Chapter 126

RATE AND REVIEW

Ariana opened her eyes and realized she was standing. She saw that she was in dark room.

She looked beside her and saw Mrs Wilson standing beside her.

" Where have you brought me to?" She asked, trying hard to surpress her anger and hatred for Mrs Wilson.

" Look over there"  Mrs Wilson said and pointed across the room.

" Micheal" Ariana called and rushed across the room to the man who was tied up to a chair and badly bruised.

" Be..... Becky" he muttered.

" What happened to you? How did you end up like this?" She asked in tears.

" Elizabeth did this to me. She's a monster" 

" I know, I'll get you out of here" she rushed to Mrs Wilson and knelt in front of her, " I'm begging you mum, please let my brother go. I beg of you" she cried.

" I'll let him go once I marry Edward and that's a promise" Mrs Wilson said.

" Don't trust her Becky, she's a liar" Micheal muttered.

" I'll come pick you up the day Edward comes to see you. That'll be the next time you'll see your brother and make sure to do as I say" Mrs Wilson said and explained the plan to her.

" Won't you just let my brother go?" 

" I don't trust you. You might try to act smart and at the end, I won't marry Edward so I'm not taking that chance" Mrs Wilson said.

With that, she pierced a needle deep into Ariana's flesh and Ariana screamed in pain.

" That's your countdown to rescuing your brother" Mrs Wilson said. 

" What.. what did you do to me?" She asked 

" Just remember, don't tell anybody and don't try to act smart" Mrs Wilson said.

BACK TO PRESENT......

" Ari, it's me. Come out and tell me everything, I thought we were friends before we became a couple" Raymond called out.

" Ariana, I thought you looked up to me like a mother? Please for the sake of that, tell me what is going on" Mrs Lambert begged and from the way she sounded, it felt like she was about to cry.

" I can't trust Elizabeth with my brother's safety and I can't see mum in tears. I'll have to do what is right" she opened the door. " Edward, you'll be getting married to Elizabeth in two days and that's final" she said and walked over to Mrs Lambert.

TWO DAYS LATER..

" I'm begging you Becky,  don't let your father do this, stop this now. It's me you're upset with so why are you dragging your father into this" Ashley begged as they walked into the church where Edward would be getting married to Elizabeth.

" Ari, this is not right. Stop this madness now" Beatrice said.

" I know what's right and that's what I'm going to do" Ariana said and sat in the crowd present for the wedding.

" Are you sure about this?" Casey asked.

" I've never being surer" Ariana said and tears streamed down her eyes.

She was making a decision for the safety of her brother and there was nothing anyone was going to say that'd change her mind.

After some time, Edward walked in clad in a black suit and he looked smart.

Ariana stared at Ashley and she could see the tears that welled up in her eyes, her husband was getting married to someone else after all but Ariana didn't care. All she cared about was her brother's safety and that was it.

Edward stood at the altar and while everyone waited for the bride to show up, Ariana snuck out.

" I'm getting you married to Edward so you have to keep your part of the deal, release my brother" Ariana said to Mrs Wilson.

" Of course, I'll release him but I have to do one more thing" Mrs Wilson said.

" And...." Before she could complete her statement, Mrs Wilson injected her again.

" Aaaah" she winced and started to feel dizzy.

" I'm off to getting married, see you at the Pew" Mrs Wilson said and with that, she walked into the church.

Ariana took out her phone and called someone, " is it done?" She asked and she smiled after receiving response.

She staggered back into the church and watched the wedding proceedings take place while Ashley sobbed.

" If there is anyone here that has an objection to this wedding, please speak or forever hold your peace" Ariana heard the priest say .

" I have an objection" Ashley spoke in tears.

" And why is that?" The priest asked .

" That man is my husband" she said 

" Is this true? Are you really married?" The priest asked Edward who stared at Ariana.

When Edward stated at Ariana, he could see that all was not well but he'd already promised to marry Mrs Wilson and there was nothing he could do about it.

" She's lying priest. You can continue" Edward said and Ashley sat back down while Mrs Wilson smiled to herself.

" Do you, Elizabeth Wilson accept Edward Morgan as your lawfully wedded husband, for.........".

