Chapter 13 - Sad revelation and Noise at Dawn

Zed pov's on

-OPEN THIS SYNDRA DOOR!

I woke up scared during the night because of that scream, just hearing Syndra's name I had already despaired. I got up and ran away, as soon as I got to the door, I threw it open.

It was at this exact moment that my face dropped to the ground.

I saw Riven in her underwear trying to open Syndra's bedroom door.

She screamed things like. "I'M GOING TO BREAK YOUR FACE WHEN YOU GET OUT OF THERE" "BAUGHTER" "SON OF A BITCH". Well, I was actually seeing a legitimate Noxian in front of me.

She would put her feet on the door, pull the handle as hard as she could, pound her fists on the door, and scream. A little more and she would rip the door off.

I couldn't contain my laughter at that.

And so the noisy Noxiana noticed me.

She closed her eyes and stared at me. Until he screamed.

-GET HER OUT OF THERE NOW! -She glared at me as she pointed to the door. -Wait, do you have a face? She softened her expression as she started to look at me curiously.

And then I had realized that I was wearing no mask and just a pair of sweatpants. My feet were starting to notice the sudden temperature difference and soon I started to feel small twinges in the soles of my feet.

Riven stared at me as Yasuo came running down the halls with the remnants of his armor and Riven's clothes under his hands. When he approached us, I crossed my arms and just stared at him with a mocking face.

-Looks like the night was fine, doesn't it, Yasuo? -I laughed and leaned against one of the walls.

-YASUO! ZED IS WITHOUT MASK!- She looked at him with a smile on her face, but never let go of the doorknob.

-I saw Riven. Now stop screaming, please. I'm getting a headache!- Yasuo said leaning against the wall and recovering after the run.

-SYNDRA! -Riven screamed again.

He dropped his clothes to the floor and placed a hand on his forehead.

-She'll make me deaf. -He said softly.

-SHUT UP RIVEN! - Syndra screamed in the midst of their laughter.

-I STILL WANT TO DRESS YOU SYNDRA! GET OUT OF THERE!- She was pulling the door again.

-What a beautiful pair you got Yasuo! They are so different that it's scary! -I said smiling at him.

-Well, we are not a couple, nor a pair, nor lovers. Just friends at the moment. -He told me smiling.

I leaned against his side as Riven made his fiasco.

-I would like to know how you met her, because this story seems to be very interesting! -I spoke while looking at her.

-For starters, she was passed out in front of my house. Which happens to be well hidden." He stared at me.

-It's already started well! -I laughed.

He smiled and looked at me calmly.

-I missed you Zed... So many things happened in the meantime that you disappeared. I got kind of lost without you. -He said in a sincere tone of voice.

-I missed you too, old friend. But it's life. These are things that happen.

-I wanted to better understand what took you away. -He said with a weak smile.

What a strange time to have a serious and nostalgic conversation. But Yasuo's cheeks gave away her state, so it was better not to interrupt her moment of fond memories.

- Remember those fights on our street? They were amazing! -I broached the subject again, since it's been a while since we talked about this kind of thing. I smiled as I remembered our childhood. -Do you remember how Irelia used to run after Yone? Ever since she was little she loved her brother! -I laughed.

-She was always kind of crazy about Yone! I never understood why it all. But the best fights were between Akali and Shen! They always loved each other and never came out! -We laughed together. - And the two of us always on the side.

-Truth! There's no way to forget these things! But tell me, how are they? Akali and Shen, Irelia and Yone. Did they finally get together?

Yasuo's face suddenly turned sad.

-Did I say something wrong Yasuo? -I looked at him worried.

-They were together yes. Irelia and Yone got married, as did Akali and Shen, who had been keeping a secret affair for at least a year before you left. -He gave an embarrassed smile. – That's almost ten years, Zed. And Yone... He passed away nearly three years ago.

My smile faded, and a sharp pang hit my heart full on.

Yone was dead?

-Like? - They were the only words I managed to utter.

-In the great Chemical War of Ionia. He fought bravely; but ended up perishing along with other great warriors. -Yasuo said with regret in his voice.

-Sorry for asking that, I didn't... I didn't expect this could have happened. - I said dumbfounded, without reaction.

-Okay, you had no way of knowing. -Yasuo spoke in a consoling tone.

-Sorry. - I babbled while some images of Yone circulated through my head.

I missed you, old friend. And unfortunately, I couldn't go back sooner to say goodbye.

-We can talk about it another time, I need to put her to sleep now. He chuckled sheepishly as he looked at Riven, who had his forehead plastered to Syndra's bedroom door.

-Okay, we'll talk better tomorrow. And well, I'll be here for a few days so we can catch up on all the conversations. -I spoke as I pulled away from the wall.

-It's ok. Good night Zed. – He said as he gathered his clothes and headed towards Riven.

-Good night and good luck. – I laughed, almost embarrassed.

