As the group of flame wisps approached halfway, several wind-type techniques clashed with them, trying to blow them off course.

The Yuan Family Ancestor, following closely behind, activated his Iron Fist technique and prepared to join the assault.

Shangguan Yi had been prepared since the Tang Family Ancestor took action. As the Ancestor was about to reach him, Shangguan Yi, who had finished activating his Polar Star Flame, stepped back, creating a thousand-foot distance.

As Shangguan Yi retreated to create a thousand-foot distance, Tang Family Ancestor was momentarily stunned. "What? He's faster than my Swift Gale Step?" he muttered in disbelief. 

Despite the unexpected turn of events, he did not hesitate and continued his charge forward.

While Tie Tu's Earth Wall was crumbling under the assault of the flame wisps, it still bought him some time to create a second and third wall. 

Meanwhile, Xie Xie's Metal Shield Formation Technique was also completed, creating a metal barrier around the Cultivators. 

With the Cultivators now in a safer position, they didn't forget to support Tie Tu in dealing with the group of flame wisps.

The Tang Family Ancestor unleashed a Gale Slash, a powerful wind attack aimed directly at Shangguan Yi. The winds howled as the slash cut through the air. However, Shangguan Yi's **One Blink** flared with even greater intensity. His eyes blinked several times, releasing a swarm of flame wisps to meet the gale. Within seconds, the gale was absorbed and dissipated by the searing heat of the flames, melting away almost instantly.

The flame wisps didn't stop there; they surged toward the Tang Family Ancestor.

Tang Family Ancestor had been prepared. He activated the Wind Shield Technique, creating a protective barrier of swirling wind that formed a vortex around him. It was a last-ditch effort to guard against Shangguan Yi's fiery onslaught of flame wisps.

But Shangguan Yi had already accomplished his goal. The moment Tang Family Ancestor stopped, he became an easy target for Shangguan Yi. His fate was sealed.

Unfazed, Shangguan Yi performed his One Blink Technique. In an instant, he blinked his eyes several times, disregarding the cost of core essence. Multiple groups of flame wisps surged toward Tang Family Ancestor. The overwhelming heat from the One Blink Technique rendered Tang Family Ancestor's wind shield nearly useless. The flames scorched the wind barrier, reducing it to nothing more than a fleeting gust.

Tang Family Ancestor tried to counterattack against the flames with all his might. He couldn't spare a second to activate other techniques and could only focus on strengthening his wind barrier.

But Shangguan Yi's technique was relentless. With his increased cultivation and denser core essence, the flames flared with renewed intensity, melting the wind barrier away before it could even fully form.

With a final, decisive move, Shangguan Yi unleashed a concentrated burst of One Blink. The flames surged forward, overwhelming Tang Family Ancestor's remaining defenses. The intense heat was unbearable, and Tang Family Ancestor had no choice but to yield.

"Argh! This!" Tang Family Ancestor cried out as he used his core essence to protect his body and tried to extinguish the flames at the same time.

But his efforts were in vain; the flames only grew more intense, engulfing him further.

Seizing the opportunity while Tang Family Ancestor struggled with the flames, Shangguan Yi used his Everlasting Firmament Flame technique to refine him on the spot.
