THE THREE-HEADED BEAST AND THE PAST OF REINFORCEMENTS

In front of them appeared a pale young man, with a vampire look, dark eyes and medium-cut black hair, with thin lips and an imposing presence.

Upon seeing it, Evander hugged Ocean tightly, to prevent that being from looking at her and wanting to have her.

"Ebon? What are you doing here?" reacted Barret, who seemed to know him too.

"Ebon!" Maeko ran excitedly to hug him.

Everyone seemed to know him perfectly except for the community team and Ocean and Evander.

An aura of mysticism surrounded him, as well as black smoke. Ebon adjusted his hair, looking quite narcissistic and extremely fixated on his physique.

"Where's Nix?"

"Who are you?" Milo questioned, pointing a gun.

"Allow me to introduce myself," he adjusted the tie of his formal suit, "I am Ebon, the bringer of darkness, the opposite of Nix, I come from the darkest corners of the world and the human interior, I am part of the mother ether, therefore that was inside that poor boy's body too," he pointed to Zev, who was lying on the ground.

Milo began to tremble but continued to hold the weapon tightly. He became nervous when he realized that he was pointing it at a deity. In addition, Ebon's appearance had become aggressive, even his eyes took on a reddish tone.

"So where is it?" he asked again, slowly approaching Milo's team.

"You plan to do?" Maeko asked from behind.

Ebon turned his head slightly and gave a subtle smile.

"I'm on your side," he gestured to all the reinforcements.

Milo, Luna and Zev were dismayed, that deity of darkness would fight hand to hand with the reinforcements. Zev tried to stand up and do something to capture that deity back inside him but he had no strength or power to do so.

Ayden took a deep breath and turned his body away, apparently Ebon's presence made him uncomfortable.

"I'm not going to wait," he said in a dark tone, putting his fingers to his forehead, but before he could speak again, Milo shot him.

The bullet pierced his left shoulder, dark blood oozing out of his skin. Ebon brought his fingers to the liquid that was dripping on his body and began to laugh very calmly. Milo was shaking, Luna was gaping, and Zev just couldn't react. The blood healed quickly as if by magic, attacking someone like him, with weapons, would be of no use.

"Spectralization," he pronounced.

His red eyes lit up as a pile of corpses and spirits from beyond suddenly appeared. The soldiers of Jolene and La Resistencia noticed what happened and got to work.

The Community of the Dawn began attacking the corpses while Kylen and Ronda approached reinforcements.

"What's going on? Who is that guy?"

Before answering, Ebon took his beast form, the three-headed one, and led an army of undead to attack and destroy everything. People were alarmed and some decided to give up and accept death. The corpses slammed their bones against the skulls of some captured living people, leaving the ground bathed in blood, Ebon had appeared with only one purpose, to cause chaos.

"Stop!" Kylen exclaimed about to attack but Ebon cut off some of his fingers with his sharp claws.

Kylen fell to the ground and cut fabric from his uniform to use as a bandage.

Milo and Luna approached Shun to wake him up, little by little the young man opened his eyes and saw the scene in front of him.

"So the legend is true," thought the draftsman soldier, "my painting..."

"You can still join us," he heard Evander murmur nearby.

Shun frowned and stood up quickly, punching his fist in the air in every area where he heard Evander's voice.

"The other reinforcements are moving away," Luna pointed out.

"I don't want to go on," Zev uttered, trying to stand up but falling again.

"Brother..."

"Milo, let's go home, this is not our fight," Zev said asking for help to get up.

"I can't leave," he looked down, "I'm committed to this, if I don't, I'm going to die..."

Luna and Zev stared at him as they heard him speak.

"As you know, I am a spirit, rather I would say that I am the soul of my body, I screwed up, I traveled too far and ruined the loop of this dimension, Jolene found out and forced me to work for the community as long as my spirit does not disappear," he cleared his throat, "mother ether told me she needed a traveler with a physical body and well, Zev turned out to be one, maybe that's why we were able to come here, together..."

Zev punched Milo in the face, as if blaming him for getting him into that situation.

"You knew everything and couldn't say anything, how is that possible?" He let out another blow.

"Zev stop it," Luna said in his defense.

"No, don't defend him, he got us into all this."

"He's right, it's my fault Luna but I didn't want to involve anyone," he said regretfully.

"He's right, it's my fault Luna but I didn't want to involve anyone," he said repentantly, "I didn't know the risks of astral travel, don't ruin this place on purpose."

