Season 1; A Zorphax Uses The Ability To Manipulate Spatial Subspace.

"A spatial subspace is a Unique Inheritance that allows creatures like a Zorphax or even Human Inheritors to store objects, minor living beings, and the divine. Although compared to Human Inheritors, Zorphaxes have a limited capacity for storing items. Nevertheless, Ophelia here can carry a paper."

Lawrence moved closer to the bird, "Fascinating. Is this especially only to Imperials?"

Gallion shook his head, "This is only for Emperor Sage. But on Estella's way to finding a bird messenger aviculturist, she walked by the Emperor and told him what you needed. His majesty directly granted your highness the privilege to use the Imperial Aviculturist at any time."

Lawrence moved his hand closer to the zorphax. Ophelia screeched and flew above. It then charged towards Lawrence.

"Your highness!" the maid shouted in fear.

Ophelia scratched Lawrence's left cheek and flew back on Gallion's shoulder.

Gallion's face grew anxious and surprised. "I-I'm sorry, your highness! Ophelia is still young and aggressive. Please, forgive me."

'What was that?' Lawrence thought. 'Did the zorphax communicate with me just now?' he touched his left cheek. The blood came out of his wound and flowed down under his chin.

"The wound is deep!" the maid screamed again. "I'll call a doctor, your highness-!"

"There's no need." Estella interrupted. She advanced towards Lawrence and started lip-syncing chants. She placed her hands on Lawrence's cheek then water started surrounding his wound. The wound recovered, and Estella glared at Gallion. "This is a serious offence."

"I'm sorry, your highness." Gallion stooped.

"No. I'm fine." Lawrence answered. He gazed towards the zorphax, two wings opened. "Ophelia," Lawrence called the zorphax. "Come." he held out his forearm.

The bird screeched louder then flapped its wings to fly on Lawrence's forearm. Its sharp nails gripped Lawrence's forearm, and blood started rushing out of his flesh. Its flapping wings folded and calmed as he settles on Lawrence's forearm.

"Y-your highness!" Gallion leaned forward. "That's impossible! Oh, my grace!" he held both of his arms towards the zorphax as if seeing a miracle.

Lawrence closed his eyes and leaned his forehead against the zorphax's, 'Take my letter to Eugene Ezra Paxton and make it as fast as you can. I'll reward you after your return.' he thought, then retreated. The bird unfolded his wings, and a blue ray of light started emitting from its feathers. Quietly, the bird flew out of the window and into the sky.

"Y-you can communicate with the zorphax? L-like his majesty can! Impossible..., no. You are a Sage. Branding it impossible would be foolish! Is this a genetic talent? No. A genetic ability? Perhaps Inheritance? I don't understand..." Gallion thought deeply, confusing Estella and the maid beside him.

"Thank you for lending me the zorphax, Ophelia." Lawrence scanned his forearm. The grip caused deep wounds on his forearm, but it didn't hurt.

Estella held Lawrence's forearm and started lip-syncing, chanting again. The wound started closing, and the blood started drying.

Lawrence stared at Estella, "Thank you," he uttered upon Estella's retreat. He then shifted towards the maid and Gallion, "You can leave with the birdcage. Now, save me the trouble by not making a fuss about this incident. Perhaps I might not report what happened here to the Emperor who seems deeply caring about me." Lawrence took a cloth from his desk and wiped the blood off his forearm.

"Y-yes, your highness." the maid anxiously replied. She grabbed Gallion and the trolley out of the room and closed the doors.

Estella still stared at Lawrence, "What happened, dear?"

Lawrence placed the cloth back on the desk, "I was able to communicate with the zorphax for some reason. It called to me, and so I reached back. I ordered Ophelia to send the letter as fast as he can, and I'll reward him graciously after his return." Lawrence explained.

"I see." Estella sighed. "But why did it harm you twice?"

Lawrence glanced at the window, "It didn't. I guess it was just a gesture of greetings. You used a healing chant twice. You must be exhausted."

Estella shooked her head, "I can handle this much dizziness."

"Have you eaten? Rest in the bed. I'll call some servants to bring some dinner." Lawrence.
