Chapter 2

I woke up at the training facility. I vaguely remember actually getting here. Alexandria and I talked the whole way here as we walked like normal people. I told her about most of my life. How I want to seem human, how I don't like eating in front of others, how I can't control myself when I feed too much. We enjoyed the tall trees and nice breeze as we talked. I even leaned my head against her shoulder. I'm an all-around pretty affectionate person, but for me to really love you, well, that's different.

Alexandria told me how she was going to train me one on one. She's waited a very long time to come across the legendary breed. They had a name for it in ancient times, but I completely forgot it. Apparently, they were hunted and killed a very long time ago. You can tell by their fangs; they have 8 instead of 4 canines. That makes them feed more and more until they're addicted and overcome with hunger.

They are the most powerful but also the most untamed. She says it's a miracle that only 2 sprees have happened in the 100 years I've been alive. I told her about my father, Dracula, and how he sheltered me for a very long time. She asked me where I picked up martial arts. I simply said watching videos, but it wasn't true. I don't want her to know about that just yet.

I looked around my surroundings, and I saw Alexandria in a different bed on the opposite side of the room. She was awake and reading. She seemed to be very invested. I didn't want to disturb her, but I had questions.

"Where are we?" I broke the uncomfortable silence.

She put her book down and looked up at me. "We're in the facility to train vampires. We take in unusually gifted ones, and you are no exception. The way you handle yourself is quite impressive, given how weak you are in strength." I rolled my eyes at her in a scoff.

"It's true, y'know. You aren't nearly as strong as you should be." I got up off my bed and headed towards the bathroom; the bedroom is quite large, and Alex has her own bathroom as well, so it's no biggie.

"Yeah yeah... I know I'm weak, yada yada." I scoffed once more as I opened the bathroom door.

"You just need to train your physical attributes; you've mastered fighting moves already." She smiled and picked up her book once more, continuing to read. I took that as my cue to get freshened up.

I shut the door behind me in the bathroom, locking it so she doesn't come and try to take a peek. I didn't mind John doing it, but she's someone I genuinely find attractive. It just feels different.

I took a look in the mirror after I stripped my clothes. There's a massive bruise right above my left eyebrow. It must've been when Marc headbutted me, the jerk. I should've done more than just snap his leg.

My white hair looked gorgeous, though. It definitely highlights my features even though I'm relatively small. I just sighed and hopped in the shower, enjoying the steam and hot water.

I could hear Alexandria rummaging around in the bedroom, but I didn't really mind. I just sang to myself and enjoyed the relaxation.

It took roughly an hour before I was done with my shower. I walked out with just my towel and saw Alex putting her metal armor on. It looked intricate and very beautiful, it matched her personality to a T. It's silver with rose designs, and she has a sword as well, it must be silver. I had no idea she was a swordwoman.

She took a glance at me, and I blushed immediately, getting red in the face. I looked down and stammered. "W-Where's my suit?"

She just chuckled and pointed to my bed. I quickly grabbed the suitcase and ran back into the bathroom. I couldn't believe I had just walked out there in only my towel. I'm so stupid, oh my gosh.

I quickly got the suit onto my thighs, and like yesterday, it adjusted to the rest of my body. Hiding the important bits I would rather Alex not see right now.

I came out, and she was fully dressed and ready to go. "We'll have our own training area, and that'll be where we go for the next 10 years or so. You won't be able to leave until you get that hunger of yours under control. I hope that's alright."

It's absolutely not alright, but I don't think I have much of a choice. She's way stronger than me and could probably kill me in the blink of an eye. I sighed and just followed her when she motioned me to.

The walk is nice, the breeze is actually warm today, and the sun is shining. I can hear all the trees dancing with the wind; it definitely calms my nerves. I can hear the soft clanking of her armor, it's also soothing.

I do realize how hungry I am though; I try to keep it in check. Since there were no blood bags in the fridge, I'm assuming she expects me to drink from her whenever she feels it's right. As long as it helps me control my hunger, I don't really mind. In fact, I appreciate the lengths she's going to.

We stopped in a sandy clearing. It's a massive circle with just us two in the middle. "I'm assuming this is-" I was cut off by a hit to my face with the hilt of her sword.

"Ah- fuck!" I grit my teeth and watch my blood splatter onto the sand. That really hurt.

She just chuckled. "When you're talking, you're not very situationally aware, are you? Don't speak unless spoken to here. If you follow that simple rule, no more nosebleeds, okay?" I just nodded in response; my nose was aching, and I was just holding it to hide my fangs, which were tingling with anger.

"Take your fighting position, please. Training begins in 30 seconds." She took her stance; it looked like a sword stance mixed with a martial arts stance. I smiled and took my stance, holding my breath and hyper-focusing on her body. I needed to study her if I had any chance of winning.

"Begin!" She yelled, and before I knew it, she appeared right beh

ind me with a smirk.

Damn it, this is gonna hurt.
