Aria was shocked and stood rooted on the spot. Julia tried to calm Beth but the latter jerked her away and continued shouting, "You know what you are? You're just an evil, pretentious person who puts on a mask in front of the world. You can act all cute in front of father and mother, but I know, you just want everything for yourself. You....you are a demon wearing an angel's mask. And I.....I HATE YOU!!!!"
Beth finished speaking. She was panting as silent tears began to flow from Aria's eyes. Julia was shocked and she said, "Aria, Beth did not mean that. Right Beth? TELL ARIA YOU DID NOT MEAN THAT!!!!"
Beth looked at the crying Aria with contempt in her eyes. She said, "No Julia, I meant every word I said. I hate her. She is even pretending right now and crying crocodile tears. And you know what Aria? I wish you had never been born!"
Aria's eyes widened in shock and Julia clasped her hands to her mouth.
"Beth Welson, you take that back right now. Apologize to your sister, RIGHT NOW!!!!" A thundering voice came form behind the three girls.
Natalia had heard some voices and had come out of the room to hear Beth speaking with such distaste to her sister.
Beth turned around and said, "Look mother, you always side with her. She stole you from me. She stole everything from me. Your...your angel, might as well be a wicked witch."
That was it. That was all Aria could take. Her little heart was really hurt upon hearing such words from a sister she loved. Aria turned and ran. She ran down the stairs, out the castle, and into the forest.
Natalia turned to scold Beth but she also ran with tears in her eyes. She ran up the stairs. In Beth's mind, Aria always deliberately tried to steal everyone from her. Be it her parents, sister or even the servants, they all liked Aria better than her. But what Beth did not realise was that it was mostly because Aria had a really beautiful heart and a happy personality. Moreover, she only came home after a month, that too sometimes became longer when she was busy with the academy. So everyone could not help but love Aria.
Beth ran into her room and closed the door behind her. She then lay on the bed for some time before going to the window.
Natalia outside her bedroom was torn between whether to run after Aria or Beth. But her eyes fell on Julia, who was standing and weeping against the wall. Natalia picked her up and carefully wiped her tears before carrying her into the bedroom. She called Cora and said, "Cora, fetch me Joseph, please."
Cora nodded and rushed out of the room as Natalia began to console her middle daughter.
She rubbed her back and said, "It's okay, Julia. It's okay. They will make up for sure."
Julia sobbed, "Be-Beth said some....some awful things. I wonder if Aria would ever forgive her."
Natalia sighed, "We're lucky that Aria got your father's temper, unlike you and Beth. And she has a heart made of gold, she will forgive her sister."
