Fire Emblem Part 14 Nils & Ninian Dragon Supper Part 1

Elsewhere-

.

A few spies were held in Badon, one of the Houses in the Lycian League. The spies were those of Hector's that got pinched. The oddest thing is that those spies hadn't even started and were just passing through to enjoy a much-needed break.

"Tell the Marquess thanks for his help in identifying such a threat." A General of the Badon house stated. "I apologize on behalf of my Lord for the assumption your people were involved. The Scryer has been released at once."

"Thank you, I will make sure everything goes well to make sure relations remain strong in the Lycian league." Gathering himself and moving to get to the actual released spy, the man grinned happily at getting one of their people free. 'Such a nice chance to get that fool out of prison! If not for the young Astolfo's intel the chance would have been missed!'

Ostia nobility had slowly been exploited by Hector's spy network, the chance to get back at the group was something that could not be passed up.

Just shy of two weeks later-

.

Every one of Hector's forces in "Phase One" was moving with urgency. Every bandit they came across was killed brutally and transferred to obtain bounties. So much so that some Nobility were forced to sign small deeds of land and pay in resources besides gold.

Not a single new long job was taken and new mercenaries were sent to bolster others in play for free.

The biggest thing each of the bolstering forces was told to do, however, was to gather information while heading to allies. Check the populace's concerns. Every bit of it and to stock up on vulnerarys, elixirs, antitoxins, and weapons.

Hector dropped down with Karel on his left and Dart on his right from the sky. The Pegasus Riders pulled back to provide support as needed from above.

Raven, Priscilla, and Lucius dropped a few feet behind Hector's group.

Priscilla stood up like an awkward duckling not being on her horse. She had a ways to go to build herself up. The PT regiment she was given was doing its work, so all was not bad. She was just going to have to learn to move like a Cleric.

Seeing the aerial drop-in, Lyndis and her group were on edge already. After leaving Araphen by fighting their way out from the sicko Marquis, and killing the Assassins sent by her great uncle, it was not a good time to be alone or deal with more enemies.

Also hearing of mercenaries moving throughout Lycian subjugating bandits, a few of the Houses were getting antsy. A few started looking into who was making moves like this. Which in turn caused them to start taking notice of Eturia's silent moves, Bern's political unrest and most importantly the Black Fang change up.

"Hector," Eliwood called out to his former close friend. Why he did not return to Pherae yet was nothing important really for now to know. "what brings you to these parts?"

Priscilla and Lucius moved out to go and check on the Riders who moved with Lyndis's group. Especially since they were on a bit of a time clock.

"Here to kill people of the Black Fang and take care of some Dragons." He spoke with such seriousness, that they were to shocked to respond against one moving against the Elite group and that against the Mythical Dragons. "There he is!"

The boy Nils ran as if the devil was chasing him. His teal hair and red eyes caught Dart by surprise as well as the speed. No way this was a helpless little boy at first glance.

Raven just felt the weirdness emitted by the half-breed and wondered what made him different.

"Please!" Nils was at the end of his rope and was hoping that the people he spotted would help him and his sister. He was in for a rude awakening as he was snatched off his feet. "Let go of me! I have to save my sister!"

*Vrrrom!* Powered up but still without a tome to wield, Hector blasted the hybrid with a focus blast of magic. The momentum made the solid blow worse as it hit him directly in the gut and flipped him free. This sent the hybrid over out cold onto the ground.

The Champion observed the overall blast of magic did no real damage. Which was quite troubling if a nest of the Halfbreeds came out to attack.

'To think it blasted him free of Hector's grip.' Karel observed silently. 'That magic is defintely stronger than before. But his movements with weapons are the only thing I care about. It is time for us to have another duel!'

Hector walked over, hand raised up glowing with magic for any approaching enemies. As it was all cleared based on the movements of the others, he made a quick strike for the next part to get the situation over with.

*Schlick!* Stabbing down right through the chest at the half-breed, he pulls at the heart and the magic inside, lifting the half-breed into the air dangling at the brink of death as far as most could see.

"Hector!" Eliwood was aghast and was about to charge at him once his wits returned. But a figure shot pass him like a blur to intervene. 'So fast!' Another moved from his other side to get involved causing him to rethink his plan. 'Wait, didn't the Sacaens employ Hector for help!?'

"Karel.." Hector said simply to the swordsman. With a simple slash, Karel blocked Hassar and flung him back away. "..kill him if he gets to be troublesome. Nothing in the contract with Madelyn to spare the fool."

"Of course." Karel was happy for a challenge, Hassar definitely brought that but in the first clash, he already knew he was better than the other. But just a small margin due to body conditions. 'I wonder if killing him will make the girl fight better?'

As Karel fought against Hassar, Lyn went after Hector but was stopped by Raven. She was more nimble but Raven outclassed her in every other way. He only fought her defensively and never stuck to injure.

Hassar had made it away to rendezvous pretty quickly from his location or something else brought the Chieftain here already.

It should have been a few hours before they would arrive to regroup.

The primitive extraction spell Hector used was most painful but it worked. In his hand was a struggling lizard to most people's eyes. The more he pulled, however, the larger the lizard became.

In less than 30 seconds it was as big as a horse and squirmed fiercely. It's ancient might something several haven't seen in centuries. Seeing it from a small screen was one thing but Hector found seeing it in person twisted his psyche a little bit.

