The Village And The Girl In The House

Thud! Thud!

A young boy was pacing at the speed which was equivalent to train in modern times, ignoring or breaking any obstacles in between. Finally, after crossing the line of the forest, he found the dark Tsunami which seemed to be chasing him have come to halt, and retreated.

The air went in and out with fast pace, giving Samael adequate amount of oxygen required for his body, as his eyes were wide open, two drops of sweat trickled down his neck, giving him the reality slap which he needed.

"What was that? That thing gave me horrifying amount of fear, System! can you do any sort of scan on it?"

Samael spoke in his mind, but even his inner voice seemed to be faltering, querying system. In fact, he was a war experienced veteran and had fair share amount of jungle adventures but this new world was too strange, and he was still quite much relying on his instinct.

[System Scanning.....10...9..8.. failed!]

[Due to the energy being too far away, for mean time, system can not gather data about strange dark Tsunami]

"Sigh!", A voice escaped from his mouth. He expected this sort of outcome, the darkness was weird and seemed to be swallowing the forest and thing of this level was not in his grasp yet for now. His eyes moved around, forcefully restraining his nervousness while he walked towards the village with cautious and light taps.

"That boy will die, I feel!", "Haha, People die on this side of barren and strange territory, what do you expect?" "I say, you give me my plate back!"

Before Samael, Big three ways lead to the village, filled with simple white stones, which he could not recognise due to not sufficient memory absorption, but guessing from the appearance, they were ordinary stones which could be found beside village easily. The western looking villas and some huts pictured the classes of people living in it.

From his memory, he felt as if he had arrived in Rye of England, if not for certain type of soul purple light illuminating on the top of every hut or houses. He stood there, observing things before he took any step further, noticing the big hats and large clothes on most of the villagers, but some exceptions could be seen.

Breath! He took a deep breath and entered in the village with loose shoulders and casual rate of walking. In his mind, instead of being discovered, this was a better option to be casual, the more you tried, the worse you will make it.

"Hey kid! Where did you go today? And why you seem to be in a bad state?" A big man attracted his attention, with a loud voice. A shudder ran through Samael's casual posture, but then he composed himself and replied back "I had gone for hunt!"

The big man heard it, and sat there for some time but suddenly let out a big laugh, "What? Whom are you fooling, boy? You and hunting, I am afraid by looking at your skeleton, even the beasts would pity you." Everyone around him began laughing, amused by boasting of Samael, while he stood there with stupid gaze, but calculating mind.

"Forget it, I am going to sleep, I am too tired to talk." Samael made the decision, and walked with shaking his head, as if he was really embarrassed by their teasings. "You might be meeting some new calfs ayyy, well, don't worry, if she does not agree, just tell her that you are related to me, I have got many spirit horses, the girl will throw herself in your arms" The big man slammed his table laughing with flushed red face and excited demeanour, blending in entertaining banters with others.

On the other side, Samael walked to a small house before him, and knocked on it. He did remember that he was not living alone in his house, perhaps with parents or somebody.

Creak!

With the sound of old door, it opened, and a girl with pleasant face in white shawl and lantern greeted him. "I was getting worried, did you bring something for us to eat?" The girl asked in casual voice, giving the impression of normal routine. For a moment, Samael was confused whether this was his sister or anybody related to him, but he quickly shook this possibility, this young woman who looked to be somewhere 18 or 19, had blonde hair, and very different in appearance from himself.

"I kinda did, I got some meat for us, a rabbit, big enough to fill our stomach, will that suffice?" Samael spoke in caring manner, and closed the door. The interior of house looked cozy, it was warm, with lanterns lit, a small bed, fire crackling in a big bowl providing heat to prevent nightly coldness, and some utensils.

"It's alright, we can manage today, I did borrow some porridge for us so we can eat enough to not starve, but we will work one extra hour and demand some food from stable master." The young girl spoke in bitter tone , shaking her head. She saw him with tattered clothes, and not so usual exciting smile when he said that, and understood that he was lying.

Samael also understood and wanted to slap himself for sheer stupidity, because he did not carry the rabbit, where he was going to take it out from? air, well kind of yes. "Well, I put it outside, give me a second to carry it in, I was tired so I put it on doorstep." He said , opening the door, and retrieving the rabbit from the system space.

The young girl's eyes narrowed first, then suddenly widened, her shawl falling on the floor due to unexpected appearance of rabbit- spirit- beast. "Wh..ddid you get it?" she floundered while taking a step back. "Halt! I got it when it was dead!" Looking at the panicked girl before him, he spoke in stern tone and put it beside cooking pot. Due to such reaction and sudden interruption from Samael, the girl did not ask question in fear of angering him."Don't worry, I found it on the edge of the forest, but waited for a long time fearing if any beast was around, after waiting for 4 hours, no beast was attracted, so I put in my arms and ran away towards the village, that's why I got so late ."Thinking he might have spoke with rude manner, he spoke in gentle tone."Sorry for questioning, I was worried for a moment", the girl felt guilty for her previous reaction and apologised. "It's alright, I appreciate your care." Samael gave her a gentle look. The girl breathed a sigh of relief, and began cooking the food while Samael rested on the bed.

He began thinking once again, while also taking some looks at the girl before him, her face was no doubt looked above average, she looked young and pretty. But question was, what was the relationship between previous himself and this girl?

After some time of adjusting, when he was going to inquire some questions to system and ask about the wolves stored in his system space and how he should utilise them, another amount of memory was poured in his head.

"Lilith, Wife, Married 3 months ago before parents passed away?>>"

The air blew outside the window, while Samael sat on the small bed with wide eyes, looking at happy Lilith who was cooking with humming.
