Biggest Secret

Next morning as Estella planned she woke up at 4:00 am

even though her school starts at 8:00 am sharp. First she

did housework. While doing it she was feeling really

sleepy so she had a cup of instant coffee. She completed

the housework without disturbing her mother. After that

while getting ready for school she prepared the breakfast

for herself and her mother. She was about to wake up

her mother but before she would do, her mother came in

the kitchen herself. Estella asked her mother,

"How you woke up?"

Her mother replied,

"Haven't you seen the time? It's 7:30."

Estella said,

"Oh! I didn't notice. Well, I was about to come to you,

because breakfast is ready."

Her mother said,

"Thanks honey."

Estella smiled. After breakfast Estella went to her room,

looked at the mirror, sighted and said to herself with

watery eyes,

"I hope it end soon."

Estella went towards her bed and sat on it to wear her

shoes. When she picked up her mobile she noticed the

same page on her side table. She picked it up and was

about to open it but suddenly she heard her mother

talking to someone, so she put the paper in her pocket,

hung her bag on her shoulder and went out to see who

her mom was talking to. Her mother was talking to Olivia.

Estella asked Olivia,

"What are you doing here?"

Olivia replied,

"To pick you up. Let's go or else we'll be late."

Estella nodded, kissed her mother and said to Olivia,

"Let's go."

They both left waving her hand to Estella's mother.

Olivia drives to college in a car that her father gifted

her a few months ago. After settling inside the car

Estella said to Olivia,

"You didn't had to do it."

Olivia said,

"Girl, I am going to pick you every day for school. And at

dispersal timing I'll drop you to your parlor."

Estella was about to complain her about this but before

she say something Olivia hold her hand and said,

"At least let me do this for you."

Estella hugged Olivia with watery eyes.

Whole day Estella was quite tired. In the recess Estella

was sitting with Olivia having some snacks. Estella asked

Olivia,

"I am going to buy water bottle, do you need

something?"

Olivia said,

"No."

When Estella took out the money from her pocket to pay

for water bottle. The paper fell from her pocket which

she kept before coming to school. She took the bottle

and picked up the paper. She went back to her seat and

unfolded the paper. Olivia asked Estella,

"What is this?"

Estella replied,

"I don't know, I found it on my side table."

Olivia again asked,

"What it says?"

Estella replied,

"I haven't read it till now."

Olivia said,

"Oh."

Estella started reading it. She recognized the writing, it

was written by her mother. It said,

'Estella, I am writing this letter to tell you something,

which I tried to tell you a lot of time, but I can't.

Actually...you are not our only child. You have 3

elder brothers.

Noah, he is the eldest. Then Oliver the middle one

and at last Luca. He is the youngest one. When you

were too young they came to me and your dad and

shared their dream of being singers. They wanted to

make a band together. I and your dad didn't agree

so they left the house leaving a goodbye letter. After

few months I and your dad tried to contact them until

we got to know that they have introduced

themselves as friends not brothers. Even they

described themselves as orphans. It hurt me and

your dad so badly. I am not telling this to you, so you

hate your brothers, I am telling this to you because,

now it was being really hard for me to hide this from

you. I was trying to tell you this before your father's

death, but I used to stop by thinking that if I told you

this, you would hate your brothers.'

Estella's eyes were filled with tears. Olivia asked her

noticing her tears,

"Estella, what's written in it? Huh?"

Estella didn't replied. She was totally lost. Olivia shook

Estella and again asked her,

"Estella, what happened?"

Estella looked at Olivia with eyes filled with tears and

handed her the paper. Olivia read the letter written on

the paper. She was really shocked. Olivia said to Estella

shockingly,

"How is that possible? That means...…members of JBI

are your...brothers. Actually…they are brothers.

What is going on?"

Olivia held Estella's hand and took her at the college's

gate. Olivia asked the guard to let them go its

emergency, but guard refuses. Their English teacher saw

them at main gate so she came to them and asked,

"What's going on here ladies?"

Olivia replied,

"Thank God, you are here. Ma'am we really have to go.

Estella's mother is very ill and she needs her now."

