chapter 4 : Guild

A slipper hit my head while I'm enjoying the view. "The hell who did that" I shouted then I look at my back.

Laria  is standing with her eyes half closed and her hair is messy." Hey who are you ?,and what time is it ? I'm  late for work".

I look at her then I put my right hand on my forehead. I sigh " she is still half asleep huh, but do she need to throw her slipper to me".

I walk towards her and tried to wake her up completely. " miss you're not in earth anymore this is a another world, so wake up".

"What are you saying dumbass" Annnnd she lay on bed again and sleep.

I'm eating breakfast right now with Erel . We get out of the room late so we got late for breakfast. 

I can't look Erel directly to his eyes right now. I'm embarrassed because of I did in the morning.

I decided to gather my courage to apologize to him." Um sorry for what I did Erel, I'm still half sleep that time.

"Looks like you are but it's okay,by the way do feel okay now".he look at me while with a concerned face.

"I feel better now, and Erel what are we going to do now we can't live here forever we need to find a job" we need money for living expenses.

Also we should find an inn Gustavo and his family have help us enough. Maybe being a adventurer is not so bad.

"Have you asked Gustavo if he knows a job we can do". I steel up myself to ask Erel.

"Best way to earn money here is to become a adventurer he says, doing that that is not so bad".

" There are other jobs he mentioned like construction,farming, and stuff. But the pay is not enough, we need more money right now to buy things like clothes and other things needed to survive ". Erel explained.

Yes, we need a huge amount of money right now. "Then I agree, let's ask Gustavo for help".

"Okay let's look for him after we washed the dishes ". And we cleaned after that.

We asked Gustavo for help so we could become a adventurer. He guided us to the adventurer guild he recommended .

He said that there are 2 guilds in this village.

You can create a guild if you like, but in order to create a guild you have to ask for permission to the village mayor and pay him a huge amount you also have to pay taxes every month.Of course you also need people to form a guild.

The guild we are going to is called Cat guild. Cat guild is the weakest guild here, it only consists of 20 plus people and the missions,request,job,and expedition are few.

But Gustavo said that it is full of good people especially the guild master. Not like the other one called wolverine guild.

That guild has 60 or 70 members and they're always full of missions,request,job,and expedition.

We are now standing in the front of the guild house. "By the way do you two have grimoire " Gustavo suddenly asked.

Our eyes widened " what is a grimoire, we don't have any" we simultaneously answered.

"What you don't know you need those to get access to your status and other important things like information about your magic and blessings ". He shouted at us while rubbing his head in dismay.

After that he told us to wait and he run back home. After a while he came back with two books in his hands.

"These are the grimoire of my dead grandfather and grandmother, status and other informations disappear after the owners died so here". He told us while handing the grimoires.

"We cannot possibly accept that Gustavo, you have helped us enough" laria denied. "Me too" I followed up.

"But grimoire cost a lot you know, oh I got a idea just think of it as a debt you can repay me anytime ". Gustavo smiled

We accepted it and thanked him. We promised that we repay him someday.

We entered the guild and sat on the chairs . Gustavo told us that we should check our grimoire.

Apparently almost all people needed grimoire.  That's why Gustavo is so surprised asking which far kingdom we came from.

We sat and Gustavo explained all about grimoires. To activate a grimoire you have to put your hand on the first page where a magic circle is drawn.

When you put your hand the magic circle will glow and the grimoire will activate.

All pages contained many important things so it's very important for a adventurer.

I'm the first who tried it, after the magic circle glows and activate the grimoire we take a look on the classes page.

The classes page is where you can choose and take a look of your class.

Gustavo's eyes widened when he saw my class options.

The only class I can choose is monk. Suddenly I heard someone chuckling .

I saw laria chuckling with a ridiculously annoying face. What's with that annoying smirk.

"Wow sir Erel your only option is to become a monk. You can't even qualify to be a farmer , swordsman man or other class.

According to Gustavo there are requirements to every class. What shocks Gustavo is that the only class I can qualify to choose is monk.

You have to be a virgin that is age 30 or more. You also have to be pure it means that you haven't done any heavy sins.

Those are the only requirements for monk class. And after hearing those laria laugh loudly while tapping the table.

"Hahahhaa I guess you don't have any other choices so just choose to be a monk Erel pffft hahahah". Every body's attention is on Laria .

Seeing that Gustavo advised laria to calm down. Laria calmed down a bit but she is still giggling .

Veins pop on my forehead, but I ignore her and tap the monk to choose it. I guess I really have any other choice.

After I tap the monk option Gustavo suddenly spoke. "Oh I just remembered that you can add more options, for example a swordsman class you can just try and learn some swordsmanship  and it's added".

I was shocked I hold Gustavo's shoulder  and shake him" why didn't you tell me sooner now I'm stuck being a monk".

"Calm down even though you are stuck being a monk you can just add other class that you are qualified with in the future " Gustavo explained.

Phew I sat down feeling relieved. So we continued reading my grimoire. My magic is shadow kinda cool at least.

Also my blessing is shadow territory. This blessing allows me to grow stronger if I'm in a place full of shadows . It also enhance all commands I know.

But right now we both don't know any magic commands. When we tell Gustavo he asked us again many questions.

In this world every one knows a one or two commands. That's why Gustavo is very surprised.

I'm curious why my blessing of all tongue is not written. That blessing has helped me and laria to communicate and read in this new world .

Maybe that blessing is hidden or something .

Next is Laria, she puts her hand on the magic circle it successfully activate and we start reading.

First her job options, I burst to laughter when I saw the only option she has.

The only option is nun. The requirements is similar to monk.

I remember when we first met she said she is still 29 years old. " hahahah you said you are 29 years old so you lied to me back then"

Gustavo interrupted " you can check your age and birthdate in the status page".

We check immediately and she truly is already a 30 years old virgin woman.

" I remember now my birthday is last month I forget about it completely because I don't normally celebrate my birthday " she said with troubled face.

I continued to tease her . But she kick me on the stomach shutting me up completely .

She continued reading like nothing happened. Her blessing is sunlight blessing.

With that blessing she can get mana from sunlight. It will also accelerate the healing of any injuries she has.

That blessing is good, lucky her. Her magic is light. A complete opposite of mine.

So she choose the nun class. Actually she can delay the class choosing.

So she can just try acquiring the requirements for other classes so she can add more options.

I found out when Gustavo explains how to add more options , when I'm choosing classes last time. That time she is not paying attention.

But I decided to not tell her so she can feel my pain too. Ater we checked Laria's grimoire.

We close it and we go to the guild secretary. The guild secretary told us the requirements to join the guild.

To join the guild your class must be appropriate to be an adventurer. Then you have to pay the guild and sign some papers.

And to keep working in the guild you have to pay taxes every month. We already signed the papers .

About the payment Gustavo take care of it . At first we reject his help but he insists eventually we accept it. We just agreed to add it to our debt to him.

After all of that we received a card. The card contains our name,birthdate,sex,and,rank.

Our current rank is warrior,there are 7 ranks mythic, legend, hero, grandmaster, master , elite, and warrior.

Your rank will rank up according to your achievements . We put our card in our pocket and we walk to the board to choose our very first adventure .
