Chapter Eleven

Brook full of hate for Shadow(Lucas),

seeing him progress swiftly and gaining

traction. He plans to set Shadow up and

make sure his popularity fades. But the

more He tries to bring him down. the

more, his name gains weight.

Brook drove alongside Shadow(Lucas),

Kally and Jim. Matteo's bodyguards.

They came to a stop. A place full of

gangsters. Brook ordered. "Hey Shadow,

get down and go get me that guy on

black, seated in the middle."

Without fear Shadow walks towards the

tall rough looking gangster and

uttered. "My superior wants to have a word

with you."

The tall gangster glanced up from his seat,

his cold eyes narrowed as he studied Shadow.

The atmosphere thickened, the other gangsters watching closely, waiting for a violent reaction. Silence stretched, every breath heavy with anticipation.

"You got guts, boy," the gangster finally growled, his voice deep and menacing. He stood up, fixed his gaze Shadow, but Lucas remained calm, his expression unreadable. The other gangsters seemed ready to

pounce if their boss gave the signal.

Brook watched from the car with a smirk, confident that this would be the moment Shadow would fall heavily. Kally and Jim, exchanged uneasy glances.

But Shadow(Lucas) didn't flinch. His gaze never wavered as he responded, "I take it

as a compliment. But I'm not here for guts,

I'm here on business. My superior would

like to have a word, that's all."

The gangster's expression darkened. His

men began to close in, but before they

could take a step, Shadow moved. In a

fast paced motion, he disarmed two

thugs nearest to him, knocking them to

the ground with a swift move. His

movements were efficient and deadly,

and in the blink of an eye, he was back in

his original position, standing in front of

the gangster leader, calm as ever.

The crowd of gangsters stared in shock,

by Shadow's effortless display of skill.

"I suggest you take the invitation," Shadow uttered in low tone, but it carried an undeniable authority.

Brook's face tightens, He thought this was the perfect setup to humiliate Shadow, but instead, it only increased his reputation.

As Shadow turned to walk back to the car,

the whispers began to spread among the gangsters. The name 'Shadow' now carries weight, more than it had before. Brook clenched his fists, his plan to undermine Shadow had once again backfired.

Through Matteo, Shadow(Lucas)

encounters Carlo,

a rival mafia boss who had once been

close to Leonardo but later betrayed him. Lucas suspects Carlo had a hand in the assassination attempt.

"You're Matteo's new pet, huh? I've

heard a lot about you. Your name echos

everywhere in the streets." Calo grinning at

Shadow (Lucas).

"I'm here to do my job." Shadow coldly

Intoned

"Let's hope you're better at it than your predecessor." Calo says chuckling.

Lucas keeps his cool, but inside, he boils

with anger. With the thought.

'I will get you all, one by one."

After the tense meeting, Lucas meets with Alex in secret. Alex can see the rage

burning inside him.

Alex warning.

"Carlo's no fool. He might suspect

something. Don't let your emotions give

you away."

Lucas gritting his teeth

"I know. But he's responsible, Alex. I know

it."

"We will get him, but not yet. Patience.

This is not just about revenge. It's about

rebuilding the walls of your father's broken

empire, what your father left behind."

Lucas continues working under Matteo, gathering intel on who he can trust and who was involved in the plot. Every day brings him closer to unraveling the truth.
