She cleared her throat and he finally looked up from his phone, "Yes?" Emily narrowed her eyes accusingly, "Where is it?" Blake sat up from the couch and placed his phone on the center table, "Where is what?" "My pink lace underwear, you perv!" she accused through gritted teeth. An early birthday gift

A knock was heard on the door and both women looked at the door before looking at each other.

"Are you expecting someone?" Hope questioned and Anessa glanced at her watch.

Based on the time, she remembered that she was indeed expecting someone. Anessa  got up and rushed to the door, "It should be the locks people."

Hope furrowed her brows, "The locks people?"

Anessa opened the door and men dressed in blue overalls with toolkits in their hands were patiently waiting. She smiled as she greeted them, "Hello, thank you for coming."

The men got to work immediately and Anessa returned to the kitchen island where she was seated keeping an eye on Hope. The apartment got noisy as the men began installing the biometric locks Anessa ordered.

Hope dried her hands and went to sit at the kitchen island in front of Anessa. "Does Emily know you're doing this?"

Anessa smiled, "It's an early birthday gift."
