Chapter 16: Finale

Layla's pov.

I got a text from Vanessa to come over and my heart skipped a beat.

The sexual scenes from the beach house had condos in my head.

"I understand, I have a 2 year old boy. His mother died during birth but I witnessed him being born.

My eyes watered as I realized that I judged him based on his fight with Jessica.

Since Jessica has been with us longer I took her side.

She claimed that she was cold towards her and Emerald reasoned that she tried to come on to him.

Jessica denied everything saying Emerald is sexist.

A tear rolled down my eye and Emerald hugged me.

Whispered Emerald in my ear and I pulled away laughing.

"Let's pretend you don't have a crush on Carson."

I joked and watched him pale and had lost all his composure.

"He will never notice me, and I'm sure his seeing Rebecca's secretary what's his face."

Said Emerald not hiding his envy.

I laughed hard and decided to help him out.

"I'll set a date between you and Carson. Pete is too controlling and Carson need someone kind and nurturing like you."

I said and watch Emerald's green eyes sparkle in graduate.

Than a sad smile made its way to his lips.

"What if his not into single dads?" Emerald asked nervously.

"Than it's his lost, don't let anyone make you feel unlovable for having a kid.

Being a present father is a flex."

I said and Emerald hugged me again emotionally.

"We seem to have forgotten where we are." I said giggling at how cute he was being.

"Sorry boss." Said Emerald and he blushed because collecting himself.

"I feel like comfortable with you in a way I can't explain, almost like I subconsciously knew you wouldn't judge me for being bisexual."

Said Emerald and he turned around to see a very pissed off Jessica.

Who looked at him with judgement, drawing her own conclusions based on what she saw.

Her ruin turned into a smile when I locked eyes with her.

She wasn't mad at me, she is actually jelousy of Emerald, wow plot twist.

I said goodbye to Emerald who smiled before going back to his work.

Her eyes widen as she fixed her clothes and a blush crept to her cheeks.

"H-hi Miss Meyers." She said Nervously looking down at her nails.

"We are having a girl's night, me, my girlfriend and our friends."

I said and watched the hope die from her eyes.

"You should come with me, trust me you won't regret it, I think you'll find me overrated once you see my friends."

I smiled and watched her shocked expression.

"O-okay....I'm almost done." Said Jessica as she quickly typed up things in record time.

Asked Venessa and I fought back tears that threatened to spill.

"Yes! A million times Yes!" I said crying too emotional to process that I'm engaged.

A round of applause was heard from our friends.

Everyone was all smiles except for Flora, who looked like She wanted to cry.

She found in hard to process that Vanessa chose me over her.

Not that they ever were but I saw how she always looked at my girlfriend.

I introduced everyone to Jessica and she immediately went to Flora.

One can not blame Jessica at all, Flora had an unspoken Rizz about her.

If you single and didn't love anyone she would be the first pick.

Probably why she couldn't process why this red ruby diamond ring is on my finger not hers.

Jessica was talking to her put she looked at Vanessa longly.

When Vanessa smiled at her she blushed quickly turning back to Jessica.

"I'm not even mad that you not paying attention to me."

Jessica smirked knowingly and Flora quickly apologized for her behavior.

Vanessa played music and bought out the drinks and we danced grinding on eachother.

This is the happiest I've ever been in my entire life.

I thought why life was over when Rebecca cheated on me,

I'm glad we were able to forgive eachother and be friends.

5 drinks later everyone was kissing.

My lips were on Vanessa, Feyona was drinking Karuchy, Flora was kissing Jessica.

Rebecca kissed alternated from kissing karuchy ,to kissing Jessica than she came to me and Vanessa.

She pulled Vanessa in a passionate kiss, I smirked looking a the big rock on my finger.

There was never a competition in the first place.

Vanessa had been mine from the very start and this ring cemented what I had being thinking this whole time.

I kissed Rebecca for the sake of Kissing and kissed Jessica.

Jessica trembled when Vanessa kissed her which was weird.

She wasn't like that with anyone and she looked dizzy after the kiss.

She a dreamy look and seemed to zone out with a smile on her face.

Uh the Vanessa effect. Karuchy kissed Vanessa so gently that I laughed.

It was so cute how she tried to be romantic.

"Do you Jessica Meyers take Vanessa Dove to be your wedded wife?"

Asked the preacher to which I responded,

"I do".

"You may now kiss the bride."

Said the preacher and I wasted to time gently kissing Vanessa.

It warmed my heart to share a new chapter of our lives.
