["RUN!! Don't stop!!! If you want to live, then run with all your might!"]
"I know!" On the concrete floor of the school, Haru sprinted with Aki bound to his back, a mixture of vigilance and slight panic etched across his face. It wasn't just him; even Mimi's voice, sounded a bit worried.
"GROWL!!!"
As he sprinted around a corner of the school's building, Haru spotted several zombies ahead.
"Shit! We don't have time for this!" Despite the presence of multiple zombies, including a few High-Level Crawlers, Haru wasn't concerned about the immediate threat in front of him. His worry stemmed from an entirely different issue.
However, as Haru prepared to engage the group of zombies with his slightly blackened sword, Mimi's voice echoed in his ears.
["Dodge to the right!!! QUICKLY!!!"]
"!!" Haru's eyes widened in shock, but he didn't utter a word. He quickly snapped to attention, stunned by the sensation of something rapidly approaching from behind. Without hesitation, he quickly kicked the ground and rolled to the side, narrowly evading whatever was approaching.
Swoosh!
As he rolled to the right, a fiery-ball of light, radiating heat, shot forward and struck the group of zombies that tried to attack Haru.
BOOM!
A thunderous explosion ensued, more powerful than a grenade, creating a small column of fire that consumed and obliterated all the zombies within Haru's sight.
"F***" Just looking at the destructive power behind that move, Haru knew that if he was hit by it directly, he would immediately die on the spot despite his enhanced stats.
"SCREECHHHH!!!"
"Shit... it caught up to us." Haru stood up and cautiously stared at the enemy that forced him to abandon the terrace and run away in retreat.
Everything was going fine until a really terrifying enemy showed up.

Few minutes ago.
"Sigh... Despite being high-level Zombies, they did not drop any loot." Haru muttered as he rested after dispatching two crawlers that somehow managed to climb onto the terrace.
["What? Did you think that those Cards grow up on plants? You should consider yourself lucky for getting a Sorcerer's Stone!"] Mimi chimed in right after he said that.
"I know... But I just wanted a new sword since this one is losing its sharpness." Haru said as he remembered the bluntness of the sword he felt when he dispatched their necks. The only reason he was still efficiently able to kill was solely because of his strength and precise speed.
["Whose fault was it to light it on fire, stupid? Just be honest, you wanted to be cool in front of Aki, right? Right!?"]
"Shut up... I had no other choice considering fire was that monster's weakness," he replied as he tried to check his Status, and just as he willed it, his Golden status window popped up in front of his eyes.

His stats had increased significantly after defeating the Zombies in the classroom and the two Crawlers on the terrace. Although his Prana was almost half-full, he was aware that he couldn't use the spell due to the persistent headache.
While checking his status, his gaze landed on the EXP section, and he remarked, "Only 2001? Despite killing so many Zombies and two high-level Crawlers, I still haven't leveled up?"
["Oh, about that, the reason your level-up is a bit slow is because of your EX class, which requires twice the EXP to level up compared to others,"] she explained.
"... Is it truly an EX-Class? Didn't you claim it to be the best?" Haru asked.
["WHAT?! Are you doubting me now!? Just so you know, unlike you, others don't get random increase in stats values after each kill, okay? They can only enhance with the Stats points!"]

["OP, right!? Don't ever lump the class I gave you with those low-tier systems! Also, you are only getting half the EXP you earn since the other half is going to Aki."]
"To Aki? Why?"
["Stupid, why are you asking such a silly question? You both are Husbando and Waifu! Obviously, you will share everything equally with each other!"]
"Doesn't that mean?"
["Yes! Once Aki wakes up and fights together with you, you will also earn half of her EXP! Aren't I amazing for giving you this OP Class!?"]
"Yeah... maybe you are." Haru genuinely nodded as he realized how powerful the two of them would be despite having to earn twice as much EXP as others to level up.
["What-? I didn't think you would agree. Stupid, you are making me bash--"]
Sensing an abrupt pause before she complete her sentence, Haru asked, "What's wrong this time? Are there Crawlers again?"
["No... How is that even possible?"] Mimi questioned in disbelief.
"What are you saying all of a sudden?" Haru asked.
["This is way too early!! It hasn't even been a day!!"] She shouted in slight panic.
"!!!" Detecting an unusual tone in her voice, Haru swiftly stood on high alert, unsheathing his sword.
["Haru!!! JUMP!!! Get away from here!!!!"] Mimi quickly shouted.
"!!!" Haru was shocked. This was the first time ever since they came in contact with each other that he had sensed a bit of panic within Mimi. So much so that she called out to him by his name and even asked him to jump away from the terrace, despite her seemingly fear of heights.
Haru didn't know what was happening, but sensing the little panic and alertness within her voice, he knew what he had to do immediately. Without giving a second thought to ponder, he quickly climbed the edge of the terrace and jumped as she asked him to.
'What is going on--?!' He thought in doubt as he leaped into the air, but the second after he did, a loud noise erupted from behind.
Boom!
A loud noise of something exploding was heard, and before he could comprehend what was happening behind him, he saw something flying past him at a very high speed as he was about to fall due to gravity.
"Was that the door!?" Haru shouted as he found a large broken piece of the door, which he had strongly locked with his chain, went past him.
'Damn it!! Focus!!!' Haru was stunned and shocked by what had occurred on the terrace, but he didn't have time to dwell on it since he was falling down. Despite the headache, he needed to use his spell again to slow his fall.
"Black Chain!!" Haru quickly cast the chain and coiled it around the two windows he found while falling.
Just as Haru was about two floors away from the ground, he once again tried to control the chain to reduce his descent. However, something unexpected occurred.
"Ahhh!!" Haru suddenly shouted in pain. Even as he slowed his body's momentum with the controlled chain, the persisting headache intensified suddenly, breaking his mental connection with the chain. This led to him losing his grip on the chain, resulting in a fall to the ground without any support.
"Shit!!" Seeing the ground just right in front of him, Haru wanted to roll his body in the air before hitting the ground to lessen the impact, but he knew it might hurt Aki, who was bound to his back.
So, instead of rolling, he strengthened his legs and bent them a little to endure the impact from the fall.

Haru landed, feeling a slight pain in his legs. Fortunately, no bones were broken due to his high Defense Stat, but he experienced a slight decrease in HP. As he got up and worriedly checked on Aki, Mimi urgently warned him again.
["What are you waiting for!? JUST RUN AWAY!!!"]
Haru wanted to check up on Aki quickly, but left with no other choice, he began sprinting, heeding Mimi's warning.
He was confused about what he was running away from, but his doubts were shattered when a window suddenly popped up in front of him while running.
