Training

(Levar Point of View)

I feel that I am laying on someone. I slowly get myself to wake up as I feel someone moving me and something sitting on my lap. When I am a bit more awake, I see that Lev is on me and when I look up I see Asaka. I must have fallen asleep while we were cuddling. I didn't mean to but she doesn't seem to mind and she is nice to cuddle with as I sleep.

"Morning," I mumble.

"Good morning darling, how did you sleep?"

"Good, you are hot and I have missed this. I have wanted cuddles for a while so this was great." I am still half asleep as I speak. I do my best to wake up a bit more.

"I have missed holding you as well, darling. By the way, have you thought about training Lev?"

"I have. I want to see if I can train him to be able to track people down like dogs do in the movies."

"Oh? Why is that?"

She seems willing to hear me out on this, so maybe we will be able to start the training. I do think that would be fun and we would be able to spend more time together. "Because I think it would be fun. Plus, that would definitely be a cool trick. Do you know how you are going to do it?" And it would give me more to do when we are home alone. It wouldn't be easy with one person but luckily I have Asaka with me to help.

"I do have a plan. I want to do something where you would hide somewhere and I would give him some of your clothing for him to smell before going to find you and if he finds you, he gets a treat. Now at first, it would have to be out in the open before slowly hiding more and more each time so he can learn."

"Do you want to start today?"

"Can we?"

"Yes, darling we can. I want to be able to spend more time with you as I have been working a lot."

I get out of bed as I have Lev follow me. I head into Asaka's room to grab one of her dirty shirts before I sit down on the ground. Luckily she does have some that I can use for this.

"Lev, I want you to smell this, can you do that boy?" I hold the shirt up to him so he can smell it but he is just staring at it. "Come on boy. Do you want a treat? Smell it for a treat." He knows what treats are but doesn't seem to know what I want from him. I smell the shirt. It smells like her normal whiskey and strawberries. She smells good. I don't think she has had a drink in a while though. I know before she goes to work she puts some perfume on so maybe she can get a few drinks there. I don't know. I put the shirt back to Lev, hoping he will follow along with what I just did. He does smell the shirt this time. "Good boy. Now, go find her." He doesn't move as he looks at me, most likely wanting a treat. Maybe I should go find her and he will follow. I get up and start walking and Lev follows.

When I get into the living room, I hear the water on in the kitchen, so she must be in there. "Lev boy, go into the kitchen. Go get food." Lev walks into the kitchen and I follow him with a smile. He walks up to Asaka. Yes, he did it. It was harder than I thought it would have been but he did it so I am counting that as a win.

"Look. He found you."

"Yes, he did, darling. Good job." She puts something down in the sink before walking up to me. I wonder if she was making something.

"What are you making?"

"I was going to start on dinner for us while I waited but now that you found me, do you want to help?" I want to help her. Then I can make better food for her.

"I do. I want to help."

"Good. Then let's get started. Do you want to make the noodles or meatballs?"

I pause for a moment. What would be easier? After all, if I mess it up she will have to do it for me. I know how expensive meat is right now and I have heard the noodles don't have a lot of ingredients in them so noodles would most likely be the best choice. "I want to make the noodles."

"Do you know how to?"

I shake my head. "No, I don't."

She smiles at me. "Well let me get the ingredients out and then we can start." I watch as she grabs everything that we need. I am a bit surprised that she only needs three things for this but then again I have heard there isn't a lot to it. "First things first, do you want to do it in a bowl or on the counter?"

"What's the difference?"

"I don't think there is a difference." Oh, so he must be a preferences type of thing then. I guess I should do the counter because most things use a bowl so it might be better on the counter if that is an option.

"Then we can do it on the counter."

"Good choice."

She thinks it's a good choice. I did good then. I hope she is proud of me.
