK LIKE A MONSTER NOW, AND ALL YOU COULD SAY IS SORRY? FOR REAL?!" She screamed.

"Oh, wait... if I could do whatever I want... then maybe... I really should kill you." As Shula said this, she grinned, only, I recognized this grin. It was the twisted grin she'd make when she didn't care how badly she'd hurt someone. A no holds barred kind of grin.

"He-hey, Shula! Let's go for a walk for old times sake!" I interfered. I grabbed Shula and she instantly let go of Naila.

Hm?! No way... you're kidding me... right? She... she can't possibly?! Arlie thought as she stared at Shula.

As Shula and I were leaving she looked back at Arlie and smiled. Heh!

She... does? Arlie sat at the table with her fist clenched. What do I do? What can I do?! She hates her sister but likes my boyfriend... what's worse is that they were best friends. She knows a side of him that I don't, well actually, she probably knows a few sides of him that I don't.

Naila stood there soaked in soda, muttering "I'm sorry," over and over while crying.

Arlie looked at Naila and got up. "Hey... Naila. Let's go to my house and get you changed. Come on." She said as she put her arm around her.