*Crrkkk!* Ice started to form around Hector's hand then his arm. Luckily his magical resistance had grown stronger constantly. But an instinctual hatred for Dragons rose up inside the Champion due to the fear of death.

A biological response coursing from the days of the Scouring and brought forth by the bow.

Both Tiamat wanted the dragon dead but the most important was the power taken from Mulagir! A dragon and that of a halfbreed actually brought rage to the former dragon-slaying weapon.

*Woosh!* Anima magic of wind circled around Hector from their surroundings and shattered the ice completely. Under Hector's control, the wind restrained the dragon and started to carve it up. The desire to kill was extraordinary.

"Lord Hector... is choking a dragon with his bare hand!" Dart was amazed and felt something in him stir. The idea of fighting a beast like that was something he only dreamed of as a kid. "He has finally recovered from that incident!"

Dart was not the only one thinking that. Up above in the sky, the Pegasus Riders were watching everything. Something about that ice caused them to shiver before it shattered.

With a pull of the hand and magic, Hector held the boy Nils in his other hand. Looking between both halves of what used to be the same creature. The desire to kill did nothing when looking at the boy.

"He is just a child Hector!" Lyndis shouted as she tried to get by Raven. "Blast you! Move out of my way!"

The stalwart red-haired did not of course. His broadsword moved and then pushed her back as he controlled the field.

Raven spared a small glance at what Hector was doing then focused back on Lyndis. He trust Hector would not butcher a child unless he had to. And by the looks of it, he didn't have to kill the kid.

'That is good enough, hopefully, the magic will get to the point you can handle yourself.' Tiamat stared at the Ice Dragon that was ripped out of Nils, leaving him as a human in every way in the process. 'Or you can toss him into the Primordial Sea, I am sure the magic inherited from his father can help develop something.'

*Thump!* Hector toss the boy away like trash on the road. He didn't have anything promising about him that was needed and since he had a somewhat bad life and all that, he spared him for now. No reason to kill the child.

Not counting he couldn't go back through the gate to the other Dragons now. They were not that accepting in the first place.

With a parry, Karel and Raven sent the father-daughter duo away from them once more. Everything happen so fast and violently, the mentally exhausted Sacaens didn't charge back to continue.

Finally taking stock of the situation of the boy being alive barely.

The other thing was that of seeing a dragon visibly in the very flesh once they calmed down.

"We have our work cut out for us today." Hector said over his shoulder. "The Black Fang is strong, even this weak little bunch will be troublesome. You should rest while you have the chance and not get involved in this."

"What did you do to the boy?" Eliwood almost demanded an answer moving up. Rapier still gripped tightly in hand while shaking at the strangeness of the situation. 'So much power since last I saw him.. What has Hector been doing these past few weeks?'

Seeing a human strangle a dragon was weird to see. If they knew it was a young dragon one could only wonder what the looks would be.

"Taking something.. that was just wasted on him. Worried about the former dragon are we?" Hector grinned as they still had that doubtful look on their faces about the beasts. "No matter, you are not needed to deal with that problem anymore. Roland would be proud of a dragon sympathizer such as yourself."

"What do we do with the dragon?" A Pegasus Rider stared at the beast while petting her mount to calm it. "Shhh, it's ok. It won't get you. I promise."

The Pegasi in the area were quite alarmed all the same.

"We will need Dragonslaying weapons in the future... best to start making them now." Hector placed his boot on the large neck and raised the axe Wolfbeil up. "Bleed the beast out while collecting it, then take out the guts cleanly for medical use. As for the scales and teeth... it will be difficult but I can make some weaponry and armor with it."

With a powerful chop, the scales around the neck popped apart. It took over 5 more blows before the head was severed. Several were disgusted at the butchery but the smart ones were bothered by how many blows it took to separate the head.

As the conflicting forces settled down, those who could watch in rapt attention at the dismantling of the dragon. The methodical notes taken down by a few on how the dragon's body moved while getting chopped up would go a long way.

*Shine!* Magic engulfed the area as Hector took away the remains and dropped it into the Primordial Sea. It didn't take more than a few seconds before the scraps produced Dracoshields.

Something his forces needed desperately at this moment to fight so many scuffles. The number of martial forces was plentiful. Something Caelin had a lot to send out. Not to mention the mercenaries.

A Meal before battle-

.

"Lord Hector!" Priscilla called out while supper was being made for the rest of them. She stopped just shy of Hector seeing him chewing on what looked to be a giant leg of sorts. "We found something in town!"

"Mmmm yum!" Hector swallowed and gave her his attention. "Go ahead, hopefully it is good news."

"It is! They are producing Pure Water here! They were afraid of the caster finding out and hid it away! Only a little of it was sold in the shop before we arrived!" Priscilla was determined to get this information brought to his attention. She had a favor to ask him before it was to late. "This is good news right!?"

"Yes, it is." Hector gave her a smile as he gestured for someone to get him some gold. "Good work."

Seeing the Vendor shop up ahead, Hector moved towards it. A good time to buy all supplies actually he thought. It would be best to start emptying out Armour shops and Vendors for their own uses.

"Lord Hector...." Priscilla called out before he got to far away. She was suprised her brother had come over with the sack of gold to use. "..I have a favor to ask."

"Hmmm?" Both Hector and Raven thought it was odd as they turned to face her.