" Stop this wedding" a voice commanded and everyone turned to see who's voice possessed such authority.

Ariana smiled after seeing who it was.

" Micheal" she muttered and ran to him in a bid to embrace him but before she could get to him, she passed out.

" Becky!!" Edward called and rushed to her while Mrs Wilson smiled to herself.

" Get some water" Ashley said.

" It's of no use Ashley because soon your daughter will leave this world, and for good" she said.

" What are you talking about?" Micheal asked.

" In a bid to save you, your sister did some things which will cost her life" Mrs Wilson said with a smile on her face.

" What are you talking about?" Casey asked.

" I have injected her severally with a deadly poison and the last dose was injected today and it's having it's effect" she said with a smile on her face.

" Officer, there she is. Arrest her" Mrs Lambert told the officers and pointed at Mrs Wilson.

" Come on, arrest me because I'll gladly go to jail" she said and walked over to the officers.

" You're under arrest madam and anything you say or do will be used against you in the court of law" the officer said and cuffed her.

" What have you done to her?" Mrs Lambert asked after seeing Ariana unconscious.

" I have injected her with a poison I created myself" she said and laughed maniacally. " The countdown to her death starts now" she said as the officers dragged her away.

" I've called an ambulance, they're on their way" Raymond said.

" Ari, Ari, wake up" Casey called in tears.

" Bring her, I'll take her to the hospital myself" Edward said and carried her in his arms.

" Just wait for a minute, the ambulance will be here" Raymond said.

" I'm afraid I can't. I can't wait that long while my daughter is dying, look at her, she's getting cold" Edward said.

" Here, I'll warm her up" Mrs Lambert said and started rubbing her hand while Casey rubbed one foot and Mariana rubbed the other.

" It's not helping" Edward said and carried her out when the ambulance arrived.

" Thank goodness" Raymond muttered to himself before giving her to the attendants.

" Come with us, we'll take her to the hospital" the attendant said and made room for them to get into the ambulance.

After they all got in, he shut the door and the van started moving.

" Please warm her up, we'll soon be there" the attendant said and everyone rubbed harder.

" Please stay strong Becky, mummy is here for you" Ashley said in tears.

" I'm sorry, she did this to save me" Micheal said with regret.

" What do you mean by that?" Ashley asked and Micheal cast her a hateful glare.

" Tell me Micheal, what did Becky have to do to save you and what did she have to save you from?" Edward asked.

" A few weeks ago while I was in college studying, something happened"

FLASHBACK......

" Yes dad, I'm working very hard" Micheal said and continued to go through the book he was with.

" Yes son, I'm very proud of you" Edward said over the phone.

" Well, I have to tell you something, I might not be able to take your calls because I'll be working on a project and I need to have full concentration so I hope it's fine by you" Micheal asked and flipped to the next page.

" Of course, besides when you call back, I have a surprise for you" Edward said.

" What is that?" Micheal asked 

" You'll know soon" Edward said and hung up.

" I wonder what he meant by surprise because he has never for once thought of giving anyone a surprise" Micheal thought to his self.

" What if I tell you" a familiar voice said and Micheal raised his head " Elizabeth?"

" Hello Mike, how are you doing?" She asked with a mischievous smile on her face.

" Don't you dare ask me any stupid question. What are you doing here?" He asked 

" I just came to give you a little surprise" and with that, Mrs Wilson sprayed something which caused him to pass out.

" Take him away" she said and some able bodied men dragged an unconscious Micheal away.

Micheal opened his eyes and found himself tied to a chair and he felt pains all over his body.

" See who's finally awake" Mrs Wilson spoke in a devilish manner.

" What have you done to me you witch" Micheal asked and tried to get free from the chair.

" I haven't done anything to you yet but not to worry, I'll do something to you but don't worry, I just need to get what I want and then I'll kill you and your sister" she said with a smile on her face.

BACK TO PRESENT...

" Elizabeth continued to torture me and kept making videos of it which she posted and got money" Micheal said.

'' so, what did Becky do?" Edward asked 

" She made a deal with Elizabeth to get me free by getting you married to Elizabeth not knowing that she planned to kill me once she was married to you and then send Becky to a rehab center" Micheal said.

" It's true but luckily, she was smart" Mrs Lambert said
