Just The Beginning My Dear

"Wow, you haven't changed one bit. Everything is still the same as it used to be." Nadira said as she strolled in from the entrance, pretty familiar with the place like it was hers.

With an ignorant look, Alexander walked passed her, pulling of his suit and undoing some of his shirt button.

"Alex." She called, running to catch up with him.

Within three steps she got hold of him, grabbing him by his arm. "Tell me, why didn't you change anything at all, huh?" With a smile so beautiful, she asked. But only got ignored.

Then again something felt off, Alexander took a pause, his brows furrowed downwards. The villa felt extremely quiet, so quiet that it gave the feeling it was empty.

"What's wrong, why did you stop?" Nadira asked, taken unaware of his abrupt stop.

With a snap, he turned his head over to the solfa. A flash of something appeared in his eyes. It was quick but it was there.

Nadira followed his line of sight over to see a silhouette of a girl laying weakly. Her eyes widen in shock, her mouth flew agape.

Before she could even process what she was seeing right before her, the weight in her hand was gone and she could see Alexander hastenly walking towards the figure.

Her mind became restless.

Alexander immediately squatted before the girl, she could see him using his hand to swerve her hair to the side.

That baffled her more, her steps staggered. She looked like a woman who just caught her partner cheating on her.

Blinking frantically, she gathered her resolve. "Who…Who is she Alex?"

Alexander only threw a look of contempt at her before returning his gaze back to the girl on the solfa. But it wasn't the same look he gave to her, it was…soft?

Nadira couldn't believe what she was seeing.

Alexander stood and gathered her in his arms, gently picking her up, he turned to carry her over to her room, but Nadira was right in the way.

She took a peek at the sleeping girl in his arms but she couldn't see her face because her hair was messed over, covering her sight to view.

"Move." His tone held no joke, and she knew he meant it.

Without being told twice, she slowly but unstably took two steps aside and watched him pass her by without a little hesitation.

She stood agrieved at the situation, she did not expect it to be this way, no! she never expected it to be this way.

"Master….Master are you…back." The small whispers from the girl sounded out weak and feeble.

Nadira turned towards them after hearing the weak voice. What surprised her the most was.

"Mmmm, I'm back." Alexander responded.

He just replied?

Instantly, she could see the red light being highlighted at her. With her knuckles molded hard and that dangerous stare emitting from that oh innocent face, she chose not to ignore it.

"Master, I…I was waiting…for you." The level of weakness was evident in her cracked voice.

Alexander stared at her. He had already arrived at her bedroom, the bed was just right Infront of him but he didn't know why he couldn't put her down.

She felt to comfortable in his arms with her eyes closed and her hands hung tightly around his neck.

She felt so light, so light like a feather pen. Her sleeping face and that slightly open lips of hers was a sight to behold, it looked so alluring and distracting.

Too bad the distraction wasn't able to last long as a knock echoed on the already opened door.

Alexander turned to see who it was and it turned out to be Nadira, who was leaning over with her hands folded.

"The take-outs you ordered have arrived, I've set the dinner ready." Tipping her chin at Alyce who was still in Alex's arms, she said. "You should wake her up for dinner, she's apparently starved."

With that, she turned around and left, with the sound of her heels turning faint as she evacuates.

His attention went back to the sleeping beauty in his arms, with an inaudible sigh he lowered her down to the bed.

After staring at her for a while, "Alyce."

He began to call out softly. "Alyce."

This time she stirred a little, but limped back to sleep.

He stretched out his hand but after some seconds he retracted it. "Alyce." He called again.

"Hmmph, Master?" She whined, still dizzy from sleep.

"Wake up."

His deep voice pulled her off her sleep.

With a few blinks, she sat up, rubbing her eyes sleepily while yawning. She looked so cute doing that.

Alexander cleared his throat as his gaze bounced from one place to another, just trying to avoid one particular direction.

Alyce instantly flew from the bed when she noticed him. "Good evening." She greeted but it came out as whispers, making herself surprised.

"Come down for dinner, you must be hungry." He walked away living her all alone in the bedroom.

Alyce brows furrowed. "Is he mad at me again?" Taking her lips in between her teeth, she was worried. She immediately went out closing the door behind her.