Zev stopped hitting him, breathing heavily until he calmed down.

Suddenly a light illuminated his path, Zev looked ahead, he saw the war, the destruction, the chaos. In front of him the four elements that formed light and darkness came together at the same time, it was like seeing the balance of the world collapse.

He felt suffocated by the situation and wanted to run away until he saw Nix near him.

"Come with me Zev, I have a gift for you but you have to help me save the world."

He felt great peace when he heard her voice, he let himself be carried away by Nix's power, hoping for a quick solution, however, in the middle of the fight, two people noticed that he was straying from the path. Ronda and Ocean followed him stealthily.

Milo noticed Ocean following his brother so he ran after her while Luna stayed with the community troops. Ocean was going at high speed, propelling herself with the help of fire, she was ready to attack Zev head on using her hard skin to hurt him, however, Milo jumped to his defense and covered Zev with his body.

Ocean pulverized Milo with her blows, leaving him seriously injured.

"Stop it Ocean!" Zev exclaimed.

But she ignored it. Ocean brought with her a bundle in a bag, which she threw on the ground right next to Milo.

Nix opened her eyes even more when she saw that that lump was Milo's physical body. Ocean had searched for him in River East until she found him.

"Your brother was always right..." Ocean said, biting her palm with her fangs to draw blood.

"You wouldn't," Nix approached.

"What are you taking about?" Zev asked quite alarmed.

"Didn't he tell you?"

Zev headed towards Ocean, looking at her heavily, at that, the other reinforcements appeared behind, very close to Ocean.

Those five, Maeko, Ayden, Barret, Evander and Ocean looked different, they emanated an aura of unease, as if they were the very horsemen of the apocalypse. A lot of blood flowed from Ocean's hand due to the bite, she slowly moved towards Milo's physical body.

Zev bit his lip and frowned, he decided to run towards her since she would surely do something crazy, however, at the moment of doing so, he heard her say a few words.

"Fire burial..."

The blood on her hand caught fire, this was different from the incineration she could create. The fire was bright red with orange flashes and the heat from it was twice as intense as normal fire, even from a distance Zev could feel how hot it was.

"What do you think you're doing?" He shouted at her from afar and ran at full speed towards her.

With every step he took, Milo's original body was incinerated to the point of death, Ocean had no mercy nor was she forced, she was murdering Milo. Seeing that act, Nix reacted and went from behind Zev to attack Ocean, however, Ebon appeared to defend her, creating a shield of dark darkness around her and all the reinforcements.

"What was Milo right about?" Zev questioned himself as he felt the scorching heat close to him.

His vision blurred, he began to suffocate and the tears melted when they touched his cheeks.

"They shouldn't win," he heard in his head.

How many times did he not hear those words? They must not win. He looked at them all with deep resentment, he never felt welcome with them, they were always treated badly and made fun of for not having the same abilities.

"The whole time," he said, kneeling before his dead brother's ashes, "they made me believe that I was the one with the problem, that Nix was the bad one..."

He stood up as he watched Milo's soul fade away in the wind.

"But you are the problem," he looked at them.

The eyes of the reinforcements emitted a different glow, literally shining with the representative color of their element. Zev examined each one's gaze.

Ayden's bright blue eyes reflected a rough sea, Barret's brown eyes showed landslides and openings in the earth, Maeko's gray eyes could have a voice even without speaking. Evander's poisonous green eyes were loaded with infinite emotions and finally Ocean's reddish orange eyes, similar to Ebon's, which only showed the desire to burn everything. Each one so different but similar at the same time, Zev had understood what happened.

"I would like to kill all five of you but if I kill just one, you will leave this place forever," he said with a firm stance as he searched for something in his backpack.

Ebon laughed loud and clear, "I want to see you try."

"But if one of us kills you first, it's over," Ocean said with a proud smile on her face.

To some extent, Ocean looked unhinged, as if she had been waiting for this moment.

Ebon transformed into a dog and with a howl summoned a legion of spirits to form a barrier around that place of fight so that no one outside could try anything.

Zev took out the sword with which he cut the thread that united him to Nix and with his stuck grudge and a lot of willpower, he decided to face the reinforcements and avenge his brother's death.

"Please don't die you, Ayden," Ebon said holding him by the chin.

Nix sent for Shun to fulfill his role, to be Zev's shield and have a fair fight.

A fight of strong emotions, revenge, resentment and betrayal was about to take place.