Their teacher asked the guard to let them go and asked

Estella to take care of her mother. Before they left

ma'am said,

"Girls, you are forgetting your bags."

Olivia said,

"Thank you ma'am for reminding us."

Olivia ran towards the class and brought Estella's and her

bag. Estella and Olivia thanked their teacher. Olivia again

held Estella's hand and they straight went to Estella's

house. Olivia rang the bell. Estella's mother opened the

door and surprisingly asked the girls,

"Aren't you should be at college? What are you doing

here?"

Estella said with watery eyes showing her mom that

letter,

"Mom, what is this?"

Her mother went silent for few seconds and then said,

"Finally you read it. First come in honey, I'll tell you."

They all sat on sofa and Estella's mother again spoke with

tears,

"This is all true honey. The band JUST BEAT IT, the one

you admire, is the band of your own brothers. The only

reason I didn't tell you this earlier was that, I don't want

you to hate your brothers. All my life, the only thing I

wished for was spend some memorable time with my all

4 kids. But..."

Estella asked with watery eyes,

"Mom...… do you really wish that"

Her mother said,

"They haven't contact us. They even don't know that

their father is no more. When they left, you hardly ate

something for a week because you were so attached to

them especially with Luca. I don't know whether this

would be possible or not. I even don't know whether

they remembered us or...…"

Her mother burst into tears while saying this. Estella

went silent for few minutes, whipped her tears, took a

deep breath and said,

"Mom. If this is what you want, no matter how...but I

promise I'll try my best to know whether they love you or

not. I'll bring them back, and I promise that I will fulfil

your wish."

Olivia asked,

"How even in the world will you do this? Especially when

you live in different cities?"

Estella replied,

"I'll somehow figure it out."

Olivia said,

"But you live in different cities."

Estella said,

"We'll shift to San Diego."

Olivia said,

"And you think it is that easy."

Estella said,

"No, but I'll try my best."

Estella's mom said,

"Honey we can't leave our city. You study here, today is

going to be first day of your job and your friends are

here. You cannot leave them."

Estella said holding her mom's hands,

"Mom. We won't be leaving our city for too long. I just

want to fulfil your wish. And we are not leaving in a rush.

We will wait until I save money to buy tickets and after

college. Soon final exams are coming. Then I'll graduate.

We will leave after my graduation. It may take some

time."

Estella's mother said,

"Honey, what if they don't love us anymore."

Estella said,

"Mom. It won't happen. They must love us from deep of

their hearts."

Estella hugged her mother.

Olivia said noticing the wall clock,

"Come on Estella it's time to go to parlor. You will be late

for the first day of your work."

Estella said to her mom,

"Mom I'll be home at evening. Don't forget to have

lunch."

Her mother nodded. Estella gave her goodbye kiss and

they both left. On the way Olivia said to Estella,

"Girl. Your life is actually filled with twists. My best

wishes are always with you."

Estella said,

"Thanks."

Today was Estella's first day of work. She was quite

nervous. Olivia dropped her at the parlor. For few

seconds Estella stared at the board of the parlor, sight

and went in.

The lady on the reception, Sophia welcomed her and

said,

"Hey Estella. I was waiting for you. You look nervous."

Estella said,

"Yeah. Actually it's my first time."

Before starting the day Estella had lunch. Before lunch

she texted her mom whether she had her lunch or not.

After lunch her very first client came. She was really

impressed by her work and her voice too. Estella had

taken permission from Evelyn to record the videos for

her Instagram id. She also used to take permission from

her clients if they are comfortable with that. After work

Estella went home. She was super tired. She went home

and had her dinner with her mom. Her mother asked her

in a low voice,

"Honey, did you meant what you said earlier?"

Estella replied,

"Yes mom. I'll try my best to make your wish come true."

Her mother showed her an album which she never saw

before. Estella's old memories rushed back in her mind,

watching those pictures with her brothers. Her eyes were

filled with tears.

Her mother asked her,

"Don't you want to meet them? Call them brothers. You

always wished to have elder brother, without knowing

that you have three."

She nodded and replied,

"I want to meet them...… Every time I see someone

with caring, elder brother I wish to have a brother like

them."
