Fire Emblem Chapter 11 Siege of a town Part 3 Power

Mercenaries under Hector were making their way around but rembered the orders to make sure the Bandits were dealt with. Having faith in their leader to survive. Especially long enough for the pink-haired Cleric to tend wounds.

Fear and wonderment gripped those close by.

"What do you desire?" Gripping his axe tightly, the bandit leader swung with all his might. His hips, shoulders, and footing were completely perfect. A flash of insight into the way he fought all these years culminated in this. 'This will kill the monster!'

Hector placed his hand forward taking the strike again. His skin, muscle fibers, and bones did their part stopping it at the elbow. The flesh dangled under the stuck weapon. Dark Magic light flashed in the night.

Almost snuffling out the remaining torches in the process.

"Nosferatu.." Hector put his full focus on the spell as his arm wrapped the bandit leader into a hug. "...let's get really close!" The immediate zapping of the other's life force and speeding up his healing was visible to the naked eye.

With the skill developed from the use of Staves and practicing healing on others, Hector's Dark Magic worked a little better than most.

The flesh of his split arm started to pull together and destroy the axe embedded inside. The little pieces of metal converting into iron deposits the body needed. The muscles he could still feel were used dangerously.

As Hector forced under his own will made his fingers dig into the other shoulder. Providing more contact to speed the spell up futher. Dark Magic pulsed out in a ring around the two.

"Let go of me!" Trying to shake Hector off was not working for the bandit leader. He was getting stronger and the older bandit was getting weaker. "Cut him off me, someone!" He shouted to the others who cowered away.

Even the archer who attacked from a distance was bewildered for a moment. But he had other troubles. Wallace and a few others had pushed several of the bandits this way.

*Bam!* Hector, gave the man a head butt for yelling so loudly in his ears. Hard enough to fracture a skull in the process. Going slack a little, the bandit leader had only enough time to feel pain on a whole new level.

"Rah!" Hector ripped the bandit leader in half with the boost of his magic. The body completely engulfed by Dark Magic vanished on the spot. "Guess his bounty won't be obtained."

The remaining bandits were at a loss and tried to retreat. But the way was cut off forcing them to continue fighting.

"Hmm, his skill in magic is something to be cautious of." Wallace made a sweep with his lance killing another bandit as he moved. Having seen this take place gave the old knight further caution in decision making. "A part of me is happy he left house Ostia."

"Sir Wallace, I doubt he stays away for long." Eliwood said unconvinced. He pulled back and stabbed a bandit in the chest but did not fell him. A few Sacaen Nomads to his left and right fighting. "It is just rebellion against the strictness of Ostia."

"Humph, you are a fool if you believe that." Dart passed by on the Pheraen Noble's left and threw a handaxe at the injured bandit. Almost cutting him in half. "If Hector returns to Ostia, it will not be for anything good."

"The fighting is almost over at least." Madelyn said as she trotted over. "From the looks of it, casualties are low on our side."

A few Sacaens were dead. Less than a handful compared to what could have happened. Not a single civilian was dead, however. Which was the point of the defense.

"Haaa... good stuff." Hector drank an elixer to fully heal himself after taking three arrows in the chest once more. Pulling out his composite bow, he smiled that more came out of hiding to the slaughter. "I need only your lives, not information at this time."

*Twang!* The first arrow he fired went through the skull an archer.

*Twang!* The second arrow he fired severed the brain stem going right through another.

"Wait.. don't kill me!" The last archer begged after seeing his senior members die so easily.

*Twang!* Another arrow was fired and shot dead in the chest. Piercing the heart easily due to the lack of defense up. With broken morale and angry mercenaries who were at the point of desperation, the bloodshed kicked up even higher.

.

At the Break of Dawn-

.

"Same as before?" Dart came up to Hector's side after the situation had settled enough.

"Yup, tagem and mark off as needed from the list." Hector stood there as his chest heaved up and down to regulate breathing. His body was aching in all the good ways currently. The bandits were made up for skill with sheer numbers. His mercenaries and himself benefitted from this type of fighting. "Serra report, any casualties?"

The cleric was pouting and didn't answer him immediately. She just tried her best to heal the wounds that looked raw still. Seeing the armor all beaten up did not aleve fears at all.

The fact Hector was attacked while drinking the Elixer kept it from bestowing its full properties. Which was odd to the Cleric as that should not have been the case at all.

*Rumble!* The ground shook as several cavaliers arrived. Victor, like the others, was exhausted and wounded greatly. By the looks on their faces, much was needed to discuss. An attack by an unknown enemy put them through the paces.

"Lord Hector," Victor spoke with shame in his voice but urgent all the same. "sorry we could not be here sooner!" Looking at the destruction all around, it would take a lot to get the town back to civility.