-Let's go to bed Riven, you're already tired, and probably Syn has already gone to sleep. – He said as he hugged her.

-I want to kill her Yasuo... - She said in a sly tone while banging her forehead on the door.

-Come, let's sleep. – Yasuo picked it up and put it on his shoulder and walked towards the other rooms.

-Do you know where the other rooms are? -He said in a low and already distant voice

- In the fucking house. Let me go. – She said while making a face like an angry child.

As they were walking away, Syndra opened her bedroom door as she wiped the tears from her face. Probably crying with laughter.

-She's already gone? – She said with a huge smile on her face.

I crossed my arms again and smiled at seeing her like that.

-What did you do? -I looked at her with a dirty smile.

-They were about to have sex in my backyard, Zed! I couldn't let that happen. - She gave a smirk just like mine as she placed her hand under her chest.

-How ugly Syndra! Fuck is sacred! - I smiled at her and blinked.

"Like I care about that, Zed." She made a disgusted face.

-Would you like someone one day to interfere with our fuck? -I spoke as I closed my eyes and stared at her.

-Don't say such a thing! -She was extremely embarrassed and blushed violently. - I do not care! Now, good night! -She walked quickly to her room with her hands over her face.

When she closed the bedroom door, I screamed.

-YOU LOOK BEAUTIFUL IN A SHIRT AND LOOSE HAIR!- I closed my bedroom door and went inside.

-I HATE YOU ZED! -She yelled back.

-SYNDRAAAAAAA! Riven yelled from across the castle.

I walked slowly to the bedroom window, leaned against the sill, and stared at the big, bright moon that was in the sky. I sighed heavily, the news of Yone's death having been a stab to my heart. I never imagined that something like this could have happened to him, especially in Ionia's chemical warfare.

Silently, I bit my lip and let a few tears run down my face. The light night breeze was chilly, thus leaving my face refreshed.

I couldn't say goodbye to you, friend.

I couldn't explain why I dropped everything.

Forgive me Yone.

Tonight, I saw the painful effect of being away from the people I loved so much.

Zed pov's off Yasuo povs on.

I had Riven on my shoulders as I walked through the castle in search of the room we were in. Riven spent the entire way fidgeting and complaining about what Syndra had done.

After a while, she had stopped fidgeting, so she said something to me in a serious, defeated tone.

-Yasuo, let go of me. Please. -She asked to be calm. Perhaps the effect of the drink had dissipated a little.

-Aren't you going to run screaming around? -I replied seriously to her.

-No. But I'm still mad. -She said as she let out a heavy sigh.

-I didn't need to do all that, we could continue elsewhere. -I put her on the floor and started to untie my scarf from her hands. Which I had to do to get her to stop pinching me.

-I was dying of shame, and of anger too. I know Syndra did this to tease me, since I always do that to her, but I don't know... It didn't have to be then. She scratched the back of her neck as she stared at the floor. -It was bad for the fiasco.

-No problem. But... don't do that anymore, it's kind of boring. - I spoke while delivering your clothes.

She gave a weak little smile.

-Want to get dressed? -I looked at her as I adjusted my armor and my scarf in my hands.

-It is not necessary. Everyone has seen me that way. So no problem. -She said as she walked back.

-How far to get to our rooms? I asked her as we continued on our way.

-A little further on. Not much to go.

-Why are the rooms so far from each other? -I asked.

-The monks didn't want to sleep near her room, so they were farther away. And the guest room across from hers belonged to her master. That was basically why. -There they are.

We turned left at the end of a corridor, and there were many doors there. Really, that place was huge.

We walked in silence until we reached the front of the rooms.

-You can stay in this one. - She said.

-Thanks. – I opened the door and went inside.

When I went to close the door, Riven said something.

-Well... Can I sleep with you?-She said fearfully.

I stared at her suspiciously.

-I do not want to do anything. I just don't want to sleep alone in a giant room. Also, every time I come here, I sleep with Syn. And I don't think she's going to let me in there, at least for today.

-All right. -I said, with a sincere smile on my face.

She nodded and we entered the room.

She placed her dress on the back of a chair beside the bed.

He sat up in bed and said still awkwardly.

-Good night. -She turned her back to me and snuggled into her pillow.

I think I was a little too hard on her that night.

I dropped my scarf and armor under the same chair where she had placed her dress. I straightened my armor and took off my pants as I couldn't sleep comfortably in my pants on a bed.

I climbed into bed and straightened up.

I looked up at the ceiling for a bit and steeled myself.

I walked over to her and looped my arm around her waist, thus bringing our bodies together.

I sighed close to his ear and said.

-Good night my little one.

-I'm not short. -She mumbled.

I cracked a smile at that.

I laid my face down on the big, fluffy pillow so I closed my eyes.

I really liked her, and every moment I spent by her side, this feeling intensified, which made me fall more and more in love with her.

Despite the nonsense she said and made up from time to time, I felt obligated to stay by her side, and I would do anything to stay there.
