"You're a newcomer too?" Shi Niannian was somewhat surprised.
Gu Lin hummed a response but said no more. She drove the car so fast that Shi Niannian felt her soul was about to leave her body.
She dared not speak, as at such speeds in a convertible, the wind made the flesh on her face quiver.
Fortunately, the bar wasn't far away, or she would have been scared stiff.
After Gu Lin parked the car, Shi Niannian still hadn't recovered, her little face deathly pale.
Gu Lin got out of the car and saw Shi Niannian hadn't moved. She looked over, "Shi Niannian?"
Shi Niannian heard Gu Lin call her name and came back to her senses. She opened the car door, stepped out, and when she stood up, her legs gave way and she nearly fell, but Gu Lin was by her side and caught her.
"What's the matter?"
"Thank you!" Shi Niannian clutched Gu Lin's hand. "You drive a bit fast; it scared me."
"Sorry, I'm used to it—I forgot you were in the car. I'll be more careful next time."