"Get off the horses and let them rest," Hector moved forward as the man unmounted before him. His hand gripping Victor under the chin and turning his head side to side. He gave a look at the others as well one by one next. Slight discoloration of black was detectable on the flesh. "Get treated then fill me in on the details, all of you."

"But sir.." A cavalier tried to protest.

"I will not repeat the order." Hector walked forward and started cataloging the bandits to speed things along. His mind racing at possible issues going on. "Serra, help them next. Get the villagers from the hidey holes to help assist in the process."

"You should rest first...." The Cleric was not liking the marks on the others after catching sight of it herself.

"The faster they are treated, the faster they can come help catalog. Which means the faster we can all take a break."' Hector forced her to look him directly in the eyes when she didn't look up while following behind him. "Surely you don't think to leave them be with poison like that?"

"Grr.. fine!" Serra couldn't argue that, it wouldn't be wise of her to do so. Stomping her feet to quash frustration. "But when this is over, you are taking a break! You can't lead if you are dead!"

The pink-haired cleric continued her grumbling as she stomped off to tend to the cavaliers. Her yelling could be heard the entire way as she got onto them about getting poisoned and injured at the worse possible time.

Even shouting that they took to long caused everyone here to fight all night almost. As Hector worked away, he checked himself over internally. The Primordial Sea's waters were shifting about and Tiamat was restless.

The piece of the Deity moved her hands about guiding the water with intense focus. But something inside Hector's Soul kept moving about on its own. His determination and personal desires were powerful.

Aided by him growing as a Champion, the piece of the Deity did not want to damage it at all by changing its focus.

'Little Architect... you are so troublesome.' Tiamat muttered to herself mentally. 'Such ambition to prevent a different flow of power to something he is more comfortable with further, the determination of humans at its finest I suppose.'

Communicating with Hector, she told him of what he wanted to know. Namely how the Primordial Sea could build structures due to his Carpentry and Architecture skills. His ability to Reap filled in a lot of those holes for the different gaps in knowledge. Especially from those here in structural design and that of himself from a Different Dimension.

Building a Magic Circle in this location only brought a few raised eyebrows. His response back left a lot of people frustrated. Even his own mercenaries looked perplexed at the situation.

"Is this going to work?" Asking out loud instead of just thinking it to himself by mistake. Hector stretched his magic to the limit to connect the magic circle. the bodies and the various pieces of the broken structure were piled up. Feeling an influx of magic from the converted bandits, his hopes rose higher. "Guess it will!"

Slowly the structure started to form then it sped up. The various soldiers looked on in awe as they saw their lord perform a feat of such powerful magic. The building of a Temple/Fortress was quite the sight to see.

"Lord Hector.. this is amazing." Clyde's eyes took on a fervent glow. Various magic swirled around the devout cavalier. He muttered a few words unheard to most and foreign to even himself.

*Shine!* A powerful wave of magic enveloped him as a bestowal of power outstretched around. The Knight Crest was worn like so many of the other cavaliers of Hector activated on his persons finally.

The Cavalier classed changed into a Paladin. A different cape solidified from the various magic and his armor improved in quality. The symbol of Ostia remained on the armor but the cape had a large watching eye on the back.

Looking close at the eye gave the impression it was looking back at you. Which technically Tiamat was doing.

"Clyde.. I think you will make a great temple head." Hector said wistfully. Several bits of magic could be seen gathering in the area still. "A temple of Tiamat must be defended at all cost. Do you accept this duty?"

*Crack!* Clyde's knee slapped down hard to the freshly formed stone floor. His dedication to Hector's campaign was strong. Even as he learn more and more about what needed to be done.

"I will not fail!" It was a powerful solemn vow to be honored. Those Cavaliers with him could feel a power that was close to being obtained by them as well. "We have work to do, let's get started!"

"See that you don't." Hector turned away with those who would go with him. The moment they were a good distance away, the mist rolled in obscuring the Temple from sight. "How many of these temples must be erected I wonder."

The remaining towns people looked at Hector who gestured his head for them to go inside as well. They had no homes really and it wouldn't be bad to give them someplace to stay.

While also discovering more about the new Temple/Fortress effect on people anyway. Coming to those remaining, Hector's cape had more marks on it as he felt the strength of the Attained Magic Classes more.

He would need something more if he wished to promote right now. But that would be foolish to do so when he had a lot to gain still. Wallace, Eliwood, Hassar, Lyndis, Madelyn, Kent, Sain, and the surviving Sacaens were all that were left to deal with now.

The Sacaen Nomads that aided Sain earlier were members of another tribe. The Kutolah tribe had helped their allies. A change brought out by Hector's involvement across the Dimension.
