Tomorrow

Alvira patiently waited for Kayla but she never came. "This girl!" She murmured controlling the anger laced in her voice. What on earth was taking her so long? just to get food....? She left like thirty minutes ago and she hasn't returned yet, who knows where she went off to?

Alvira paced back and forth outside the room they had just left. They were done with everything finally. And as though God heard her prayers request, they were told to come early the next morning. She just wasn't ready yet and she don't think she ever will be. A part of her told her to not worry, who knows he wouldn't be the one right? Further more on the news when they spoke about this 'CEO Li' His faces wasn't shown on the screen so why should she panic? What if it's a misunderstanding and he wasn't the one she thinks he is?. Oh Lord she pray so.

Alvira's mind went on complete overdrive. Thoughts flowing in and out, in circles and in spheres. "Urgh I think this hunger is doing things to my brain. Kayla!!" She pronounced with gritted teeth, while squeezing her flat tummy with her hands. "I think I should go find a canteen myself. It's been thirty five minutes already and Kayla is still not in sight." Just when she turned around, she sighted Kayla coming from a distance. Her face brightened and she sighed in relief.

"Hey! hey!" She waved calling out to her. Thankfully Kayla saw her and hastened her strides towards where she stood.

"What are you doing out here? is the briefing done already?" Kayla bombard her with questions when she reached her standing point.

"Waiting for you, yes it is, and can I please eat I'm starving." Alvira replied serially to her questions. Her lips were stuck out in a pouting stance when she dropped her last sentence.

"No!." Kayla slapped her hand that wanted reaching out for the food, earning an accusal glare from Alvira. "You can't eat here we need to find a place to seat first."

"uhhh fine! whatever."Alvira rolled her eyes dramatically.

"Childish." Kayla uttered before moving to ask someone who she saw passing by. "Excuse me, Please could you direct us to a canteen here?"

"Sure, you go further a little bit, then you come across a two path wat, just take the left and go straight." The person showed to them.

"Alright thanks a lot."

"You are welcome, do have a good time."

Kayla and Alvira followed the the instructions they got from the stranger and fortunately found their way there. It was a classy one, it gave off an high-end restaurant vibe. A comfy one two. They instantly got comfortable and started to dine.

In the middle of their meal. "So.....?"

"So what?"

Rolling her eyes. "Seems the food has blocked your senses. How did it go?"

"Oh that. It was boring though but the enlightenment was superb." Alvira responded.

"So you are starting today?"

"No I'm not, oh my Gosh this crabs are crunchy and delicious where did you get them?"

"Al!!" Kayla laid a stretch on her name.

"Yeah, sorry."

"What job where you given?"

The question caused a pause from Alvira. "Personal assistant to the Boss." She said in low voice.

"What? like.... the CEO?" Kayla shrieked.

Alvira nodded as a reply.

"Him?"

"Don't know."

"Wow!"

"You are gonna start tomorrow right?" Kayla asked, still sinking in the information.

"Yeah, before six."

"What!!, what type of Job is that?."

"Lower your voice Kay, you are loud." She tried to shush her up, her voice was Audible even to the next seat which was a few metres away from theirs, judging from how spacious the canteen Is.

"But I don't get it, why are you supposed to be present before six?, I mean is it only you or are others included?" Kayla asked, shocked.

"Only me, I was told the reason being the boss is a workaholic and like to be on time, The previous assistants he had all quit because they couldn't keep up with him and the one before me was fired by you know who." Alvira explained.

"You aren't doing this right?" Kayla asked With furrowed brows.

"I have no choice Kay and besides the pay is gonna be high" Alvira said, trying to convince Kayla.

"And how on earth do you know that?"Kayla mumbled, not buying it.

"Babe! this is a multi billion company, in addition I'm working with the Big Boss. ObV...."

"Whatever." Kayla said with a sigh. This is just pure wickedness and not a job.

In no time, they were both done with their meal and headed for home. "Thank you very much for today Kayla. I really appreciate." Alvira said.

"Anything for you, like I said it's what Friends do, right?"

"Alvira stared at her speechless, she had nothing to say. She smiled and gave her a hug.

"Now let's go in, it's about to rain."

It was night already.

Alvira's stared quietly at the ceiling, listening to the pitter patter of the rain drizzling outside. It was refreshing. But her head was filled with how tomorrow is going to be her. Waking up around four or five, running of to work, that is going to be stressful and she knew, no one else from Lady Roose could do this. No wonder she was pushed in as a punishment. Now she understands. Instead of mulling over something, it's way better to plan and be ahead. Alvira closed her eyes in hopes of what tomorrow will bring, while not sleep peacefully and face the trouble tomorrow.
