"I am perfect."
"I did not realize you vampires could look tired too..." Her pink lips curved into a sly smile as she approached. To his surprise, Eve did not sit across from him; instead, she settled onto his lap, her arms encircling his neck.
He froze.
Memories of what had occurred just hours ago flooded his mind. He blinked at her, struggling to suppress his desire for her, at least for now.
Not the time... yet.
"Vampires always look tired," he answered.
"Not you," she boldly said, once again leaving him speechless.
"How about you?" he asked, resting his hands on her waist. Soon, he started massaging it. She might be a sorceress, but that did not mean she would not exhaust her magic.
"I feel beautiful."
Max chuckled. Since the earlier wedding, Eve's demeanor around him had changed. Somehow, she seemed to have lightened up. She often teased him and brought a smile to his face.
