chapter 7 promise

"humm... Well yes dad Chris came to my room and told me to ask you about Dina Lina" I replied truthfully.

"Of course, Elena I want you to do something for me" he said

"What's that dad" I replied confused.

"I want you to help me get information from Chris that way we can be able to protect you, besides my father always told me to keep my friends close but my enemies closer".he said mischeivously. "Okay dad I understand" I said and left my dad's room

"You think you know how to play checkers but you don't know am playing chess" the king said with an evil look when his daughter left.

I went back to my room wondering about everything dad just told me." So that means the only reason why Chris is so nice to me is because he wants to marry me, but Johan looks like his elder brother so is that why he tried to kidnap me" I was puzzled. "But then why did Chris stop him, is he a good guy". I couldn't sleep because I kept wondering about if Chris was the good guy or the bad guy. "But why would Chris want me to know the truth if he was bad" I asked myself.

Then the door to my room opened and I got scared that it was Chris again since no one comes to visit me this late. But then I saw my mom's head peak out and I sighed in relief.

"Mom what are you doing here so late" I said.

"Well I saw your room's light was still on and I wanted to check up on u" mom said

"Mom am fine I just don't feel sleepy yet" I answered. "Well do you mind if I sleep next to you today"she said worriedly. "Okay" I said with a fake smile and slept next to my mum on the bed.

"Good night darling" mum said "Good night mum"I said then slept off. 

The next day I wanted to see Chris so badly that I tried calling him to come see me but I could not, I tried so many times but it didn't work so I decided to go see my dad again.

"Dad do u think Chris knows about your plans" I said "of course not dear" he replied "then why hasn't he come to see me, I even tried calling out his name but it didn't work" I said worriedly. "Okay, calm down dear now give me your hair pin" he said so I did 

"So try calling him again when you get back to your room but don't tell him about me at all"he said

"Okay thanks Dad". I went back to my room and tried calling him. I tried just calling at first but it didn't work so I decided to concentrate and called him from my heart and he appeared.

"So what might be the matter that the princess decided to call me" he said with a knowing smile.
