The deliberate contrast in their chosen attire could not be ignored.
One donned a seductive red dress, while the other graced the occasion in a pure white gown. Even their hairstyle was the exact opposite of each other.
"I'm delighted that you could join us," Penelope's voice dripped with feigned sweetness as she stood before Eve, a sickening smile adorning her face. She sounded as if she was the host of the event, welcoming an unwanted guest.
Eve only responded with a gracious nod. "Thank you." There is no need to create further issues tonight so she thought of giving her best smile.
Out of nowhere, a woman bowed toward Eve. "My Lady, Baroness Analissa Petrov extends an invitation for you to join her table."
A flicker of surprise danced in Eve's eyes upon hearing the Baroness's name. Before she received the detention, the Baroness invited her for another tea time. Sadly, she was not able to join her because of the detention.
