I got into a ton of trouble

The girl in front with brown hair and deep blue eyes said, "Hey, you're the one who saved that boy right?"

Aria looked up and said with a smile, "I actually didn't save him. He fell due to me."

One of the boys said, "How did the two of you get up in the roof?"

Aria: "I flew us there, but now I deeply regret it."

Another girl spoke, in a rather excited tone, "Why do you regret it? Being able to bend wind so precisely is so cool."

Aria: "Maybe, but it got me in a ton of trouble on the first day I arrived here."

The second boy spoke, "Don't worry about it. This school is basically all trouble. Not even a day goes by that five or six people don't get in trouble."

Aria looked up, surprised, "Really?"

The boy said, "Really. Oh I'm sorry. We haven't even introduced ourselves."

After this each of the five introduced themselves. Aria was surprised to learn that they all attended the same class, but had been for different times at the academy.

As they rambled on, Aria thought and it began to make sense to her.

There was no specific time period for which the students had to study. All you had to do was pass the written and practical exams to move onto the next classes. The exams, Aria found out, were held every month, just like the fire academy.

The girl in the front spoke again, "Hey, this table is too small. Would you like to come our and sit at our table?"

Aria was not surprised. This was a power driven society. And as she had demonstrated her power in the afternoon, this was inevitable.

Aria gave a sweet smile as she said, "Actually, I'm rather tired today. Mind if I join you guys tomorrow?"

The girl also smiled as she said, "No worries. Take your time to adjust to the academy. It's going to be your home for the next, well, god knows how long."

As the group left, Aria noticed someone she knew enter the hall. Harper seemed sad and her eyes were also swollen, seemed like she had cried. Harper took her dinner and sat at a small table, rather like Aria's, as she began to eat.

As Aria was contemplating what to do, another group of three boys came upto her.

They began to chat as Aria smiled and made small talk. Finally, Aria decided to go talk to Harper. As she began, "Very sorry but....."

Her voice trailed off as she noticed Jacob walking over.

The three boys in front of Aria's table made way as Jacob sat down.

One of the boy, wearing glasses, said, "Hey, you're the one that Aria saved, right?"

Jacob smiled, "Jacob White. And yeah, I'm pretty lame for falling and having Aria save me."

Another boy asked Aria, "You both arrived today. Do you guys know each other?"

Aria looked around and said, "Actually, I have something I must do. You guys continue to chat."

Saying this, she picked up her tray of food and walked over to Harper's table. Harper seemed to have been looking towards Aria's table as she hurriedly dropped her gaze when she noticed Aria coming over.
