"I'm saving you from getting scammed. You should be thankful for my help."

The man snapped back when Chika started yelling for help. So, he led her at the back alley where there's no people passing around.

Chika squeak when she was pushed towards the wall. Her body trembled as tears started to form in her eyes.

"Mi-mister, I have no money le-left…" Chika took out the pouch that contains several coins and handed it towards the man.

"I don't want your money. As I've said earlier, I'm saving you from getting scammed by that old man. Be careful in Trodale since it's your first time coming here."

The man spoke softly for Chika to calm down and stepped back to give her space.

"How do you know that I'm new here?" She ask with her eyes squinting over the man as fear started to grow inside her.

"Because you smell fresh."

The man shrugged and was about to go away but Chika hurriedly pulls him back because she doesn't want to be alone in Trodale and she felt that the man won't do her harm.

"Whe-where are you going!?"

Chika unconsciously screams while holding onto his robe and not letting him go.

"Hee, a small girl like you has such amazing strength." The man's hoodie falls down from his head to reveal hair of both black and white and eyes of the storm.

Chika couldn't help but be mesmerized by his unique looks that she forgot what she was about to say. The man removed her hand and pull up his hood.

"If you wanna come then make sure not to interrupt my business."

The man started walking away as Chika followed silently behind him while looking around the shops. She saw many groups forming around with their weapons dangling on their body as they boasted among themselves.

The man she's with goes to the bulletin board full of posters and that's the time where Chika gets interested as well since all of the posters are about the raid.

"Since the fall of the Fire Clan, these towers appeared out of nowhere, and inside are monsters that are waiting for the gates to open and destroy everything they see. They are different to the creatures living in this realm."

The man explained when she noticed the confused expression of Chika while she looked at the posters.

He grabbed one and went away, so she followed and randomly grabbed one of the posters attached.

"Umm, so these raids keep the monsters inside the tower?" Chika asked as she looked at the poster she picked.

"Sort off but it will respawn over time. It depends on how strong the boss is inside the tower. If you plan to earn some money, you can join the raid of your choice and you will be rewarded with money but be careful. It might cost your life---"

As the man turn around to face Chika, she was no longer there. He turn to each side but didn't see even her shadow and he thought that maybe she went to some groups to do a raid. He shrugged off and went on his own as well.

"This raid said to be on Iron Class, what does it mean?"

Chika is too busy reading the details on the poster that she didn't notice where she was going and when she didn't hear a reply, that's the only time she noticed that she was all alone, again.

"Ah! I didn't even get his name."

She scratched her head while trying to look around but her attention get caught by a group of youngsters yelling towards the crowd.

"Join our raid! Bronze Class!"

Chika hurriedly went there without considering the danger of the raid as a first-timer as she just want to earn money to get by.

"Can I join?" She awkwardly approached the group but she was welcomed warmly.

"Sure, that would be great. What's your skills and type of creature you belong to?" A young girl holding a paper list Chika's name and waiting for her answer.

Chika felt nervous as she doesn't have any fighting skills to help the group. When the young girl noticed Chika was hesitant to answer. She pulled her to the side for them to have privacy.

"You're new here?" The young girl ask as her fox ears wiggled in anticipation.

"Ah, yes. Sorry if I'm a bit nervous."
