Narrator pov

Elora and Nathan were having their lunch at the canteen, both were laughing and chatting.

"you can't be serious Nat".she laughed and Nathan smiled staring at her.

"I like the fact that you are the only one abbreviating my name,".he said

"Really?" she asked sipping from her juice.

"yes,".they chuckle." so, Elora, I was mainly to ask you something".

"Okay, what is it?

"um'.he cleared his throat "hope you won't get offended,- I wanted to ask you if you will be chance this Saturday?".

"um, yeah, why?"

"I will like you to go out with me,".he said and Elora stare surprisingly at him." will you?" he asked, and then she got interrupted by a phone call.

"excuse me".she stare at the caller and let out a sigh." yes?" she answered rudely as she picked up the call, then Marvin's voice came through the other end.

"where are you?" he asked sounding serious and Elora scoffs.

"is that supposed to be a question or what, where on earth should I be, if not the canteen, or are you now blind that you don't know it lunch time".she replied and Nathan stared at her.

"I don't care, I need you here now!" he yelled and hung up before she could say anything.

"what thy hell".she grunts angrily.

"is everything okay?" he asked and she let out a sigh.

"Seriously I can't take this anymore ".

"is Marvin bothering you again?"

"Now he needs my presence at this time". she sighed angrily.

"try to calm down a bit, you just have three more days left to answer to him,".he said calmly.

"you are right, just three days" she stood up."I will catch up with you later".

"Okay,".he replied and she left to answer Marvin at the gym.

"what do you want?".she asked angrily staring at Marvin who was operating his phone.

"Should I remind you that you work for me and that you should mind the way you speak back at me? ".he said and Elora scoffs.

"Why do you call me here when you know it's lunchtime". she asked.

"Well, I need your services".

"on what exactly?".

"Nothing, just stay guard for me".he replied and Elora stare confusedly at him.

"What? Are you serious right now?"

"yeah, your service here is to watch guard for me". he replied and return to his phone, Elora frowned and tightened her fist, Marvin notice it and scoffed.

Later at home, Elora was helping nanny and the other maids in the kitchen

"nanny, there is something I need to tell you". Elora said.

"Okay, what is it dear?".

"nanny, a boy ask me out,".she said shyly and Nanny stare amusedly at her also with the other maids who murmur to each other. meanwhile, Marvin hide behind the kitchen door listening to their conversation, also with Kevin who was beeping and smiling at him from behind.

"Really dear?" she asked smiling at her.

"yes, nanny".

"That's good, who is the lucky guy".

"well, is Nathan".she replied, and nanny gasped.

"Nathan? The one you told me about?".

"yes nanny".she smiled

"wow, that's nice, how well do you know this Nathan of guy?"

"well, not too well, but with these few weeks I have been with him, he is nothing but a sweet and amazing guy".

"Really? So, did you accept to go on a date with him?"

"um, I haven't replied to him yet".

"Why dear?". she asked surprisingly.

"that was because I was shocked because he is the first guy to ask me out..and I was about to reply to him when that wizard of a boy called Marvin interrupted me".

"Okay, what were you going to say to him by then if Marvin has not interrupted you?" she asked...

"well...." she sighed.."I don't know nanny, should I go for it?" she asked confusedly and Marvin interrupted them as he step into the kitchen.

"no," he said and they turn to him quickly.

"excuse me!"Elora said.

"you heard me, you are not going out with that quack of a guy,".he said.

"how is it your business who I choose to go out with, ".she said rudely.

"yeah, she is right Marvin". Kevin said from behind.

"come on son, Elora has every right to go out with whom she chooses to go out with". nanny said.

"yes, I mean not all guys outside there behave like you". Kevin said and Marvin stare hard at him.

"of course, Nathan whom I know of is more of a kind-hearted man unlike some people". Elora said indirectly to Marvin.

"are you referring to me?" he asked frowning.

"do I look like I care".she scoffed and turn back to nanny," So nanny, what do you think?"

"you should go for it".

"yes Elora, I support what nanny said". Kevin said and Elora smiled.

"Okay, if you two say so, at least there are some good people in this house that care about what other people do, ".she said and left to her room. Marvin sighs and walks away, Kevin stares after him and shakes his head. Some hours later, Marvin was relaxing on the balcony along with a glass of wine.

"you know is not advisable to drink red wine at your age". Kevin teases from behind and then moves to sit next to him.

"what are you doing here?"Marvin asked unlikely.

"can't you tell, am here to keep you company" he took the wine and sip a little from it.

"Well, I don't need your company".

"you do".he laughs ."anyway, when are you going to admit it"

"admit what?"Marvin asked confusedly.

"your feelings, I know you like Elora, that's why you are stopping her from accepting to go on a date with that guy,".he said and Marvin turn his gaze to him.

"Are you crazy! How dare you say such a thing?".

"Because you know I am right"

"no, you are not! That girl beneath me, why will I stoop

so low to have feelings for her, don't you ever say that again, Kevin".he warned.

"you can't hide the truth forever, if you don't like her as you say, then why are you stopping her from going on a date".

"This is my house, I decide what happened in here".

"Not when it comes to Elora, you and I know you have been wanting her to leave this house for good, and you hate every sight of her".

"yes I do and I still want her out of my house," he said and Kevin scoffs.

"but I don't think so anymore," he said and Marvin stare angrily at him.

"why am I my having this conversation with you anyway, you know what, leave!".

"Are you serious"

"do you see me laughing".he replied

"you are so stubborn Marvin".he stood up."don't say I didn't tell you, the earlier you admit it the better for you".he smiled and walked away.

"so annoying".he grunt
