That was around the time Aria was being treated by the royal doctors and no one was sure if she would survive.
But surprisingly, the meadow had never ever fallen apart. It was still in perfect shape, even after Aria going through a life and death situation and being unconscious for over a week.
"I wonder who you really are." Joseph murmured, clutching the globe closer to his heart. "Not that it matters anymore. You have my heart, my soul, my mind, body, my whole life, everything wrapped around those pretty little fingers of yours." he added, "But I refuse to believe you are someone as ordinary as a princess. There is a princess in every generation. But you Aria, I don't think the world has ever seen someone like you."
Joseph frowned as he thought of something. He held the globe carefully in one hand and started to gently twirl the fingers of his other hand. But just as he had started to concentrate, Joseph snapped back due to a loud bell indicating the end of the class after lunch and the start of training sessions after that.
"Shit!! I have Professor Iris right now. She's gonna murder me if I'm late to her class." Joseph cursed as he quickly ran in the direction of the castle, pocketing the globe.
But when Joseph got to the class, he was surprised and disappointed to see that Professor Iris was not taking the session today. "Professor Iris never skips sessions. I wonder what happened." Joseph muttered as he took his position and the substituting teacher started to speak.
Inside Professor Thomas's office . . .
Professor Iris walked in and sighed loudly as she slumped into the chair. "She was never this much of a coward!" Professor Thomas exclaimed as he walked in after her and slammed the door.
"Calm down Professor." Professor Iris said, massaging her forehead. "She is not a coward." she continued, seeing Professor Thomas glaring at her. "Imagine, what would you do if something you had been running away from for almost two decades suddenly appeared right in front of your face. Anyone would be scared."
"And Amber has to deal with the fact that the whole kingdom knows what she did, on top of the fact that Aria might be the daughter she had abandoned." Professor Iris finished and looked into her lap.
"She's positively certain that Aria isn't her daughter, but not hundred percent sure."Iris continued, "I mean, it's to be expected. Amber has only ever seen Aria once, and that was when she was heavily injured."
"I do not need her to see if Aria's her daughter or not!!" Professor Iris almost jumped out of the chair upon hearing this. She looked up to see Professor Thomas pacing around the room. "I am not asking Amber to confirm if Aria's her daughter." he continued, a lot calmly now.
"Because I already believe that she isn't." "I agree that she looks nothing like Amber, but she might take after her father. And with her abilities, and her golden hair . . . . " Professor Iris's voice trailed off as Professor Thomas began to shake his head. "It isn't about looks. There's just something about Aria. I . . . . I don't know how to explain it, . . . " he struggled for words. "Have you ever fought against her?" he finally asked.
