My nerves were eating into me as we stepped into the house.
Nostalgia was a bitch....wait...no. It's karma. Karma's the bitch, not nostalgia.
The sound of two dogs barking greeted me as soon as Eros opened my door. Nothing had changed except that the house had been repainted. Our dogs weren't friendly. Not at all. They were simply for security. Two wild black Rottweilers.
"Aduke mi o! My baby!" My mom screamed, barging out of the house in a baby blue maxidress and a black turban tied around her head.
"Mommy!" I cried, my anxiety forgotten as I jumped into her arms. She began to sing in my ear, hugging me tighter.
"Ah! You've lost so much weight! I must feed you now that you have come ho-" she stopped her rambling and I knew she had seen Eros. She pulled back and I noticed grey hairs peeking out of her turban.
"Carry the boxes inside na!?Are you blind?!?Oponu! Ode![Fool! Idiot!]" She snapped and I shut my eyes, pinching my nose.
