The Orphan's Destiny

Old Jian was suprised by the sudden sound of wailing. He was just coming back from mission when he flew over the forest and suddenly hear strange sounds. At first he thought that some vengeful ghost had somehow manage to walk its way here from the nearby village but upon closer inspection he noticed that the wailing sounded much more squicky than the sound of a ghost.

After following the strange sound for a few steps Old Jian came upon a truly pityful sight. A small child, barely even a newborn, laying a lone in the cold damp grass. At such a sight even the normally cold Old Jian could not help but feel endless pity.

For a few seconds he tried finding the parents but that only lead to further sorrow. After short contemplation he decided to bring the child to the nearest city and leav it to someone there but as soon as he touched the child he noticed something special.

By some sheer mircale the child actually seemed to have spiritul roots. At first Old Jian was quite perplexed. Normally a sprit root would only really show itself once the child reached eight years of age. For some rare geniuses they might even reval themselves at the age of seven or even six but this child seemd to only be a few months old.

Suddenly a wave of extreme happiness seemed to overcome Old Jian if his speculation were tru, this small child could potentially be a heaven sent opportunity for him and his sect. If this discovery followed conventional stantards this small child should be a prodigy never before seen on the Yuandian Continent.

After his stunning discovery Old Jian made haste to arrive at his Sect as early as possible. HE was overcome with feelings of euphoria and for the whole long journey he could do nothing but keep on smiling. He keept on thinking about not only the future of the child but his as well. The amount of contribution his Sectwill give him undoubtably will sumrount to alot.

...

After a whole week of constant flying Old Jian finally arrived at his sect. When flying through the main gate of the heavenly Scriptures Sect one could see the thousands of years of history with their own eyes. Ancient and mystical buildings where strown about the large asortment of mountains. But in now did they look run down. Even after centuries and even millenia the buildings still looked as majestic as they did when they were first built. Old Jian flew by many pavilions and courtyards on his journey thorugh the sect he flew straight past the outer sect and when he had just arrived at the entrance to the inner sect, he was suddenly stopped.

"Identify yourself!" A rather unfriendly voice suddenly rushed into Old Jians ears. He came to an abrupt halt as folling the shout, two burly men with long spears in their Hands stood in front of Elder Jian. "get out of my way!" He quickly answered as he threw the Token fromerly hanging on his waistband at the guards nad then proceeded on his journey.

One of the guards wanted to instinctivly follow him at first but he was quickly stopped by the other guard who shakingly show him the token that was just rudely thrown at them. Suddenly the second guard started to sweat when he saw the Token.

As inner disciples, even if their strength was comparativly low and they could only guard the gates they were still used to being shown some respect. But when they saw the token all their arrogance seemd to suddenly disappear. On the token was written the word "Elder" and by the purple colour they could see what rank he was at.

Disciples such as them would normally never get to meet a higher up like him so of course they couldn't recognize him but the token made it very clear, the person they had just stopped was a core elder of the sect, someone who could kill them simply with a thought.

But to Elder Jian these small fry were of know concern because today his mood could not be soured by anything. He quickly arrived at the Hall of Heaven and Earth where only the Sect Master and Core Elders were allowed to enter to discuss the most important business of the sect. When Elder Jian arrived the hall was already filled with seven people.

A charming but powerfull voice broke the silence in the hall. "Jian Hengliang whats has made you call for a meeting so urgently?" The domeenering voice even made the powerfull Elder Jian shiver slightly. "I have brought a boy -" He was just about to continue explaining when he was interupted by another person sitting in the hall.

"So you called all of here just to show us some little Kid?! Are you here to repent for some affair you have had or what?" The one who interrupted Elder Jian laughed hysterically. He was called Elder Yinsheng and he was the core elder behind the Mystic Yin Peak. As one can imagine by the name they cultivated mainly Yin attribute cultivation techniques and as such they were normally somewhat hysterical.

He and Elder Jian have been at odds for uncountable years. As the core elder in charge of the Blazing Sovereign Peak whose memebers mainly cultivated yang attribute techniques they were the perfect opposite to each other and as for that reason slight jabs such as this one were common place in their meetings.

"Let him continue." The domeneering voice interrupted again. As Elder Jian continued. "As i was trying to say i found this small child in a forest not far from where i exterminated the ghost monarch and what i found. You will have to see for yourself." Elder Jian proceeded to hold his hand above the smal child and a tiny sliver of a red mist seemed to protrude from his index finger.

Under the watchfull eyes of the core elders the red mist entered the body of the small child and the elders could see the mist being absobed by the child and with their high cultivation they could see the mist naturally spreading and flowing throughout the childs body as if it had been there from the childs birth.
