"Why are you dazing? She isn't yours yet. You have to remove her slave mark and make her yours," Master Reiner said and Xu An snapped to reality.

"How are we going to do that?" Xu An asked.

Morgiana then approached Xu An and out of the blue, she sat on his lap! Xu An got caught off guard. He could smell the scent of a woman and a flowery fragrance.

"What are you doing?"

"Change of owner, what else?" Morgiana replied as she undressed and showed her snowy back but on the middle of her smooth surface, there lies the Slave Mark.

The Slave Mark looked like complicated patterns with symbols of ancient texts around it. It looked like a tattoo that only masters could draw.

"Draw your blood out of your finger and touch the mark," Morgiana guided him and Xu An nodded.

He bit his thumb and touched her smooth and soft skin.

At first, the Slave Mark was black but then, it lit up as it let out a red glow.

The glow illuminated Xu An's face as he was captivated by this magical process.

"Next, draw your Fate Constitution."

Xu An frowned, "What's that? I never heard it and let alone drawing it, I never even saw it."

"Feel the presence deep inside your body. After you feel it, move your finger and let the unknown force guide you," Morgiana patiently said.

Xu An hesitated for a second before closing his eyes. In his dark field of vision, he saw something glow dimly but in pitch darkness. It was no different than the brightest stars.

This is my Fate Constitution? Xu An thought to himself and felt the urge to draw this.

Although his Fate Constitution looks complicated and quite profound for him to draw.

A mysterious force suddenly took over as he moved his finger as he was guided by it. He realized the force was from his instinct and subconscious.

Shortly thereafter, a few minutes later to be exact, Xu An opened his eyes as he saw a brand new Slave Mark.

A portion of it was from his Fate Constitution.

"Our Fate Constitution combined and it seemed to match perfectly," Morgiana said as she smiled satisfyingly.

"That means?" Xu An pondered.

"It means that we will never be separated and fate will always let us meet again even if we are. Though, this is only a rumor so I'm not sure if it's true." Morgiana put on her clothes with a smile.

Xu An digested the information seriously but when he heard it was only a rumor. He was somewhat disappointed.

"Speaking of which, can I release you from being my slave, Morgiana?"

Morgiana turned her head to him, seemingly surprised while Master Reiner narrowed his eyes.

"Although planting a Slave Mark on a slave is easy, it's rather hard to get rid of it. This is because recklessly removing it will cause heavy damage to the soul and body." Master Reiner replied.

Xu An's expression was calm as he kind of expected this but he did not give up finding the answer as he asked, "But that does not mean it cannot be removed, right?"

Hesitated, Master Reiner answered, "correct, there are many ways but the way I know is to make contact with an otherworldly tribe and ask for their help. They are masters in magic."

"Wouldn't they attack us upon contact?" Morgiana asked.

"Some otherworldly tribes are friendly but they are hard to find and could only be discovered in the Dark Continent. I recommend forgetting this, the Dark Continent is vast and has no limit, full of dangers. If you want to enter, I strongly oppose it.

"Although I'm not her master anymore. It's only right for me to worry about her safety," he said firmly without hesitation.

Morgiana could not accept that he did not allow her to enter the Dark Continent. She felt restrained and had no freedom despite being no longer his slave but when she heard his last words, she was touched and ashamed of herself.

'Father…' Morgiana softly muttered as she faintly smiled. It felt pleasant to have someone who cared about you.

"Okay, I understand," Xu An said as he temporarily let the matter be. He would be lying if he did not want to save Morgiana.

After that, Morgiana got up from his lap and went back to her seat.

"However, I want to know. Morgiana, do you want to be free?" Xu An suddenly asked and Morgiana was stunned as she lost words to reply, his question caught her off guard.

The first thing that appeared in her mind was, 'yes, I want to be free!' but after some considerations, she felt that was unlikely.

"I…" Morgiana was about to answer but then, Xu An interrupted.

"I don't want excuses or your opinions. I want to know your honest answer," Xu An said solemnly.

Morgiana hesitated for a few seconds as she shifted her line of sight to Master Reiner.

The latter slightly nodded and Morgiana retracted her gaze to Xu An as she clenched her fist and responded in firm resolution "I want to be free."

Xu An had his solemn expression for a few seconds before it changed to a bright smile, "Is that so, then welcome to my guild!"

"Huh?" Morgiana abruptly let out an interjection as she was confused, question marks above her head.

"Ah, I forgot to tell you. After my problem with Chin Sha is resolved, I'm planning to go to the Dark Continent and become an explorer," Xu An explained.

"Kid, are you taking my words lightly? Did I not tell you she cannot enter it?" Master Reiner asked with a slow and threatening voice.

"I understand but what's wrong with that? You're probably afraid she couldn't protect herself but don't worry, Master Reiner.

"She will be fine. She's stronger than you think," Xu An calmly said with a smile.

Before Master Reiner could say a word, Morgiana was one step ahead.

"Xu An, I appreciate your thoughts but I'm sorry. Even though I want to be free and all of that, I still have other things I must take care of," Morgiana spoke, a bit reluctant yet firm.

Xu An looked at Morgiana with a frown, "so you're not coming?"

Morgiana shook her head as she could not look at his eyes, "sorry."

"Then I'll come back again tomorrow. I need someone to guide me in the Dark Continent after all." Xu An walked to the door but before leaving the room, he gave a bow to Master Reiner.

"Guide in the Dark Continent? Does that mean he wanted me to be a Directors? I don't even know Dark Continent quite well…" Morgiana frowned as she was bewildered.

Directors was a term for someone who guided their guild traveling in the Dark Continent. They were akin to navigators of the seas.

Does he get the wrong person? Morgiana added in her mind as she frowned.

Standing before the door as he closed it, Xu An was in his mind and the book opened as pages after pages flipped before stopping.

It showed Morgiana's complete biography and her abilities. There was also a picture of her on the top right.

I thought it's just my feelings but it turns out to be right, Xu An could not hide his happiness as his lips curved.

After he succeeded in transferring ownership, he suddenly caught a glimpse of the book and saw Morgiana's abilities, among which were called, [Light in the Dark.]

Xu An did not know why the book recorded Morgiana's abilities and her origins but Xu An was pleased.

He speculated this was one of the abilities the book had and Xu An believed this book had that more than one.

Anyway, the ability Morgiana had, the description was as follow:

When traveling in the Dark Continent, you are sensitive to Arcane Energy.

Arcane Energy was the most needed energy for humans to live in the Dark Continent and it could be found in the ley lines beneath the ground.

Arcane Energy was similar to water and food. It was a must for humans in that continent.

This will make things easy, Xu An said as he smiled inwardly but then he wiped out hIs smile as another thing came into mind.

The problem now is how I should make her realize the ability, Xu An pinched his chin.

As he was deep in contemplation, the door behind him opened and Morgiana asked, "what are you doing?"

Xu An snapped as he moved to the side and turned his body to her, "nothing, I'm just thinking how lucky I am to be able to see your beautiful face every morning."

"Hmph, cheeky. This is not you at all," Morgiana said as he smiled.

Xu An shook his head, "everyone would have their imagination run and change their personality when they have a beautiful woman on their side."
