Don't know Why

Without sparing a second, Alyce felt herself being dragged in. Before she knew it, she was already inside his room.

The moment she opened her mouth to let out an apology.

"Stop! Enough apology for today." Alexander immediately halted her. She had been apologizing since he arrived back from work and it was getting annoying. Though this particular offense that she had done was worth punishing, he didn't know why he could only glare at her in anger. If it was someone else by now she would have been lying by the threshold of the villa, weeping and crying mercilessly.

But imagining her in that state created some discomfort in his heart. Instead, he dragged her into his room. He didn't even know why he did that. He just needed something, anything! To release this pent up frustration that he had been receiving from her lately.

Alyce on the other hand, was somewhat gaze-stricken, seeing her boss fuming right in front of her. She didn't even want to blink afraid that she would miss a single trace of his expression.

She was utterly dumbstruck looking at him from up close. The anger glued on his face was making him look more dangerously handsome in her eyes.

Without even her knowledge, she began raising her fingers up to his face.

Slowly and slowly, still enchanted by his devilish looks.

Alexander was confused at first of what she was doing. His brows squinted while looking down at the girl just below his chest, wondering what she was planning to do.

Her gentle and mild touch softly landed on the tip of his pointed nose, tracing it down to the base. She was ever so slow, coupled with the smooth touch of her fingers. It was spine-tingling.

Alexander held in his breath the moment her fingers traced down to the beginning of his lips. His eyes widened slightly.

Alyce, who was in a world of her own, totally oblivious to what impact her movements had on him, continued with keen interest, as if she was doing something very important that heeded no mistakes at all.

Her seriousness was what stunned Alexander the more. How could she be so composed and still when doing this to a man? A straight man!

Alexander started to doubt if she was truly in her right senses. No! She wasn't, he was sure of it. After all, it hasn't been long since she got discharged.

Her hands traced down from his lips to his sharp chin. If he didn't know better, he would have thought that this was a trick of hers to get him. After all numerous women had repeatedly tried to tie him to them with so many accusations and what not. If he didn't know better, he would have thought this was an act of seduction of hers.

He doubtedly drain such thoughts out. Someone as innocent and pure as her can't do such. He couldn't even begin to imagine her as that kind of a person.

Moreover, she was still a child. What will she gain even if she had that mind.

Alyce gaze was clouded, as though she was hypnotized or casted a spell upon.

Her fingers began to advance to his chiseled jawline, making Alex rethink the situation. He couldn't help but blink.

He almost staggered back when he saw her clouded gaze on his chest. Now he was more confused than earlier, he didn't know what on earth was happening.

When things began to go south, he grabbed hold of her wrist. He couldn't even speak, his voice long buried with the tension floating in his chest.

Shutting his eyes tightly as if he was trying to get rid of whatever euphoric feeling clouding his senses, exhaling loudly, he looked down at the girl who seemed to just realized what she had been doing.

Alyce immediately struggled her arms out of his hold, the wave of embarrassment washed through her face leaving it pale white. 'What's wrong with me today.' She mentally cried to herself.

"Master…..master, I'm…" She paused when she remembered his irritation earlier. Thinking of it, it's quite true. She had already apologized way too much already in a day.

Alyce blamed herself badly, she thought she could avoid trouble and just be a good girl. Obeying all rules, leaving no space for complaints.

But it hasn't even been up to twenty four hours yet since she arrived and she has been on a trouble spree. She didn't even have the courage to apologize again.

Everything was making her feel a huge sense of guilt, her guilt knew no bounds. "Sorry for the trouble." With a downcasted mood, she turned around to leave.

"Where do you think you are going?"

Before her hand could reach the handle of the door, she heard his voice.

She couldn't reply, but only turn to him with her head faced down.

Alexander gave her a look for a while. He took her hand and dragged her over to his bed where he sat her down.

His hands reached for her forehead. "Your temperature is rising, it's getting serious. You still don't want me to call the doctor now?"

Alyce shook her head sideways in reply, her bad mood was obvious.

"When I ask you a question you speak." Alexander said, his voice getting scary.

"No, tomorrow will be fine. I think I don't even need a doctor, if I take a rest I'll be okay." She replied him absentmindedly.

"Who told you that?"

Alyce shrugged her shoulders at his question. "I don't know, I just think so, or I should say I feel so."

Hearing her, Alexander was silent for some seconds. "So you haven't gotten any recollection of your memory?"

Alyce brought her gaze to him, she stared silently for a while before what seemed to be a sad smile appeared on her face. 'He can't wait for me to leave.'

"No." She responded to him.

The both became quiet after her reply. Alyce hesitantly raised her head up to him. "Can I ask you something Master?"

"What is it?" Alexander asked her as he walked over and sat beside her on the bed.

Alyce was struck quiet for a moment before she regained her senses. She blinked several times before going back to her question.

"If I…if I one day recall my memories, will….you send me back?"

Alexander looked at her silently for while.

They gazed into each other's eyes. She was patiently waiting for his answer, with every second passing by she could feel her heartbeat in rhythm.

Judging from his quietness, she already knew, it was something that will end her up in disappointment. 'What is this feeling?' She couldn't help but question herself.

"Sleep, tomorrow I'll call the doctor just as you said."

Alexander stood after telling her that.

Her lips were pressed into a thin line. She exhaled before standing up with him.

"Good night Master." She said with a smile, feigning ignorance of the fact that he avoided her question.

"Mmm." That was all he replied.

With one last look, she left his room closing the door gently, unaware of the pair of eyes that watched her from behind as she stepped out closing the door behind her.

The smile she had inside the room was totally gone. "I don't know why but I'm sad." She said to herself with a pout.
