Chapter 3 – Li Yu meets his dad

"Young master, the patriarch had been extremely furious when he received the news of you being poisoned." "He was just about to go to Plum Blossom Inn to seek the person that poisoned you, as he knew it was one of the places you always visit the most, when he received the news of you waking up, which lessened his anger a bit."

Little Liu pursed her lips to look at Li Yu's face as she narrated what had happened after he lost his consciousness.

She continued when she saw his expressionless face.

"The sage doctor had also told the patriarch that the poison in your body was not just administered recently.

He was extremely surprised, as though he had seen a ghost when he saw you wake up, as he had thought there was zero hope for you."

Little Liu finished with a deep fear written boldly on her face when she thought of the possibility of not seeing her master again.

She immediately rebuked the thought.

Li Yu is currently filled with mixed feelings.

One part that belongs to the previous Li Yu in him felt care and sorry for his old man, while the other part that belonged to himself felt frustrated for the care he felt for a stranger.

Slowly, Li Yu couldn't help but sigh as he remembered everything little Liu had told him.

"Little Liu," Li Yu suddenly said quietly, after making up his mind.

"Yes, young master," with fear still written on her face, Little Liu responded.

"Send a message to the shadow guards that we will be causing some huge scenarios in a while; they should start preparing."

Li Yu muttered quietly with a cold voice and a wicked glint in his eyes, and Little Liu nodded quietly.

She immediately began to look forward to that day.

'I must destroy the person who dared to touch my master,' she vowed silently, killing intents oozing out of her body, which felt out of place considering her beautiful appearance.

Li Yu smiled appreciatively when he saw this.

"But before that, let's go check on father first," Li Yu swallowed, "to calm him down."

"Hun... But you're just getting better. Wouldn't you be stressing yourself if you were to do that?"

Little Liu began to feel nervous.

"Little Liu, I can still talk and walk with the current strength in my body, you know?"

Li Yu teased playfully.

Li Yu did not blame little Liu at all; instead, he even appreciated her gesture, as he knew that she was only concerned for his health.

"Okay…."

Li Yu stood up with the help of Little Liu, and together they exited the room.

Li Yu's courtyard was not exactly big or small. It was built on two plots of land that were located in the southern part of the Lin Clan's estate.

Li Yu's courtyard was an elegant one, which befits a perfect playboy like him.

Different fruit trees that always have beautiful little birds on them twenty-four hours round the clock, different colorful flowers that lay on every inch of the wide ground, and also a big blue pond that always lets out beautiful fog.

Li Yu took a deep breath out of the natural fragrance of the courtyard.

With his pale face and white lips, Li Yu finally exited the courtyard with little Liu, who locked the gate behind him.

After taking a long walk on the deserted road, Li Yu and Little Liu finally reached a large field that encompassed thousands of hectares of land.

They were suddenly met with crowds of people who were busy doing their things.

Some were sparing, some were discussing, some were training their companion beasts, some were going their ways, some were meditating, and so on.

"Hey Li Fan, isn't that the patriarch's son that was said to be poisoned? Someone suddenly asked quietly to his friend.

"Hun…. I- I think he's the one. Wasn't it said that his current life and death situation were unknown?"

The person who was asked the question exclaimed with shock, which caused the people near them to glance curiously at where these two friends were looking.

"What?! Isn't this the useless patriarch's son?"

Another person questioned quietly, and like this, everybody stopped whatever they were doing at the moment and began to mutter quietly amongst themselves while giving Li Yu different ridiculous faces.

"Look at his face, as white as a ghost."

"How dare he continue to even stay in the inner family?"

"Have you forgotten that his father was the patriarch?!"

"Sigh!!!*

"Senior brother Longwei is still the best."

"Look at you, comparing a mortal to an immortal."

"Oh, that's true, look at me."

Most of the people present were so disappointed when they saw Li Yu alive, also in single pieces.

Little Liu, whose face was already covered with an expressionless face mask, had begun to leak out a cold killing intent at the moment when she heard the crowd's discussion.

Although these people were muttering quietly to themselves, how could she, who had trained her awareness, not hear them?

She could hear every word very loud and clear, which only keeps fueling her anger.

Li Yu secretly gave her a small pinch.

[Young master, till when will you allow these ordinary ants to keep ridiculing you?]

Little Xin questioned angrily in her mind, but she did as Li Yu intended; she withdrew her killing intent, which was not felt at all by the weak brats present.

Although Li Yu was as weak as a mosquito and could not hear the things that were being muttered, he could still see the ridicule written clearly on the crowd's faces.

Both boys and girls alike.

In this world that was only dominated by strength, Li Yu was not surprised at all by the look he was given.

He decided to ignore them; they were not worth him getting angry over.

Dragging Little Liu's hand, which was supposed to be the other way around, as it was Li Yu who was currently weak, they left the scene.

Everywhere they passed, Li Yu was always first given a shocked look, then a ridiculous one, while Little Liu; a pitiful look.

"Master, why do you always bear with their ridicule every time without getting mad?"

Little Liu, who could not understand her master's thoughts, finally voiced her question.

She had been meaning to ask her master since she was young, but she always thought it was her master's habit, but now, she couldn't take it anymore this time around as she has sworn to always take even the slightest revenge for her master since he was poisoned.

Li Yu smiled slightly. How could he explain to her that the person who would not care for others' ridicule was not him?

"Little Liu, have you ever seen an immortal argue with ants?!"

This finally catches little Liu's attention.

"Would an immortal argue with a mortal?"

She repeated the question several times, as if there were another meaning to it.

Seeing this, the smile on Li Yu's face intensified.

He continued dragging the stunned Little Liu forward until they reached a huge mansion that could be seen from afar.

This is where the clan leader resides and where all the decisions that have to do with the clan were made.

Not giving the guards holding long spears and facing each other any glance, Li Yu swaggered into the mansion with Little Liu on his tail.

'What an arrogant brat,' the guards thought unhappily, but showed nothing on their faces.

"Little Yu, why do you come?! Shouldn't you know better of your conditions to rest in your residence?" A deep male's voice suddenly chastised Li Yu angrily.

The person that just spoke was nowhere in sight, and it was only Li Yu that heard.

It was his father that transmitted his thought into his mind

Li Yu was not shocked at all by this, as he knew that everybody who had reached at least the first level of the Golden core realm would naturally awaken this ability, to pass their thought into other's minds.

Ignoring the voice, Li Yu continued forward.

In no time, Li Yu walked into a huge study alone, leaving Little Liu outside.

He met with a sturdy man who was currently fuming with anger.

"You- you brat, why are you here?"

The man was always good at keeping his composure calm, except when Li Yu was present.

"Hahaha, father, I heard you were mad when someone poisoned your dear son," Li Yu imitated the way the previous owner of his body would speak.
