Lovesick

"I truly believe you did everything you could that night." Jacob nodded, knowing he truly had done everything he was capable of. He wished he was stronger, but he had tried his best with what power he had. "But now," Aria continued, "Now you are not doing that. Helen needs you Jacob. Maybe even more than she did that night. She's lonely. She might have everyone around her, but she's lonely without you Jacob."

Jacob opened his mouth, then closed it. He opened it once again, and glancing into Aria's eyes, he knew. He knew that he could tell her anything, and the last thing she would do would be to judge. He knew that everything would be alright. "I don't know what to say to her." he finally said.

Jacob, whose eyes had fallen to his lap from Aria's eyes as he said this, looked up once again when he heard her chuckle. "I don't think you need to say anything." she said, a dorky smile on her face. Aria was truly mesmerized by how much Jacob and Helen seemed to need each other. And her heart filled with joy when she saw either of their faces when they thought of each other. They had such lovesick expressions on their faces when they did, exactly like the one Jacob had right now.

"Why om earth are you sitting here still? For god's sake, go!!" Aria exclaimed, seeing Jacob get lost in memories and not stand up. "What? Right now?!?!" Jacob was flustered.

Aria rolled her eyes, "No time like the present. Besides, she'll need someone to walk her to breakfast before she orders the tray in her room. Go!!" she exclaimed. And Jacob finally seemed to come to his senses as he stood up and rushed out, saying, "I'll come visit again."

"Not before you've made up with Helen?!" Aria called out and heard Jacob laugh as the door closed behind him.

Jacob hadn't even been gone a full minute when Miss Anhao rushed in, her hair in a disarray and a hairbrush in her hands. She was worried, but seeing Aria fine, her face broke into a smile. "Someone is energetic."

Aria shrugged with a smile, "I had a very good night's sleep." "That's great! Let me finish getting ready and I'll be back with your breakfast." Miss Anhao said.

Aria nodded and called out as Miss Anhao turned around, "And could you bring a stand to read books?" Miss Anhao smiled and nodded before leaving. Aria thought she heard her mutter 'Some things don't change.' but she wasn't sure.

Aria had settled down with a book after breakfast. "Ah! Nothing like recovery to catch up on one's reading." she muttered to herself as Aria did not life her hand and use wind bending to flip a page.

"Don't tell me you're planning on bunking our class." A voice called out and Aria turned her head to see Joseph coming over with a big pile of books in his hand. He dumped them on her bedside table and said, "I can help you with water precision, power and wind. I'm afraid I can't do anything about earth bending."

Aria smiled. "Its okay. I'll attend those classes once I'm well." Joseph nodded as he removed the novel Aria had been reading from the stand.
