Aria and Helen entered their classroom in which they were to have their exam after breakfast.
Professor Iris with their teacher, Professor Dalhia was waiting for them.
The two greeted their teachers and were asked to take their seats.
Aria took her seat after leading Helen to her's where Professor Dalhia came to explain what all was kept on the table. Aria tilted her head as she looked at her own table, there was a container of water and a small kind of box with a handle in the front.
Aria recognised it as a smaller version of an ice box, where ice was kept to keep it from melting. She opened the box and sure enough, very cold wind blew out.
Aria closed the ice box and looked around, forming her own conclusions as to what the exam would be.
When all the students who were supposed to take the exam had settled down, Professor Iris began, "Today, you all are going to have your fifth exam in water precision. I'm sure you all have noticed by now that it's a practical exam and have formed some conclusion as to what it is. I'll let Professor Dalhia explain about it while I go to check on other students taking their exams. Good luck to all of you. I hope all of you will pass."
Saying this Professor Iris smiled at all of them before leaving. This was customary, the head of the courses would be there to welcome you before the exam started, but they would leave to see the others. And the exam would be conducted by the Professor that had taught you that month.
Professor Dalhia began, "You all see the container of water and the ice box in front of you right? Now look, I have an ice box myself here. And your exam.....is to make this."
Saying this she opened the ice box and and took out a beautifully made flower vase, complete with flowers and leaves. Made of ice!!!!!!
She set the vase on her table so that everyone could take a good look and said, "I'm not asking you to produce an exact replica of this. You may make any vase and flowers you like. But remember, it should be a nicely made vase complete with flowers and leaves."
Aria blinked as the Professor continued, "You all have till dinner. The exam will come to an end as soon as the dinner bell rings. I'm sure you all have understood, but let me say it.
Your vase needs to be completely frozen to be handled like this once the dinner bell rings. If it's not satisfactorily made, or is not yet frozen, you fail this exam. Any questions?"
Aria raised her hand and spoke, "Do we only have to use the water available to us? Or can we use anything?"
Professor Dalhia shook her head, "You can only use the water in front of you. If there are no more questions, you may begin."
As soon as the Professor said this, all the students began to instantly bend and there was a lot of noise of water splashing here and there. Aria sat still as she tilted her head. The real exam was not to make the vase, it was to keep it in shape for long enough to freeze.
This was not only a precision test, it was an endurance test along with it!