Upon reaching the dinner room, her steps slowed down.

"Oh she's here. Come on, come eat." Nadira called out with a wide smile upon seeing Alyce.

Alyce was surprised by the unexpected guest. She glanced at Alexander but the man was concentrated on his meal. She looked back to the lady who was calling her over earlier.

Slowly she continued her steps to the dinning and took a seat opposite from where they sat. She noticed they sat next to each other.

"Hi." Nadira waved her hands childishly at Alyce. "I'm Nadira."

"Hi." Alyce awkwardly reciprocated. "...Alyce."

"Nice to meet you." Nadira giggled.

Alyce could only strain up a smile at her.

"Are you one of the maids aunty assigned to Alex?" Nadira started.

"huh?"

"I mean, were you assigned by aunty to take care of Alex, I know she cares a lot for her son you see."

Alyce blankly stared at her, she couldn't understand a thing she was saying. She watched Nadira continuously putting food in Alexander's plate with a lovely smile on her face.

"Why are you not eating? Come on eat up."

"Oh…I will." Alyce awkwardly responded.

Under the lovely act of Nadira, Alyce burried her head in her plate and slowly started to eat.

Nadira noticed this, she smirked at her. "Arhhhh" She did, holding the spoon to Alex's mouth.

This action caught Alyce's attention, she raised her head up to the duo, looking at them attentively as though the was something she wanted acknowledging.

"Come on, open up. Don't tell me you are shy?" Nadira giggled even at the deadly questioning stare she was receiving from him. Seeing that he wasn't taking it, she forcefully fed it to him to save her face.

"Mmm, that's it." She shone her pretty white set at him.

Alyce gingerly hung her head low while pricking the food with her spoon. Her lips were tightly pressed against each other.

"Why aren't you eating? Don't you like it?"

"Huh, no, I mean…. It's not appropriate for me to eat here with you,....I should eat later." Alyce replied Nadira with an awkward laugh, she immediately rolled the chair backward and was about to leave.

"Stop there. Sit."

Alexander's voice immediately halted her.

She was about prying her lips open to speak.

"Yes, sit please. Are we making you uncomfortable? Please don't mind us that's just the way we are.

Moreover you are clearly very hungry, you should eat something, and don't mind us please, gosh." She piqued in with a caring chuckle.

Alyce could do nothing about it, she slowly took her seat again.

The red tint on Nadira's cheeks were so obvious to her. She couldn't help but look at both of them, speculating what relationship they had.

"Pass me the soup please." Nadira told Alyce, pointing right beside her.

"Oh, okay." Alyce sprung to get the dish Nadira requested. She gently held it with her two hands as it was burning hot.

But Nadira seemed to be oblivious to this. Stretching her left had, she unbanlancedly held the plate which resulted in the hot liquid splashing on her soft and tender skin, scalding it a deep red.

"Arghhh." She screamed in pain.

Alyce was shocked by the turn out. Before she could react, Alexander had already grabbed Nadira's hand, latching his lips on the bruised area, which made her immediately cease midway while staring at them with bulging eyes of shock. Which part she was shocked about? She wasn't so sure.

Nadira winced softly in pain. "I just wanted some soup, I didn't know I'll end up with this Alex."

"Why can't you be more careful?!" Alexander raised his voice.

"I…I just want some…" Nadira was in the middle of explaining when she saw Alexander's gaze directed at Alyce.

"Ah…. I…. I…. I'm sorry." Alyce flinched, she was caught off guard. How could he blame her? It was clearly not her to blame. But what can she do? She immediately apologized on instinct, after all, it was clear what's going to happen if she started a refute.

The shrewed smile on Nadira's face was sharp, her slanting lips really portrayed the devil inside she tries so hard to hide. In a millisecond, it was gone, back to the docile and harmless damsel who just got hurt and needed protection.

"Come with me, we should apply something on it." Alex said, raising Nadira and walking away gently with her.

He paused and turned around.

"You. Clean up this mess."

With that, he left with Nadira in his arms, holding on to him.

She had a smile of victory shielded by the wave of her blonde hair. 'This is just the beginning my dear.'
