This Is It

The buzzing sound of the alarm she set, woke her up into a frenzy. Her eyes were still uncleared and dizzy. Good thing she was sensitive enough to hear the alarm before it could beeped to the end. She ground and stretched. She was feeling too lazy to whip herself out of her comfy mattress. But she had to be knocked some senses into her head. Her eyes almost fell off when it landed on what the time was saying. "Four thirty?!" She jumped out of bed with immense strength.

Without delay, she rushed into the bathroom and in less than fifteen minutes she was done with everything, including her dressing and what not.

It was four fifty five by the time she had left home, yeah. She left without telling Kayla, she just didn't have the time to. On the outside, it was still a little bit dark and honestly no taxi's were passing at that time. She knew if she wants to get one she will have to trek a little further, which was going to take her another extra fifteen minutes. 'Gods this is just suffering.' She half wailed.

Without no choice, she did what was needful and went on to fine a taxi. 'I'll need my own car to do this everyday, oh am I kidding? I haven't even gotten a bicycle yet. F**k this cursed life." She scoffed at herself.

At the end of the junction, she stood waiting for luck to meet her today, if not any other day atleast just today!. Thankfully it worked she immediately saw a taxi coming towards her behind the fog that appeared and she hurriedly stopped it and got in.

The whole fifty minutes drive wasn't easy as she kept checking on her time again and again. Before six right? well then she did just that. She arrived at 5:49. She paid the taxi and strolled into the building through the front entrance.

Honestly it was huge and big, it was a sight worth seeing and craving. It was marvellous that she got to be in here.

"Please could you show me the reception desk?" Alvira asked a man who looked quite her age for the direction.

"You can find it over there." He pointed it out for her.

"Thank you." Her lips tucked up in an appreciative smile.

"You are welcome." He said before leaving.

Alvira moved on to the place he pointed for her. The receptionist was on sit. She pulled out a slip they were given yesterday after the briefing. "Good morning." She flashed a friendly smile to her.

The receptionist took it and gave a look at it. She studied it carefully as if trying to guage if it was original or fake. She asked her name.

"Alvira." She responded, earnings a raised brow from the receptionist. "Only Alvira." she said, understanding the receptionist line of questions.

"Okay.." Although finding it weird, she still went on with her job, she started typing on her computer and after she was done confirming she gave Alvira a scrutinizing gaze. "P.A to the CEO?"

"Yes, Alvira replied with brows furrowed. 'Obviously didn't she see it there?, why is she still asking irrelevant questions like this.' She mentally thought.

"Alright, you go on over there, and you will have someone enlighten you on your Job so you could avoid mistakes in the near future." The receptionist uttered with smile, that looked fake and obvious.

"Thank you." Alvira reciprocated. Immediately she turned around her smile faded completely without a trace and she could bet, so would the receptionist's too.

She followed the direction she was shown. "Why do they have a lot of procedures here, God it's tiring." She whined out loud, she came in contact with a door, she knocked softly.

"Come in." The voice at the other end instructed, Which she obeyed. "Good morning." She greeted with respect.

"Good morning too, you are?"

"I'm Alvira, the new personal assistant to the CEO and I was sent to you by the receptionist sir." She explained.

"Oh, okay you came to the right place." Like that he told her the likes and dislikes of the boss, the do's and Don't, and also gave his schedule to her and taught her in what way to Manage them. He truly like her co-operation because she asked questions from time to time and also analyse somethings on her own. He must say, she was smart and got the brains, just how their CEO likes it. He could tell that this one is indeed going to last.

It was past 6:30 when the got the news the boss have arrived. Alvira found herself, standing Infront of the CEO's office with curled hands and sweaty palms, her nervousness knew the bounds. This is it!.
