He'll be just fine

Helen and Jacob became silent upon hearing this.

Professor Thomas consoled them and asked, "Can you both think of any reason why he would do this?"

Helen shook her head and said, "No I cannot. Can we see him?"

Professor Thomas looked towards Jacob, who seemed undecided. Professor Thomas raised an eyebrow and Jacob shook his head.

Professor Thomas put a hand on Helen's shoulder and said, "Of course you can see him. That is why I was coming to call you both."

Saying this he led the way, Jacob following, holding Helen's hand. As they reached Joseph's bed, Helen asked, "Professor? Will you be calling father here?"

Thomas: "I will be writing to your home informing them of Joseph's injuries. But I don't think a visit will be very necessary seeing his condition."

Helen nodded and looked at Joseph. He was still unconscious, and Miss Anhao was just done cleaning and bandaging him. She straightened up cheerfully, "No internal injuries. Joseph will probably be able to leave tomorrow morning."

Jacob pulled out a chair for Helen and she sat down at Joseph's bedside, holding his hand.

Jacob walked over to the entrance of the recovery ward, Professor Thomas followed him.

Once out of earshot, Professor Thomas said, "Now Jacob, I think you had something to tell me?"

Jacob hesitated, "I-I can't be sure. But I think...I know why Scott was acting like that."

Professor Thomas listened as Jacob scratched his head, "I didn't want to worry Helen, but I think it's probably due to Aria."

Professor Thomas: "Aria? Care to explain?"

Jacob: "It's just a guess. But Aria was quite angry, or rather disappointed at Joseph yesterday."

Professor Thomas sighed, "Aria? She doesn't have a quick temper."

"But when she does get angry, it's rather difficult to handle." Jacob agreed.

Professor Thomas began walking towards Joseph's bed without another word. When Jacob reached with Professor, Joseph was awake. He was trying to persuade Helen that he was just fine and it didn't hurt.

Professor Thomas eyed Joseph and he averted his eyes. Professor sighed and turned to Jacob. He said, "Can you run an errand for me Jacob?"

Jacob looked worriedly at Helen, and Professor Thomas said, "Don't worry. It won't take much time."

He twirled his fingers and a pencil and notebook came flying from the window.

Professor Thomas wrote a note, tore it from the book and handed it to Jacob, saying, "Take this to the kitchen. Give it to Mrs. Josh."

Jacob, with a worried glance towards Helen, headed out of the recovery ward.

In the kitchen.....

Aria was happily helping Susan when Mrs. Josh came towards her. She almost bumped into a bowl of flour Aria was transporting by using wind bending.

Mary sighed as she dusted a bit of flour that had dropped over her, "I really need to forbid bending in the kitchen."

Aria let out a guilty smile, "So the water would have to be fetched by hand everyday, and the fire would be lighted by.....how?"

Mary shook her head, "I can never win against you. Anyway, I have a message for you."

Aria put a finger on her chin, "Message? From whom?"

Mary: "Professor Thomas says he would love it if you dropped by his office after your punishment is over. And specially asks you to use the door."
