Extra's Rebirth

Sorin had transmigrated into a cultivation novel that was all too familiar for him — as an extra no less. In a world that rejects the weak, Sorin had the worst talent to exist. With the goal of wanting to survive in a world that was against him, he will surely be the one that reaches the ending of the story, even if he had to destroy the world. Chapter 11: Dominating the Arena!

Arriving back to the main building, Sorin saw the familiar man behind the counter.

"Oh? You are already back?" The man scrutinised Sorin. It had only been 20 minutes so the fight should still be underway, but Sorin was currently here and unscathed, making him believe that he hadn't even fought. He simply sighed. People with high aspirations just don't know their limits. He thought the boy had immediately forfeited in fright when he faced his opponent.

Sorin indifferently replied.

"Yes. I've defeated my opponent. With the rules of the arena, I want to consecutively keep battling."

"... What?" The man mumbled.

Not forfeit, but actually win?

He's met many disciples that have challenged opponents way out of their league, but usually, they would either forfeit or be sent to seek medical attention.

Yet this person was saying he beat someone nearly 100 ranks higher than him?

He couldn't believe it. Moreover, this disciple was only halfway until the first level. Everyone in the arena were disciples that have at least cultivated for a month so they were at the first level of Outer Assimilation, getting a good rise in strength.

Sorin simply showed his astral crystal that showed his rank in the arena:

Outer disciple, Sorin Modred. Astral tokens, 1. Soaring Arena rank, 917,799.

He was previously at 917,892 which was the very last place.

Seeing the undeniable proof, the man was in disbelief. He... actually won!

Quickly composing himself, the man spoke.

"I- I see! Then you can instantly select another disciple to challenge. As you are consecutively fighting, you will take priority so you don't have to wait for long."

Sorin nodded as he went to the giant stone. This time, someone who was 100 ranks higher than him can be given a forceful challenge. Sorin nonchalantly picked him.

After doing so, he went back to the arena. However, instead of waiting in the seats he was waiting at the centre of the arena for his opponent to arrive.

Caaz had long left but most of the audience were still there.

Seeing Sorin once again, they were in disbelief!

He was fighting another person?

After around 20 minutes of waiting, another man stepped onto the arena. He was burly and looked like a bear.

The crowd exclaimed.

"That's Banis! He's actually going to fight another person 100 ranks higher than him!"

"Crazy! But this time, I'm not sure of the outcome. Strength innate talents are simply too powerful in the early stages of a Spirit Master!"

Seeing his opponent, Banis sneered. Seeing how his opponent wasn't equipped with any weapons or armour, he felt like this person was just pushing his luck. Moreover, he discovered how his opponent was 100 ranks lower than him. This will be easy!

As he prepared his attack, Sorin had already moved first!

Before Banis could even react, Sorin had already appeared in front of him as he sent out a punch at his face.

Bang!

"AHH —!" The burly man yelled out, flying through the air as he felt teeth fragments fly out of his mouth.

As he landed back on the ground, he felt all his strength leave his body. His head was ringing and his vision was blurry.

Once again, Sorin had beaten another person with one punch!

The entire audience sucked in their breaths. Sorin sent such a massive person flying with one punch yet he was not even at the first level of Outer Assimilation!

... Monster!

Sorin walked up to the man as he pulled his body up with one hand and searched his robes. He was completely helpless and at his mercy, but he could do nothing against Sorin's strength!

Soon, Sorin found it and grabbed his medallion. After swapping ranks with him and tossing the medallion back, he left the arena once again.

The audience was simply too stupefied to speak.

After a few minutes, Banis recovered a bit of his clarity as he left the arena dejectedly. He had been completely suppressed and humiliated by someone 100 ranks lower than him!

However, he wouldn't dare to seek trouble as he simply did not have the background or ability!

The onlookers felt that today had been extremely memorable. A fight between a core disciple and an inner disciple, and now a young genius quickly rising through the ranks!

They thought that it would end with this second battle, but when Sorin had arrived back to the centre of the arena a few minutes later, their eyes nearly buldged out.

After waiting, as expected, another person 100 ranks higher was being challenged.

Although they felt that beating someone 100 ranks higher would be extremely hard, deep down, they all felt that the results would be the same.

To the audience's unsurprise, Sorin had beaten another opponent with one move!

The same cycle kept repeating until it was Sorin's seventh match.

Due to Sorin monopolising the arena, more outer disciples began showing up to watch this spectacular seen.

They would see a disciple acting confident before being completely destroyed in seconds over and over.

Once Sorin had beaten his tenth opponent with little to no effort, they expected him to stop as having a winstreak of 10 meant you were simply too strong for your rank so the academy would force you to battle someone similar to your power.

The academy had already thought of such a situation happening and it wasn't uncommon. Sometimes, people would come out of seclusion and see a vast rise in strength due to increasing their realm or rank. Thus, they made it so if you have a win streak of 10, you can have a greater challenge.

With this, you can challenge someone 1000 ranks higher!

However, since Sorin was consecutively fighting people 100 ranks higher than him, he would be granted a 10,000 rank challenge!

For outer disciples, such challenges were too rare! Only inner and core disciples would have this happening as most outer disciples had strengths that were similar.

...

After completing his tenth battle, Sorin arrived back to the main building.

The man behind the counter was much more polite.

"Haha, I'm guessing you won again! If you want to keep fighting, as you have a win streak of 10, you'd normally be able to challenge someone 1000 ranks higher, however, with your strength, a 10,000 rank challenge would be more suitable."

"I see. Thanks." Sorin spoke before walking to the giant stone and searching.

After quickly picking someone 10,000 ranks higher than him, Sorin walked back to the centre of the arena.

Seeing Sorin, the audience now wasn't so surprised.

They just want to see when this monster would stop his reign!

It didn't take long before another disciple arrived on the arena. But seeing this person, all the audience were shocked. This person had made a name for himself a few months ago. Like Sorin, he had also consecutively battled, but it was only around 20 to 40 jumps in ranks each.

He stopped once he had a win streak of 10 and challenged someone 300 ranks higher than him. He had also won the fight, so most people who frequent the arena would know his name.

But this very person is going to fight Sorin.

A 10,000 rank difference!

Seeing Sorin in front of him, Nero spoke with a smile. "Hoh? There are quite a lot of spectators right now. It seems there is a new rising star here. I've learnt that you are 10,000 ranks below me. To be given such a privilege, you must be quite capable."

Sorin gazed at the boy that had just arrived on the arena. He had long black hair and a fox like face. With a sword holstered to his waist, he looked liked a vicious snake.

Sorin replied casually, his demeanour not the slightest bit anxious due to the difference in ranks.

"Haha, it is nothing much. There are over 900 thousand disciples that participate in the arena. If I couldn't even beat the wastes, how could I possibly pursue the true path?"

Hearing his words, Nero frowned. He wasn't so stupid as to not comprehend the blatant insult from Sorin. For him to be challenged by Sorin, he was also calling him a waste...
