Joseph took Aria's one hand in his and placed his other hand on her back. Aria rolled her eyes seeing the smug expression on Joseph's face but she placed her free hand on Joseph's shoulder.
As the music started, the two of them began dancing. At first, Joseph went a little slow and his moves were plain and simple. He had definitely seen that Aria could handle herself in the dress, but he wondered if she knew how to dance.
But soon, Joseph found out that he couldn't have been more wrong about Aria not knowing how to dance. She moved perfectly in sync with Joseph and her every move, every swing was perfect.
The first song finished and Joseph and Aria bowed to each other.
Joseph took Aria's hand again as another song started and other people came on the dance floor too. "I didn't know you could dance this well." Joseph said.
Aria replied with a smile, "I can't. You're just very good at leading."
Joseph rolled his eyes and smirked, "Try to downplay your talent. Let's see you keep up with this. Try not to embarrass Helen. After all, she is the one who taught you all this."
Joseph went into a very complex dance routine as soon as he finished his sentence.
Anyone who hadn't had formal training would never have been able to keep up with him.
Even Aria thought once of pretending to not being able to keep up, but she just couldn't do that to Helen in front of all these people.
So Aria closed her eyes and remembered all those dance lessons from eight years ago.
She had always hated princessly things like dressing up and dancing but she had always been very good at them.
She was the princess of the fire kingdom after all.
Aria opened her eyes and they met Joseph's deep blue ones. Aria smirked and let all the dance lessons flow through her. It got to the point that by the end of the song, it was Joseph who was struggling to keep up with Aria.
Aria smiled as she bowed to Joseph after the dance. Neither one of them had noticed, but everyone else had stopped dancing and they were the only ones left in the middle of the crowd. As they bowed, the crowd launched into huge applause and cheers.
Aria blushed, realising everyone had been watching her as Joseph said, "I'll find out who you are Aria."
Aria forced out a smile, "I'm just an ordinary girl from a small village."
"Nothing about you is ordinary. And I'm sure you're not from a small village either." Joseph muttered as Aria walked towards the crowd.
Aria walked upto where Jacob and Helen were standing. Jacob immediately launched into exclamations of surprise about where she had learnt to dance so well, and even Helen appreciated her. Though she hadn't seen, Helen could tell Aria had danced extraordinarily well by the talk of people around her.
"Excuse me Miss, will you give me the privilege of having this dance?" All three of them suddenly turned upon hearing Joseph's voice.
Helen rolled her eyes, "You already danced twice with her. Still not satisfied?"
Jacob and Aria burst out laughing as Joseph stomped his foot. "I'm asking you, stupid girl."
Helen made a surprised face before putting her hand in Joseph's with a smile.
